Close to the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano. There aren’t a whole lot of restaurants or cafes near the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano. We came across this one and figured it’d be nice to stop by for a cappuccino and restroom break prior to entering the Basilica. Upon entering, the place looks small but they have lots of seating in the back. The front of the restaurant is for a quick bite. If you choose to sit in their outdoor seating in the back, it’s full service and you will be charged. Their restrooms are in the back and a bit hidden. We decided to grab a quick cappuccino up front along with a pastry. Both came out in no time and service was friendly enough. I appreciate that they poured us a glass of bottled water as well for free. It was hot outside and that was sweet of him. The cappuccino was good but not great. It had a very light flavor. I think I got a bit spoiled from Tazza d’Oro and Sant’Eustachio Il Caffè. The pastry was also beautiful to look at but as far as flavor and consistency goes, there’s better out there.
