we came here primarily to eat seafood. the lobster was disappointing so I would recommend against that. the fish was a little dry but decent. I think the seabass was the best dish I had there

Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend it. Ate there on 4 different occasions and every time the food was wonderful. Basem was an excellent waiter; knows his wines. Would go back again

I really loved this place. We sat outside and got serenaded by a roving opera singer who was amazing. Just like a movie! I ordered the tortellini with prosciutto and cream sauce plus a side order of anchovy crostini– highly recommend both. Very reasonable prices, and the house wine is really good. The ambience sitting outside is great for people watching and the service is outstanding. Great location in the center of Rome, not far from the Trevi Fountain.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Pasta bolognese was my favorite. Wait staff was nice and fun. Good sense of humor. American friendly.

First time in Rome with my wife. Restaurants everywhere and everyone wants to give u a recommendation. Ate at a place very close to here with 5 stars recommended by friends. It was ok but pricey. Walked by this place and it was packed. The Carpaccio was unique and tasty and the best tell for an Italian restaurant is the pasta. Went back twice for the pasta Bolognese. Waiters are not that friendly but they speak English and your there for the food, right? The owner was very nice. Might be a language thing. By the way all the other dishes coming out of the kitchen looked great too and finished with a complimentary dessert wine.

When in Rome, you’re walking down the street just looking for a great meal, this place delivers. Fresh made pasta, unique recipes, great wine list, genuine staff, good atmosphere. It’s not over the top and that’s a good thing. Definitely coming back.

They have pretty good wine and pretty good service. The food and wine is fairly pricey for the actual quality. Both mine and my friend’s pasta tasted fishy. They also charge 3 euros if you even touch the bread basket they give you. OHAND I GOTFOODPOISONINGFROMTHEIRSHRIMP.

I searched around for the English menu or the English sign board outside advertising the specials. None. Good. Walk in, and all I could hear was Italian being spoken. Good. Look around, zero tourists except for the two that were with me. Great. Order the caccio y pepe, risotto alla pescatora, and spaghetti ala vongole. Superb. I found my local place in Rome.

THECORKPLACE. This is an alternative if you can’t get into La Pentolaccia next door, as happened to us. Certainly not as good, but nevertheless, homey & pleasant. I had the Caprese, which was delicious, and the«typical» meal of meatballs & pasta, which was also good. My grandson had pesto pasta & shrimp, also very good. The tattooed owner walks around in a dirty t-shirt talking on the mobile phone acting like he owns the joint(he does!). A bit obnoxious, but all the servers are nice.
