It was a very hot day and we had a lovely lunch. Cool salads and a delicious gazpacho surrounded by chopped vegetables. A few piccolo biers and what could be better. Strongly recommended.

Right around the corner of the Pantheon and away from the tourist/madness. Nice quiet, quaint wine bar with locals hanging out on the outdoor patio. The hubs and I ordered two glasses of vino. Staff is very polite and attentive! Along with our glasses they gave us some bruschetta. Prices are very reasonable. 6 – 9 euro a glass. Hip, relaxed and perfect!

This is a small intimate enoteca on a side street, recommended to us by a wine shop proprietor. We loved it, visiting twice during our stay in Rome. It has a nice wine list, not a large one. Food choices are limited, but very fresh and delicious. First visit: I had a rice dish with peas and fresh herbs. Delicious! This was after three different complimentary bruschettes, each crunchy, tasty, and very fresh. Second visit: After a similar assortment of bruschettes, I had a tasty steak prepared«Northern style»: Well seasoned with herbs, cut only about ¾ inch thick, and lightly grilled to be very rare in the middle. It’s not how I’d always want my steak but this way was very good too. We worked over the wines pretty well, staying late and going through several bottles of regional Italian wines on each visit, with great recommendations from the owner. It was a terrific place to relax and enjoy being in Rome on both visits.
