What an amazing gem in the center of the Jewish ghetto of Rome! The pizza they make here is amazing: they bake long pieces of flatbread, covered generously with olive oil or garlic olive oil, add some kosher salt, and perhaps a few veggies(or even with none it’s amazing), sometimes with tomato sauce, and then you simply tell them how much of the long masterpiece to cut off and package for you. During their busiest hours they are constantly baking and serving these massive pizzas. Get there early in the day, as the line gets unruly and overwhelming during meal hours. Of course, you have to balance this with the fact that you normal(devour as fresh as possible!). There is a numbered ticket machine, but the place is small and the locals love to crowd it. Being able to speak Italian is a plus, as you can get details on what’s on the pizza(sometimes the green is kale, sometimes it spinach or broccoli), and it makes it much easier to get multiple slices and different kinds(I had to make up a great deal of hand gestures). Another tip: ordering is one room, paying is in a smaller room to the right of the main entrance. Finally, considering the quality of what you get, the price is amazing. Do check it out: if you enjoy pizza, you will probably keep finding excuses to return to the ghetto!
