Look for a blue awning across from the baseball field. Perfect personal pizza sizes and you have plenty of ingredients to choose from to customize it.

Pie Whole has well presented, flavoursome food and wine at value for money prices. We normally avoid carbs and ordered plenty of salads, but also had to try the artichoke dip with jalapeño and were glad we did. We were also more than happy with the twisted Caesar with Spanish whitebait, in fact everything was delicious and the service was prompt and efficient. A pleasant experience we recommend…

Food is very good but service was mediocre, they seem OK with couples but with out group of six they were«sorry» all the time for the wait.

This is the 2nd worst pizza I have ever eaten in my 50+ years. It is our first night in St. Thomas and due to the high stars we ordered pizza. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a cheese lovers red. The cheese may have had some Parmesan sprinkled over it but there was no other cheese and no mozzarella and very little sauce with a burnt very thin crust. The pepperoni had a little more taste but not much. How on earth do people like this awful and tasteless expensive pizza? Eating Little Cesar’s pizza in the states is like gourmet compared to this tasteless and topping less cardboard.

Once again I was slightly disappointed with the food on the island. I thought since I couldn’t enjoy local island food, surely you can’t mess up pizza, right? Well, it wasn’t a complete disaster, but I had high hopes based on previous reviews. They were out of sausage. Good thing I’m cool with veggies. The crust did not have any flavor, and it was just a pizza. I’ve had better frozen pizza. I feel so bad writing this review because the people were very friendly so I gave them an extra star. Definitely not my worst food experience on the island, however.

The pizza here is definitely not to Hip on the pasta. Great atmosphere and love the outside dining. Service was fantastic and friendly. This is a come back too place! Unilocal directions are wrong they are right next to Bella Blu.

Ridiculous, 1 hour wait, and then entrees came out piecemeal. Don’t waste your time.

Love this place! They make you feel right at home. It’s a little«hole» in the wall but that’s what makes it so perfect. I will say I can imagine if it was crowded that you might need a sweatband. The service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious. We had the caprese salad, spinach dip and the cheese lovers with pepperoni and red sauce and I would highly recommend both(total for 2 people $ 49). The red sauce is so flavorful and I haven’t had a sauce like that since I was in Italy. Another good thing is that the pizza is not greasy at all. If you’re coming from a hotel and don’t know how to get back, the bartender will call you a cab to be there in about 5 mins-super helpful. The next time I’m in St. Thomas I will be sure to stop in for a meal.

My family has been coming to St Thomas for years now(9+, visiting most years but not every) and know a lot about local restaurants and different places to explore. We came across Pie Whole a few years ago and were excited at the idea of good quality pizza on the island. In the past it’s been a great but this experience has given credit to people talking about a decline in food and service over the last year or so. After traveling in yesterday afternoon we called for a takeout order at 730pm. While placing the order we found out that almost each one of our pizzas had to be modified because they didn’t have all the ingredients. A pizza shop not having Italian sausage, their beer braised chicken, ham and others was pretty disappointing for a Saturday night. Waitress taking the order told us it’d take 45 min for the pickup — which on the island that’s OK so we planned accordingly. We showed up 50 min after placing the order only to have the waitress say that it’d be another 30 minutes. They offered us a draft while we waited which was a local Saison. Beer was OK but they definitely have sub-par draft lines as the beer came out warm. Inside of the joint matched as well as I was building a sweat sitting at the bar. Food came out 1:25hr after the original call with no comp or discount of any kind on the order. Only thing keeping this from 1 star is the food which was fairly good(not as good as it has been before) but it’ll be a while before we go back, assuming we ever do. Encourage them to focus on their service if they want recurring visitors to recommend them to other groups at the resorts.

My husband and I go to pie whole every time we visit St.Thomas. The food is consistently great and the staff is very friendly. My husband was a big fan of the beer from the brewery upstairs. The caprese salad was a great starter and the pizza was incredible! We will definitely be coming back!

Best Italian on the Island! Great beer selection. Only complaint is that the space is small and often full and cramped.

Probably my favorite spot for pizza on the island! Go hungry and you won’t be disappointed! The brick oven pizza is thin and done well! You can sit inside or outside and I’ve only had great service there! Make sure to make a reservation during season bc this place has a reputation for being great! Enjoy! Mangia!

Such an amazing place to eat! The artichoke dip is a meal in and of itself, and is wildly delicious. The pizza is amazing. One of the only places on the island where I could find an array of good beers to chose from. The interior is dark and small. The cook is known to wear Pizza socks from time to time, so be on the lookout. 8)

So sad… this has been a favorite of ours for years. The staff has always made this place but on our last visit the entire staff had changed and NOT for the better:(the waitress/hostess obviously has a relationship with the manager because that is the only way she could keep that job. She acts as though she is disgusted to be working in a restaurant so beneath her! The manager is no prize either. Sad this will no longer be on our list of have to dos. 4 months later-Ok gave it another try tonight and had almost the same terrible experience. Not very crowded and three servers still succeeded in ignoring us. My husband was almost finished with his dinner before mine came out(and yes I insisted he eat while his was hot). The manager was more interested in clearing tables and refilling salt so he could get out early than to even look at a customer. They have taken the best little place on the island and screwed it up. SAD :(

What I like about pie whole is that they are consistent. The food is always good and the service is as well. We always make reservations as the 25 seats including the bar, fill up fast and you’ll end up not eating. Pizza is cooked in a hot wood burning oven which is located in the dining room so dress light. It is warm in here no matter how long they run the AC. They have nightly specials which are always fun to try. The ingredients are always fresh and if you like thin crust pizza then you will really like it here. Frenchtown is a great place to spend the evening hopping from place to place. You may stroll down the street for dessert and drinks or just park here for the evening. Either way you have to give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

On our recent trip to the islands, we made a point to get a reservation for the Pie Whole, as we missed out on dining here before, due to a lack of space. It’s a small place. And it smells like heaven. The aroma of pizza crust and garlic make your mouth water when you walk in. On recommendations from Unilocal!our table ordered the spinach artichoke dip. The awesome thing about this is, it’s on a pizza crust so you don’t have the issue of dip-to-bread ratio that happens when you just have toast points to spread the dip on. It’s perfect, and cheesy and delicious. I had the«Chip» pasta which is a great combination of flavors and textures. Get it. It’s great! Several in our group ordered pizza and loved every bit of it. The beer selection is probably unmatched on St. Thomas. If someone has a better beer list on this island, I want to know where it is! Go to the Pie Whole. You will not regret it!

Pie Whole is one of my favorite places in St Thomas, all beer lovers must come here! I vacation in St thomas every year, and make sure to fit in a night at Pie Whole each year. The place is tiny, only about 5 tables and a small bar, so call ahead because they get booked up fast. The brick oven pizzas are really good. I always get the wheat crust! Spinach, artichoke, pesto sauce on pizza?! Yes! Delicious. They are hand tossed and sit in the brick oven to cook, so your pizza takes a half hour sometimes to cook, but be patient it’s worth the wait. Also, try the artichoke dip appetizer! It’s sooo good! Creamy dip spread on thick fluffy dough, with huge artichoke chunks. It’s almost better than the pizza! The extravagant beer menu is the reason I love this place. No where else in St thomas can you get a Westmalle Tripel, a Rochford 6 or 8, a Schneider Weisse, dark stouts, or sour ales. Pie Whole has it all for the beer lovers. And, they serve each beer in its proper corresponding glass, the way it should be! Very nice work! They are super friendly, great service, awesome people. Can’t wait til next year when I’ll be back!

how to find it: if you are like me using Verizon smart phones, beaware. Your phone will not load maps or refresh Unilocal fast enough at STT. Plan your trip ahead from hotel and know the general area before heading out. 1. its in French town. Do the googling before heading out. 2. if you get lost, looks for McDonald near the pier. 3. like all other reviewers say, its tiny and crowded. We were there around 1 pm with one cruise liner docked and place was full. 4. if you are belgian beer fan, you must make the homage. also has USVI micro brew in pint bottle. 5. lunch special(personal size pizza or pasta with salad for $ 14) was good deal compare to other places in STT. our waitress was super friendly and got the job done. two other guys cranked out the food and we were very satisfied.
