Beware! Food poisoning. My parents just visited for dinner on 6÷8÷16. My mom had the shrimp and scallops in a cream sauce with Fettucine. She got food poisoning and was up all night throwing up and almost went to the emergency room. They called the restaurant the next day and spoke with the owner to let him know of the situation. The owner refused to take any blame or apologize. Pass on this restaurant! Not worth the risk while on vacation!

We’ve been coming here since 2002. They have been consistently great, tonight was no different. The food is amazing and the table side Caesar Salad is always a favorite. Great service, great food, and great times. We will be back again.

On my way down to St Thomas, two people mentioned this place to me. I was a bit hesitant as I was traveling alone, and was warned about going out alone at night. This place is in the heart of the down town area, but by taxi was a quick 10 min ride from the Marriott. Cute place, quaint, small yet had a family feel to it. The menu has so many options you don’t even know where to start. I had the pasta with veggies and it was so flavorful and rich. The portion was large enough where you are going to be full, but not overly stuffed. The tiramisu is amazing,(and huge!) Great wine list and service is pretty darn great… oh and the bread they serve… OMG Yum! Highly recommend this place…

Rarely do we rate the full five stars: and here is why– lovely atmosphere and white tablecloth service w gracious waitstaff. Leo was so thoughtful in his food timing, table side help w just the right amount of attention. Food ordered included pizza margherita and Cesar salad, lamb shank, veal involtini, chicken cacciatore and spaghetti marinara. We tasted all the platings which were generous, seasoned authenticity and served hot and spaced well. We had a 2010 Chianti Reserve, two bottles, expresso, cappuccino, limoncello but no desert, no more tummy space for our party of 4. All were happy, comfy, and I disturbed by anything that could distract– no tv or music! We loved our evening eating together. Good value for the exceptional quality dinner. It will be a joy to return.

Great food and service, but they need to address the funky«stale» interior smell.

Delicious food, albeit a bit pricey for pasta. Intimate décor, cozy and quiet. Taking off one star for the obnoxious group of 7 millennials who sat next to us and disrupted everyone’s meal and even caused a couple to change tables. Seems the manager could have said something to them, although kudos for the preemptive strike by comping our drinks due to the group’s rudeness. I would recommend and go back.

The food was delicious! Service was excellent! I felt like I was being coddled. Did I say the food was delicious? It’s preparation was exquisite! I love this place! And I’ve only had take out! I look forward to sitting down for a meal.

Libby at Marriott recommended the place to us — we went in for lunch. A little strange location and décor(nude women paintings on the wall!)…but that’s where my negative stop! We were the only one in the restaurant — got attentive service! BBQ pizza was DELISH — and pls note, we are from NYC and very picky about our pizzas! Have to try the chicken cacciatore — they have a sauce — Gramdma’s secret sauce… I want her to giving me a cooking lesson!!! A must try — if you in CHARLOTTEAMALIE!

I really enjoyed my last visit here. You must get the Caesar Salad for two which is made table side. Feels extremely authentic the décor is eclectic lots of art pieces on the wall and the seating can be a bit tight if the restaurant is full. I definitely suggest calling ahead for reservations. Our food was great nobody complained. The tiramisu for dessert was also delicious!

While on our honeymoon, my husband and I decided to visit this amazing restaurant on the last night of our trip. I wish we had found it sooner. Many places on the island are a bit lacking for decent service, but not this place. The staff was attentive and friendly. We split the prosciutto and melone, and each got a pasta dish(penne puttemesca for me, pasta primavera with red sauce for him) and both were amazing! However, dessert was the real star of the show. We ordered the tiramisu which was the absolute BEST I have ever had. The cake was light and fluffy, and the chocolate and coffee flavors were spot on. Since we had a Marriott Vacation Club card, we even got two mini cappuccinos for free. They were delightful and had a little bit of spice to them. We saw them prepare the banas foster’s next to it, and that also looked good. I highly recommend this gem!

This place came highly recommended by several people. While the atmosphere is interesting, the food is just so-so and very overpriced. The bread was stale, and to me $ 30 – 40 is too much to pay for mediocre pasta. I also hate it when people give you bottled water without you asking for it and then charge you for it($ 8 each). My mom ordered a chicken dish with vegetables. She told the server she was excited there were artichokes in the dish. He said they were excellent. The dish arrived without a single artichoke present. We asked the waiter about it and he said they were out of artichokes. He probably could have mentioned that prior to us ordering, especially when we specifically commented on the presence of artichokes. Go elsewhere.

This place has it all… ambiance, variety of excellent food, magnificent wine selection and courteous staff! Lobster ravioli, lobster bisque like none I’ve had before, capellini with smoked salmon, and crème brûlée for the final mouth-watering selection all made this meal simply amazing! There isn’t anything that I can think of that was negative about this entire experience. When in St. Thomas, you must give this restaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed unless you neglect to make a reservation.

Food is always excellent. Each entrée is prepared to order. You can’t be in a rush & the wait is well worth it. One of our favorites is the Peasant Spaghetti. You can always get a half an order if you can’t decide. Great service & wonderful atmosphere for conversation. NOTE: Same location. Charlotte Amalie USPS gave it a new address.

The only reason I can think of as to why the their have been no reviews since 2013 is that diners want to keep the place to themselves! The food was excellent from start to finish. We arrived on a rainy night. The outside keeps the inside secret. Once inside I knew we had a find. Besides the large mirror in the center of the room the walls are decked our in paintings and murals of women. Purport ably the mistress of the owner! While interesting to view the food tops all, the pasta is some of the best I have eaten. Indeed my wife had a side for desert! While I loved the simple but delightful pasta that accompanied my veal shank I enjoyed the tiramisu. It was a perfect ending. We will return soon.

Tired of the Marriott’s food and exhausting our limits for bar food, my bf and I wanted to grab a quick dinner before going night kayaking. The bell hop at our hotel gave us a few suggestions and we went with virgilios honestly because they were open for early dinner. At first I could see my Bfs doubts about this place when the taxi dropped us off because it was literally in an alleyway with no indication that the restaurant was open. Our opinions changed as soon as we opened the doors and we were welcomed with stained glass décor and many interesting paintings. We were the only customers at the time so we really got the personal full service. The staff was Friendly And helpful in providing suggestions. The complimentary garlic bread was so yummy! Fresh garlic btw, not the garlic spread you’d find at your local Olive Garden. We shared the meat lasagna and the seafood soup and they really hit the spot in our bellies. Who would have thought that we would find one of the best Italian restaurants we have been to in the Virgin Islands? We gotta go to Italy to compare now. The only downside to the place is the bathroom is run down…

When we first arrived, I was a bit worried. There was only one other party there. Those fears were quickly admonished as soon as I looked over the menu. It was full of traditional italian dishes. First off, the wine list was rather complete and very affordable. We had a bottle of chianti for about $ 50. For dinner, I had the veal and my girlfriend ordered the meat lasagna. Both where PHENOMINAL. If I ever make it back to STT, this will be my first stop.

The food is the best on the island. I had the pollo scarapiello and it was fantastic. The lentil soup was equally delicious. Several people recommended this place at various times during our vacation in St Thomas and we finally went on our last night. My only regret was that we hadn’t gone earlier in our stay so that we had time to go back and eat there again! Def recommended.
