Fabulous spot! Outside with a gorgeous view! Everyone there was so friendly and fun. The service was great and the food delicious! Best dinner on our vacation!

This place is a but overpriced for what they offer in my opinion. The hostess was incredibly forgetful and didn’t bring it our check until 30 mins after we finished our food, she ended up walking by us 5 times and even took our dishes away. The service is incredibly painful, the food is not the amazing cuisine I was hoping(and paid) for. We ordered a medium curry lobster(was OK, not great) and the crab legs(was ok), a seafood bisque(best part of the meal) and 2 drinks for a whooping total of $ 160.

Really nice seafood restaurant puts you literally right next to the water — it is probably the best tasting lobster and shrimp I have ever had! Something about the seafood here just doesn’t match our TX shrimp. A+ and of course the staff was very pleasant and welcoming :)

Food was great! Waitress was even better! Tuna tartare was incredibly good. I had red snapper dijonaise and it came out extremely hot as was all of the other meals. Would definitely recommend and would return!

I give this restaurant one star solely based on the view. Beautiful Scenery. My family and I were visiting the island and one of the local cab drivers recommended this restaurant. The service however, was lack luster. The food was extremely over priced in exchange for small portions and and very basic food. Save your money and seek better food options as well as service ELSEWHERE.

I visited Mims for the second time a couple weeks ago and I called the restaurant to reserve a nice table for 6 for wedding reception. Sure enough when we arrived, they knew we were the wedding party and assisted us with a table with decors and all. The view was amazing as the first time I’ve went. Second time there was nicer because we sat outside and the weather was beautiful. Still can’t stay the food is amazing because it’s really not that great and pricey. However, I didn’t hate the food nor any of the wedding parties complained. I really appreciate their attentiveness exchanging emails about reserving a spot and the staffs were excellent.

Service was great and scenery is amazing. Right next to the water. Food was good but honestly a bit overpriced. I would recommend the curry lobster.

As you will see, the lobster coconut curry was great. Our friends got the stuffed lobster which they couldn’t stop talking about. Seafood bisque was delicious … Great location and even better service

We had a wonderful dinner. Was recommended by a women I met in flight. The specialty Coconut Curry Lobster was spectacular. We split a medium lobster which wasrecommendation by our waitress Vernita. The key lime pie was also excellent. They have an all you can eat shrimp special on Thursday which we missed. They went out of there way to accommodate the woman at the next table who had dietary restrictions. When we paid they also asked if we needed a cab and then got one for us. If I am ever back in St Thomas I will definitely be back.

The best meal we had on our trip. I had the shrimp and crab over a bed of rice. Our table overlooked the ocean. Romantic and inviting atmosphere. We headed to iggies after for drinks. Great night.

This is place is truly amazing. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area that are both right on the ocean. We went and had dinner outside and watched the sun set, which was beautiful. The waitress was probably the nicest lady I have ever met and she made us feel very at home. We ordered the conch fritters and coconut curry lobster which were both to die for. The coconut curry lobster was so unique, filling and absolutely delicious. We finished off the meal with key lime pie. I am a fan of key lime pie, and get it quite often. This key lime pie blew all the others out of the water. It was one of the the best things I’ve ever eaten. Keep it up Mim’s.

The fish was so fresh! Cozy spot practically in the ocean! The only thing was — we were looking forward to this meal and(maybe because the restaurant is so popular) we really felt that we were rushed through the meal, so that perhaps the table could be ready for the next party? Besides that, we very much enjoyed dining at Mim’s.

Mim’s is THE place to go! My friend and I were visiting from New York and arrived at Mim’s to visit our good friend, Jimmi, the bartender. We weren’t going to eat and then the best seafood on the island manifests in front of your very own eyes haha We stared off with the tuna tartare, quite the amuse bouche! Super fresh, delicious and very promising ha! The piece of resistance was of course the lobsters!!! We had one of each, a stuffed one and a coconut curry one. My favorite was the curry one, my friend and I literally had a food orgasm as we were eating the crustaceans. The layers of deliciousness are endless, the textures and the flavors are so good you would sell your soul for another bite. Maybe not sell your soul, but you may want to lick and suck that lobster shell dry. Really freaking amazing. Best lobster in town. We met Jerry, the magician behind this food fest and he told us his secret ingredient was the love. I can believe that. Thank you Jerry for the lobster! Thank you Jimmi for the drinks and the company. Thank you Mim for your awesomeness and the love. :)

Quaint little place with good seafood and an A+ staff, we had a party of 14 and they did a commendable job(little slow to get our first round of drinks, but after that good to go!). Any seafood dish here should satisfy, and you can even bring your own catch and they will prepare for you(friends of ours brought rainbow trout and they did a dynamite job on the dish).

Our meal was EXCELLENT. I wish we would’ve gotten our waitress’ name because the service was outstanding as well. I was instructed to try the spiny lobster here by a local and was not disappointed. We had coconut shrimp(big & delish) and crab dip to start. Then came the lobster and curry sauce and surf and turf. To. Die. For. This was not our cheapest meal but it was by far our BEST meal on the island so far & in a beautiful outdoor setting!

In the top 10 meals of my life!!! Amazing food, atmosphere and service!!! The best part of our trip thus far. The curry coconut lobster is unbelievable– I’ve had east coast lobster and lobster from Belize and this is stop you in your tracks good. Great service-asked us what we did that day and had suggestions for the next day and was so kind. This place is a hidden gem and needs to be part of your St. Thomas trip! And I haven’t even mentioned the drinks-I will leave that surprise(let’s just say there is a Banana White Russian!!!) enjoy!!! We sure did

Mim’s sits in a scenic, outdoor location right on the beach/ocean. The wait staff is wonderfully attentive and full of island humor. The menu isn’t loaded with choices or very creative, yet the food is good and portions generous. Other than Conch fritters there’s not much that’s anything Caribbean/local. This is true of every restaurant we tried on this island over a two week stay. The Conch fritters are nicely done and if you’re at Mim’s give them a try. We did and liked them. Conch fritters are the best way to eat this sea snail because it’s groud up the Conch and added to the batter. Conch prepared any other way is a tough, mostly unyielding thing that doesn’t cooperate with virtually any method of rendering it tender – including pounding it brutally, backing over it with a truck or, perhaps, even dynamite. Fritters are your best bet for trying it and the fritters at Mim’s are very, very good. My wife had the lobster. She loves lobster and said Mim’s is quite good. Fine. I like lobster and, for me, it’s not a love affair as it is for my wife. I tasted it, thought it was good and lobster is still not my first choice entrée anywhere. I ordered Mim’s shrimp creole and it was tasty and enjoyable. Some places make creole very spicy. Mim’s strikes the proper balance of hot-spicy and other ingredients. It was as good or better than what I’ve had several places in New Orleans. Mim’s doesn’t skimp on the size of their entrée servings, so go hungry and be prepared to fill up. We did not have desert and cannot comment on that. Given the quality and taste of other menu items we did order, I’d try a desert if in the mood. All in all, I recommend Mim’s for an evening out. The staff is great, the food nicely done, and it’s a location you’ll enjoy. The menu here offers choices that are not the same old things you can get in the states and that alone makes Mim’s stand out. I’d eat at Mim’s again any time. A WORDOFWARNING: Mim’s is located in, down and below a hotel/residential complex. Parking for Mim’s is marked with very small signs that are difficult to see or read after dark(signage is not great anywhere on the island). The hotel/residents are really nasty* about protecting their mostly empty spaces and THEYWILLTOWYOURCARIMMEDIATELY if you get it wrong and accidentally park in a space other than the ones for Mim’s. Good luck and may the force be with you on this one. *There is an undercurrent of anger among the people who live in this laid-back place. I never did figure out why during our stay. It’s not the restaurant folks, hotel workers or other people who depend on tourism for their livelihood, it’s the residents and ethnicity has nothing do to do with it. Something has them uptight and annoyed. One place it shows up is if you park in a space not assigned to Mim’s.

This restaurant came highly recommended by our hotel concierge. Really quite a disappointment! Perhaps if we had gotten the coconut curry lobster, things would have been different. But I was leery of the pricing variation as others have mentioned in reviews. The salads were subpar and certainly not worth the money. We had fried shrimp, calamari, mahi mahi, salmon, fried scallops and Fra Diablo(shrimp, scallops, lobster) at our table… all comparable to something you would find at Red Lobster. We were told Mims has the best seafood on the island. I certainly hope this is not true… and we know it isn’t based on our experiences at other restaurants over the past six years. Our waitress was pleasant and the view was decent… the only saving grace. We will not be back.

Came here with the family while on vacation. If you’re a seafood lover this is the spot to go! Everything they had my family loved. I am not the biggest seafood guy so I got the chicken parm and it was spectacular! If you would like to check out a relaxing dinner on the beach you have to come here. Then stop over at Iggies for live music and drinks.

Horrible!!! Based on other reviews from other sites I was expecting a really good meal. I could not have been more wrong! We arrived an immediately saw two gentleman spraying bug spray just outside the entrance. We realized why as we sat. We ordered apps and were underwhelmed. The calamari was just plain boring. The crab fitters were pretty good. We ordered our mains — the grouper with dijonaisse sauce was highly recommended– it came out as an over sauced, gloppy mess. We also had scampi which was tasty but left us disgusted as we saw the bowl of butter left behind. Yuck. Everything was served on ugly Correlle style cheap plastic plates. Skip this place!!!
