Good food very nice. Good Service. The inside of the restaurant doesn’t look too appealing as it is more of early 90s style but the food was very nice.

This restaurant is a must! It is one of the best restaurants in Ireland. I had the kerry lamb and the meat was very tender and the sauce was just top! The side dishes were perfect, the portions are just the perfect size. If you are in killarney you HAVE to eat here! Oh and one more thing, the service is great and fast! The staff are really friendly! :-)

My travel group choose this place to eat. I had the veg. Lasagna with vegetables and salad. Salad was ok minus the potato salad on it. Vegetables and lasagna were really hot making me think they were microwaved. The menu says homemade. Not a lot of veggie in the lasagna. Payed 16.95 not overpriced for Ireland but I would not go Back. The place was busy for Wednesday maybe I just ordered the wrong thing for a vegetarian.

The wifey and I came upon this place while walking through downtown Killarney. Originally I was skeptical when I walked into the restaurant but not was I wrong. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. I wanted the Irish stew but it wasn’t ready yet(we came in quite early) so I asked the waitress what she would recommend and she said the lasagna so I decided to get it. This may have been the best decision I’ve ever made(besides going to Ireland in the first place). It came with garlic toast and a delicious salad with cauliflower purée and coleslaw and of course chips and mash potatoes which were also delicious. Food came quick as well as the bill, which is sometimes hard to get in Ireland. All in all great place!

We traveled all around Ireland for several weeks and this was the best Full Irish Breakfast™ that we had. Sausages, bacon, eggs, hash brown, black and white puddings and, most important of all, beans, Everything was done exceptionally well. Definitely stop here if you get a chance!

For a touristy part of town I was pleased to find a restaurant with a vegetarian section on their menu. Although a quite short selection of veg entrees, I tried the vegetables with curry dish, price was around 11 euros, and it was delicious and came with an assortment of veggies in a yellow coconut curry sauce. This entrée came with a side of fries too. My dining partner had some good tasting salmon from his opinion. We got there around 6pm for dinner and the place was packed by 7.

Si vous accordé pas trop d’importance au décor, c’est le restaurant qu’il vous faut. Service rapide et attentionné, plats copieux et bons. Salle remplie de personnes du coin Et plats typiques . A retenir .

Gutes Essen zu angemessenen Preisen. Sowohl Fisch als auch Fleisch waren frisch. Große Auswahl auch an vegetarischen Gerichten! Gerne wieder!

Had the Shepards pie and the meat had good flavor, but grisly. The salad was delicious-fresh, crisp and came with potato salad and cole slaw. There was no dressing which was interesting but very good. The lasagne was filling but a little on the bland side. Good service and definitely a great value for what you get. The ambiance of the space is a little off though, it seems like it’s going for high end with the décor but the way it’s laid out is very contradictory.

I dunno– maybe I just don’t «get it,» but this spot was fully lackluster. Food was priced reasonably, this is very true, but as for personal preference of taste– not my favorite. Everyone’s dishes were just«okay» with the exception of the Shepherds Pie– this was very good. However, unfriendly service and just an «eh» meal made us feel like we missed an opportunity elsewhere. Could have been an off night– in a forum of 4 stars, I’m sure my 2 is the exception and not the rule

The service we quite pleasant. The shepards pie was good, and the traditional Irish stew tasted a bit like Italian wedding soup(in the US), but still very good.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Alle Speisen waren frisch zubereitet, heiß und fein gewürzt. Mit Getränk konnten wir uns für weniger als 20 € satt essen. Das Ambiente ist schlicht aber sehr sauber.

Our party of 7 showed up at closing time and all of the girls that worked there couldn’t have been more accommodating! They all worked together as a team and served us hot dinners in no time at all. The food was great and we tipped them profusely for their kindness. We got in to Killarney very late and hadn’t had dinner yet, — so we found this restaurant close to our hotel. Thanks Caragh for taking care of us!

We were here a couple of years ago and enjoyed the food and quiet atmosphere. We were in Killarney for an afternoon and decided to try this place again for a few reasons. 1. The prices are great, not overly inflated tourist prices. 2. We had our daughter and the place is family friendly. 3. Quiet and friendly atmosphere. I had the veggie lasagna which was tasty, hot and plentiful. My husband had a vegetable curry which was delicious. They have a children’s menu and my daughter opted for chicken tenders. Real chicken and very tasty. Food is hot and plentiful. We wanted to try the sticky toffee pudding, but we’re too full. € 36 for some starters and 3 mains in the middle of tourist season in Killarney is almost unheard of. Of course we will visit again. Maybe try the price fixe. € 19.95 for starter, main, and dessert. If you want a hot, tasty meal for good value, I suggest this restaurant and save your money for souvenirs or trip to Muckross House.

Couldn’t find a sign with the time and finally figured out that It closes at 7pm! The third time we tried to come, we got in, and thoroughly enjoyed the shepards pie. My husband also liked the sticky toffee dessert, and I ate my own hot apple pie with ice cream. We shared our main meal, and with water, came out for less than 20euro. Weird to hear the guns-n-roses over the radio, but enjoyed the food immensely! Would return again.

Delicious Irish breakfast and wonderfully attentive staff. Breakfast is served all day. In a lovely area of town with a huge storefront window that’s great for people watching!

I had a decent veggie lasagna at Caragh, but overall the whole place felt like a typical tourist restaurant without much charm. They also have a weird insistence on ordering two full sides with each main, even if you only want one. It’s silly, and yet the waitress held up the entire order until a reluctant member of our party agreed to a second side dish. It’s almost stupid to even mention it, but it was strange enough that it stuck with me.

The fish pie is carbs galore. There are three scoops of potatoes on top and it comes with a side of another three scoops of potatoes. Along with the fish at the bottom of the dish, there are also mussels and clams. The seafood in it tasted fresh and overall the dish was flavorful. But because it was such a gargantuan portion, I felt like I was Adam Richman on Man vs. Food after the first half. Needless to say, I couldn’t finish it all. Try the Bailey’s cheesecake! I’m not sure if they make it in house but whoever made it definitely put a generous helping of Irish cream in there! No complaints there!

As others have said, this was a nice family restaurant that served traditional comfort food. I had the fish pie and it was great(think a seafood chowder with mashed potatoes on top). My wife had pie which was also good but it was not lamb. The portions were huge, the prices were reasonable, and they have Guinness on tap.

I really love this place. It is family owned, it is cozy, it won’t break the bank, and the food is good, comfort food… Irish style. In September, I ordered the Kerry Corned Beef with cabbage and it was the BEST corned beef I have ever had!!! It was tender and the flavor was really lovely. Of course the veg and the mashed potatoes are always a great addition to whatever main you choose. This past visit, I had the Seafood Chowder to start with and the stuffed Pork Loin. Now, I’m a bit picky with seafood… meaning that I like fish, scallops, and shrimp, but that’s about it, however for some reason the Seafood Chowder was really calling my name. I think it is because I have been craving Clam Chowder(yes, I eat around the clams) and that isn’t normally on menus here in Europe. Without asking the waitress exactly what was in it, I ordered it. The brown bread was quite bitter, but the Seafood Chowder was… AMAZING! There was salmon, an unidentifiable white fish, smoked fish, tiny shrimp, mussels, and maybe cockles… I did eat the mussels and they were cooked just right. I seriously thought about just ordering another bowl of the chowder and calling it a night. The stuffed pork was nice, but nothing special… in fact it didn’t really stand a chance after that amazing Seafood Chowder. Love the place, you should stop in… have the Seafood Chowder with a roll, if they have the Kerry Corned Beef and Cabbage on the menu, have that as well. You’ll be glad you did!

The staff at this establishment were reviewed as being friendly. I need to ask to WHOM are the friendly? I may have come in on a bad day, but they were neither cheerful or friendly to customers or one another. The food was priced well for the value. I had the Irish stew but I can honestly say, I have had better. As it is one of the only places in Killarney that serves all day and the menu is of decent size I may have given it another try. Maybe. Oh and don’t order bottled water! It is 3 Euro and they will give you a huge bottle if you just ask for water.

I had one night in Killarney and I needed to make it count. I took a chance on Caragh and it paid off big time. First of all, it’s cheaper than most of the restaurants in town and the portions are enormous. I ordered the recommended Fish Pie and my boyfriend ordered the Shepherd’s Pie. Both were a resounding success. Both dishes came with a choice of side salad or vegetables and a choice of boiled potatoes or fries. The Fish Pie was delicious, with several types of white fish, mussells, etc, mixed with a creamy sauce and topped with whipped potatoes. It came out hot and was a great deal at 12.95 euro. My boyfriend loved the Shepherd’s Pie which was 11.95 euro. The waitressess are all very friendly and the vibe of the restaurant is casual. Please note, however, they don’t take credit cards! If you also have one night in Killarney, give Caragh a shot!
