Kilkenny Tourist Hostel

This is what I’d call your average middle of the road independent hostel. Reception was adequate — but not particularly friendly. Kitchen is well-​equipped, but no breakfast.
Place was kept fairly clean — not disgusting, but not great either. Our private room had a window pane out of place which made for a chilly night. I also requested a private room with a double bed, and was disappointed to be placed in a room with a bunkbed and two twin beds.
Major downer was we were there the day before the hurling championship (who knew) which meant PARTAY time. Many of the hostels guests did not quiet down until 4 in the morning, and they were very rowdy. Hostel owners did nothing to quiet them down — it must have kept the whole place up! I am ok with a 1 or 2 am bedtime on a Saturday — but 4 am?
All in all, ok for a cheap, safe sleep, but if you have the bucks go elsewhere.

Also da muss ich meinem Vorschreiber eindeutig wiedersprechen, denn ich fand dieses Hostel sehr charmant. Im Gegensatz zu diesen 200-​Betten-​Massen-​Hostels wenigstens noch persönlicher Kontakt mit dem Personal.
Etwas alternativer eingerichtet mit einem gemütlichen Gemeinschaftsraum mit Kamin war es sicher eines der besten Hostels in Irland. Soweit ich mich erinnern kann war auch alles in gutem Zustand und nicht ungepflegt.

Sehr altes Hostel in Zentraler Lage Kilkennys, Das Gebäude ist schon sehr alt und die betten und waschräume sind nicht wirklich geflegt.
das einzige was das beste war war der Preis 11,50 die übernachtung !!
