My favorite place I visited in Dublin. I went around breakfast time and ordered The Fumbally eggs. De-lish!!! I’ve never thought to do bruschetta on a breakfast sandwich but it is genius. The atmosphere is so calming and relaxing. I wasted to stay here all day. If I lived in Dublin, I would definitely spend a lot of time here. If you get a chance, give The Fumbally a visit. You will not be disappointed!

How cool is this place!!! First of all I love the big, spacious, random furniture everywhere type of feel! I found a nice leather sofa and plonked meself there till the food arrived. The menu, while small, all sounded so good it took me a minute to decide. I went for the fumbally scrambled eggs with tomatoe, garlic, cheese and some thyme. Was seasoned so good and all came on top of a brioche bun. All the ingredients where so fresh and tasty. Love how they use organic and fresh produce and you can see them making the food in the tiny kitchen beside the till. I had some weird drink that was black tea with some type of exotic fruit I can’t pronounce or remember. But it tasted like home made cider I didn’t like it. The fresh juices will be my choice next time. Also can’t wait to try there porridge with coconut and berries. Lunch menu starts after 12pm, again a small selection but all sound yum! And I noticed on the door that they’re starting dinner from January 13th! 7.30pm-9pm. Can’t wait to see what they will come up with I will be back! Staff are friendly too! A+++ 5 stars Bravo!!!

I’m very very disappointment with this place. I heard many positive opinions so I decided to try it out. Not only the place itself look like a hangar or storage, the staff is very rude. I set down and my friend went to order. I’ve been told that I cannot sit before I order. I wouldn’t mind to wait for the sit but I mind the servant tone. Rude. I can stand bad food but not a bad staff.

Delicious Dr. Seuss. Got mine with tomatoes. The apple turnover was divine and the coffee scrumptious. Seating on a Saturday was an ordeal, but the food made up for the wait!

So I feel this place gets somewhat of a bad rep from it’s hipster attributes. Forget the myriad of fixies mounted on the gate outside — this place is popular because it hits the nail on the head. The space is like a cool Berlin or Melbourne loft. The food is fresh, inventive, and absolutely delicious. They run a great series of events and the odd dinner of a Wednesday. I could recommend dishes but it would be pretty much the menu. Come here for brunch, on a date, with your girls, heck with your dog(they’re cool with that). Just come in. Only issue for me is they are closed on Sunday — which is optimum brunch day… I will forgive them that.

I love the healthy ethos of this café, as shown by their fresh produce corner and organic/free-range promises on the menu. The Don Quixote quote on the wall, a huge ‘All sorrows are less with bread’, is poignant, provoking customers to think how lucky one is… My coffee and egg dish came to € 9.50 which wasn’t too bad. I had an Americano, which is apparently coffee from 3fe which I’ve already been to, was good and strong as expected. I also got the Fumbally eggs with avocado added. EVERY part of this dish was scrumptious: the tomatoes tasted so fresh, eggs had a lovely garlic touch which tickled my garlic-loving tastebuds, the Grubeen cheese in the eggs made it that much more delicious and savoury, and the brioche bread complemented it well. A whole avocado on top with pepper confirmed my choice as a golden one that I am sure I will repeat. I am definitely going to return here, the staff are very friendly and efficient.

Some of the best salad and soup I’ve had. Some of the other food is a bit oily and not to my taste. The breakfast options are quite limited but authentic.

Good organic coffee. A bit pricey but the food is really nice and the special are always very interesting mix of flavours. If you are looking for an healthy lunch and a really fancy place is really to try! Free WiFi and very good selection for vegetarian.

I have been wanting to come here for so long, and what can I say, except that it was worth the wait! This place is known as a hipster haven, so in case you think that doesn’t appeal to you, can I add«in the best sense of the word.» Charming décor, shared tables(whatever happened to a sense of community, amiright?), fresh food, friendly service and a great assortment of options for every palate, including for those with intolerances, allergies, a matter of personal conscience or what not. What’s not to love? I opted for a chai latte, this was the good stuff, spiced to perfection and overall«just right». For food, I went with the toast with scrambled eggs, mixed with cheese and garlic, but just subtle enough not to be overbearing. My friend opted for a salad meal with an addition of falafel balls. The falafels were a highlight, rivalling even the middle Eastern restaurants about town. The accompanying hummus did not disappoint either, it was top notch stuff. We topped it off with a slice of gluten free chocolate cake which was also quite heavenly. This place doesn’t need much more than to tell you how good the food is. Let it be known though that the ambience doesn’t disappoint. This place is worth all the hype and then some.

Myself and himself just bought a house around the corner from here. I’d be lying if I didn’t say the proximity to the fumbally didn’t have something to do with that. I wonder would they just let us move in? The food is top notch. I wish there was some better way for managing the queue at busy periods but other than that no complaints. All the stars.

My favourite place for breakfast in Dublin. Their scramble eggs are the best and it is so decently cheap! I love it. Nice quirky layout to even chill. Place even offer wifi. Hard to find a negative remark about it.

The Fumbally just never disappoints, the perfect little burrow to hide from the rain and enjoy consistently brilliant and inventive creations. My return dishes are the falafel, any soup or salad plate, the pulled pork bap and their flapjacks are the best I’ve ever had! The food is always so fresh and in season. The atmosphere can be quite hipsterish but not at all pretentious or unwelcoming in my opinion. Easily one of my favourite places to eat in Dublin!

So pretty sure I had coffee at Hipster Central. Visited The Fumbally located on Fumbally Lane(funnily enough) Dublin 8. You can check their food menu online but was only really interested in a quick coffee and pastry. Really good choice, their rasbperry cheesecake looked so good! I found it hard to choose but ended up choosing a pear popover(Another US import) and fiancé chose a really healthy flapjack… They give you a wooden block with a letter on it(like a toy you had as a child? and deliver your coffee to the table when it’s ready. Yes that is a lost balloon in one of the photos :( You can also buy coffee here. Today wechose 3FE Ethiopia Kebel Kercha Guji. High ceilings, a complete mismatch of seats and the plates wouldn’t look out of place in my nanna’s cupboard. The cups on the otherhand are a total modern grey and tie in far better with the building. So yes it is full of hipsters but families were there too. They’ve a great contrast of old and new and that makes me think we’ll be making the trip back there again. If for nothing else than to pick up more coffee beans to bring home!

«Prepare yourself» said Adrian, «you are about to enter the land of the Hipster«. It sounded like Adrian was writing cheques no experience could cash but nope, he was spot on. For any ex-trinity students from the 90s out there this place is a must, it is the old JCR(Junior Common Room) on steroids. It is packed with people with interesting facial hair(mostly guys), doing interesting things with iMacs and sketch books and talking about vegetarian things. It is, without question, Hipster HQ We just had a coffee… well, when I say just — it was a bloody good coffee and strong. I didn’t realise just how strong till we left wobbling like we had just had a large scotch… I say wobbling but we were doing do really fast, like only men who had just had a massive caffeine shot would do. Adrian tells me the food is excellent and that it is a brilliant place for a family Sunday morning brunch. I shall be putting that to the test as soon as humanly possible.

I will not lie, I loved this place. I felt like if I was transported in one of those places I love in Berlin during my whole lunch and that was great. I love the ambiance of the place and for once, a café I like in Dublin is not tiny, even tho it was pretty crowded we found some place. The food we had was good, mine was delicious, and the all irish my boyfriend had was pretty good too, even if it was actually pretty small and he was still hungry after eating it, which I totally understand because yes, it was tiny. So here is the reason why I removed one star, I don’t mind paying a little bit more to be in a nice place I like, but at least, I’d like to have my belly full while leaving the place. What I’m trying to say is that in my opinion, this place is a bit too expensive for what it serves. The food is really good and definitely fresh, but three more carrots wouldn’t have been bad for the price we payed.

Fabally would be a better name I went to get some whole bean coffeee as I happened to be in the area. We decided to have a coffee along with the best flapjack I ever had and a popover that was not shared so I can only surmise that it was too good to share which given the lack of conversation during said consumption would back up this hypothesis. The coffee was brewed perfectly and the temp just right to enjoy the taste and aroma. Bright space and comfy chairs. No complaints and at 10am this place was getting busy.

I am seriously addicted to #avocado — the #fumbally café offers this amazing green eggs and bacon which is basically scrambled egg, avocado and chorizo — I love chorizo and these flavours go so well together. Never had and never imagined, a fan now! Cool place, very very hipster! But hey — that’s Dublin how you would imagine.

My second time coming to The Fumbally after hearing about it from a Japanese friend, I’m not disappointed! Came on a saturday both times and the place is jam packed with not a seat to spare, so most likely you will have to share a table. But the atmosphere is buzzing and the café itself is really bright, with wooden tables and rustic style décor. It’s got kind of a hippy feel to it. The only thing that annoyed me was trying to find a seat at all, so had to wait a while until someone left. The food is mostly healthy stuff; their salad plates are vegetarian(similar to what you would find in other vegetarian restaurants such as Cornucopia), but they also do meat like pulled pork, steak etc. The soups are really nice and the servings are pretty generous too. I like their daily salads which cost 9 euro for a plate, and you add falafel for 1.50 euro, or a soup for 2.50. I haven’t tried it, but I saw Korean kimchi and Korean stir-fry on the special boards which sound pretty interesting(and really spicy). Overall, the staff are quite friendly, the service is fast, the food is good and prices range from about 8 – 15 euro for main. A great place for brunch/lunch! My one star deduction is for being super crowded and noisy, but you can get a takeout.

What can be said that hasn’t been said before?! This place is just the dog’s b*#&#$&cks. Big, airy space, comfy seating, options to sit on your own or at communal tables, nice art on the walls, posters of community goings on, and general stuff to look at, as well as prime people watching. Then there’s the food. It’s really, really good. It’s healthy, home made, colourful and good. My favourite thing is actually the simplest — avocado on rustic toast with fresh chilli, tomato & olive oil. So tasty. Really, really tasty. They have wifi too so it’s a nice place to work from. Gold stars!
