I’ve always thought this place was too cool for school but visiting here as part of the Picture This! walking tour, I fell in love with it a little bit. Our hosts, Neil and Veronica, explained how the concept of coffee and clothing took off, and talked about their ranges and customers. I love the idea of their monthly supper club too, what a great idea. A genuinely quirky little spot in Temple Bar.

The staff are super welcoming and a bit of craic. The coffee is good. The boutique is interesting and I loved the children’s clothes that you can colour in! Most of the ‘wares’, apart from the coffee, are out of my price range but I had a longing for the photographic prints on blocks of wood and a fair bit of the jewellery. Had some good banter with the staff, and I noticed they were quick to help any patrons who looked like they could use a hand with the clothes. They’re also clearly snobby enough about coffee to do it well but not snobby enough to sneer at my silly questions, which is the right balance for me :)

Still loving the coffee, but have also bought a couple of presents here too. Would definitely recommend looking here for quirky jewelry. Where else could you find a ring with a little oragami style crane on top?! :) Also in true small boutique fashion they use Sum-up to take credit card payments through their smartphones. It pleased me to actually see Sum-up in action.

Great coffee, cool place, friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit if you like really good coffee, it’s always great to see the owner so passionate about what his does.

Great concept store in a cool area of town. Yeah, the concept may confuse some Dubliners at first as there’s nothing else similar to it in the city… is it a café? Is it a boutique? It’s both — and it works pretty well. I’m no fashion guru, but my other(more fashion-savvy) half came in and was impressed by the clothes & jewelry on display — all unique pieces I think. I do love my coffee, and I can certainly say that the lads at Tamp & Stitch do it damn well. They use coffee beans from the brilliant Hasbean(who supply other quality coffee joints such as 3fe, Bro Hubbard, Cup, Fallon & Byrne, etc) — at the moment they’re using beans from Brazil which are delicious, but I think they’ll rotate depending on what’s tasting good & what’s fresh. The set-up reminds me of proper Italian espresso bars — it’s not a place to go and lounge about in for hours, but rather it’s a real high-quality coffee experience(at a price that’s actually cheaper than other [lesser] cafés nearby) So, although there’s plenty of competition in the area, I see no reason why this place can’t be a great success — well worth stopping by to give it a go.

A very peculiar little place at the edge of Temple Bar. Clothes shop and coffee shop. I’ve only had the coffee and it was hands down the best in Dublin.
