Snax in the City is about a two-minute walk from my place of work; a teeny little deli that caters for the morning and lunch crowds that want something fast, tasty and cheap. They do a selection of sandwiches, wraps and rolls and a meal deal with one of these, a can of soft drink and a packet of crisps will cost you around € 4.50. The fillings are all quite basic — ham, turkey, coleslaw, chicken, tuna and a selection of salads but it’s all very fresh and they are super speedy at making them up. You won’t find anything other than lunch-time staples here but it’s reliable, tasty and the staff are always pleasant and very efficient, and the value for money they offer is hard to argue with! Definitely deserves a 3.5 if there was an option!

This place is dead handy for a quick cheap roll. I like it because it’s consistant. The salad, rolls & hot chicken are always decent. Great fast service, I especially like the way the girl who takes the money wraps and hands you the roll like passing a relay baton! The girl who fills the rolls is dead fast, as soon as you’ve listed your ingredients its ready to go!

I have to chuckle every time I see this place, the name is just really clever and done in the same font as earlier sex and the city promotional stuff. I don’t know if that was on purpose, but it makes it really tongue-in-cheek and fun. It’s weird though, that they gave this place such a cute name and turned it into a cheap and quick place to get a snack on the go. The food is simple — sandwiches, paninis, bagels, wraps and the like. It is also cheap — nothing is over 4 euros. The place is pretty much a takeaway spot also. So in my opinion they kind of wasted a fun name on a basic place, but they do what they do well so I can’t complain much.

Snax in the city is just a tiny little sandwich bar with a couple of seats inside and out. It’s located on Aungier St, across from Capital Bar. It’s funny, every time I pass here it’s mobbed with builders for some reason. They’re either getting their breakfast rolls in the morning or sandwiches at lunchtime. For a small place it does a good trade — it’s no frills and would literally just be sandwiches/rolls and wraps. It’s mostly targeted at people who want to grab something and go — and it does it well. The sandwiches are tasty, and they do other stuff like crisps, bars, drinks etc. Not a bad spot at all!
