Think this would probably be considered my local as would go here most out of the local boozers. Relaxed atmosphere and nice staff. All the regulars seem to be mates with each other in a «cheers» kind of way. That said, don’t think Id ever stay here for the night. Grand for a few pints.

In olden times, i.e. about 5 years ago, this was a carpeted, dark haunt for local fellas of a certain age. Today it is a bright well lit but sprawling boozer, much frequented by blokes who are looking to watch a match on the telly or in the flesh at nearby Croke Park. In the case of the latter, if you want to see how many Kilkenny people can fit into one Dublin pub then this is the place to visit in late August/​September.
