Just a hole in the wall on Nassau st, Lapis specialises in Connemara jewellery (no idea) coloured gems and pearls that would make Lovey Howell twitter with delight. The shop is, like its vintage-​jewels brethren, largely hidden behind a shop window full of goods, but how good they are!
Ropes of pearls, stones, rings in every cut and style. There’s a few surprises in the window, like brooches and hat pins tipped with precious gems, and not a price tag to be seen. As I’ve always been told, if you have to ask…
