Synopsis: Holy Doner, Batman, these € 6 kebabs are fantastic! Keyif Kebab is recently opened just off Dorset street. It’s just that little bit too far away from good pubs, so it’s not really suitable for post party provisions. But if you’re in the area, eat here. As aficionados all know, kebabs are originally from Germany, and the best kebabs in the world can be found in Berlin! There, kebabs are not served in naan breads as we Irish are accustomed to. They’re served in a quarter of a flat-bread. Keyif is the 1st place in Ireland I’ve been to which serves kebabs in proper flatbread. The kebab is better for it. Interestingly, the chef in this fine establishment is Polish, not quite a country renowned for their kebabs. Still, the chef knows what he’s doing, and he’s very friendly while he does it! That which makes Keyif so good though, that which clinches the deal, is the price. € 6 for a mixed Kebab is great value. This is best kebab shop I’ve been to in Dublin so far!

Though I have yet to decipher the Irish meaning of «kebab», I know for certain that Keyif serves a terrific meal. In Los Angeles, we’d call it a «gyro» but my partner & I each ordered the Mixed Kebab Meal. With fries(chips) and a drink came a huge sandwich for only € 8. The pocket bread was grilled and piled high with juicy chicken, savory lamb, veggie slaw, garlic and chili sauce. Tiny place but pleasant and nicely appointed. The welcoming man behind the counter took great pride in his work and made the meal fun. Sign on door states that it is Halal certified.

Went here today, had a durum kebab. I agree with the other reviewer that it reminded me of some of the best kebabs I’ve had from Germany — and for only € 3.50! Loads of nice purple cabbage, parsley etc. The owner is really friendly as well. Looking forward to trying out the other items.

Not sure how recently this opened but I just stumbled on it today. Really good Turkish kebabs like the ones you get in Germany. The flat bread is partly leavened and is way tastier than plain old pitta. The Kebab was stuffed with tasty salads as well as grilled chicken and was delicious. Top tip: Don’t sit in the window to eat yours, it’s impossible to eat without making a terrible, if tasty, mess. Not a good idea to be in full view of the passing street while trying to eat a kebab approximately twice the size of your head.
