Popped in after we saw they take card (always a pleasant surprise in Ireland!). Ordered the veggie breakfast — unfortunately they were out of veggie sausage so they substituted with two eggs and we shared. So we got two eggs, a piece of toast (with dairy gold butter), a hash brown, tomato, and beans EACH and shared a coffee and only spent € 7.80! The décor is amazing, the serve breakfast all day, and are open until 11pm! Definitely superior to Lovinspoon down the street, which is over priced and bland.

This deserves 5 stars alone for brightening up the dreary north city centre. However, La Pausa doesn’t stop there — it’s a friendly, locally owned, neighbourhood café and the only one I’ve found where the beans haven’t been burned to charcoal, hence a smooth coffee that won’t have you running for antiantacids.
Please do support this coffee shop — it offers a fantastic service and we want it to stay!
