Excellent addition to Camden St area. Have become a regular lunchtime visitor and am yet to be disappointed — food and service is always top notch. Ive tried pretty much everything on the lunch menu — the seared tuna in particular is highly recommended! Will be making time soon to call and check out the evening menu.

Went for brunch, waited for an age to be served a hash with fried eggs on top. The yolks were so hard and the whites so rubbery I asked if they had been kept under heat lamps for half an hour. No five mins he replied, we were really busy! Anyone with any understanding of food would know eggs need to be served straight away. The fact that the chef could see them sitting there shows the whole operation lacks focus. Complained, they did not offer to replace so I assumed they would be free. Bill was issued for the full amount. Avoid, terrible.

A gorgeous addition to the area. I was worried it was going to be the same as pretty much every restaurant that has opened in Dublin lately — industrial design… burgers…wings…sigh. nope! Super glam and cosy interior and a really interesting and unusual menu. Super friendly staff too. Our food was all gorgeous and the price was rilly rilly reasonable. I’ll definitely be back.

Have been for brunch and lunch and really enjoyed both! Absolutely stunning little spot, glorious stained glass windows that gets the(rare) afternoon sun, high ceilings with lots of vintage details. Very cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious menu. Everything has sort of a healthy edge to it, lots of seeds and leafy salads. Great portions, especially for the price. Nice selection of loose leaf tea served in an individual infused pot. A small menu with some daily specials, but something for everyone. Good wine selection as well. I had the pancakes for brunch and it was a massive portion. The pancakes had seeds in them so they were very hearty and a nice compliment to the maple syrup, being that it wasn’t overly sweet. Sausage was also fab. For lunch I had the sausage and caramelized onion open sandwich which was phenomenal! The onions were cooked perfectly, such a great combo with the mustard. Lots of flavor! Perfectly toasted bread, with two large sausages so it’s a huge portion I just couldn’t finish(though I tried!) the dressing on the salad was nice and fresh. Great value too, considering the portion size, all the fresh ingredients and well presented details, it’s quite a steal. Look forward to trying more from their menu very soon! They do have strange hours some days so make sure you check before stopping by!

DeSelbeys is such a great spot and has already become one of the best restaurants on Camden Street. I can here for dinner on Wednesday and it was jammed which is always a great sign. I was told by a friend that their specials menu is always worth considering so chose the cod which was phenomenal. I chose the Romanian Sauvignon which was delicious. Great food, fantastic service and a lovely setting — I’ll be back!

I really cannot say enough how amazing the risotto at this place was, let’s just get this out of the way first. It was a beautiful pistachio & something-else-that-I-can’t-remember risotto with blood orange on top. Each mouthful was really heavenly and it blurred the line between dinner and dessert, something I never knew I wanted before this. The interior is cool, with a clear clock theme going on and the staff were friendly and helpful. I can see this place becoming a firm favourite on the ever expanding brunch list. One positive is that they said their menu is partially seasonal(with their heaven risotto being part of this) so I’m looking forward to returning regularly to see what else these chef gods can cook up.

Wow what a gorgeous room, visiting from Australia and happened upon this space. From start to finish it was great. The early bird menu was great value and also had a few sneaky oysters which were delicious. Very friendly staff who loved what they were doing wish they’d open in OZ ! Well done deselbys

Came to see what the fuss was about, with the new spot in the ‘hood. So first, the ambience. Place was nice and cosy, I’ll give it that. That said, the tables are kind of placed right in front of the door, which means you can get hit by quite a nasty breeze depending where you sit, though that’s just a guess from what I saw as my friend and I were actually sat furthest away from the door, so we didn’t feel it ourselves. OK, so the food. I got a salad with goat’s cheese. It was nice, but ultimately not my favourite. That’s not to say it wasn’t good. I’d say the salad was one of those fancy salads with unlikely salad ingredients in it, so if you’re into those kind of dishes you’ll probably love this. I’m not as adventurous with my salads so I wasn’t completely taken by this dish. My friend got the oysters though and she absolutely loved them so do keep that in mind. OK, so dessert. This was the redeeming feature for me. My friend got a chocolate mousse I think and didn’t love hers, but I ordered a panacotta with berries and pistachios. It was delicious. Really, really good, great way to finish off a meal with a good taste in your mouth, literally. I think the moral of the story here is pick your dish wisely as it can be hit and miss, but not because the quality isn’t good, I think they just make unique dishes that maybe aren’t for everyone. To cap it off, the service here was good. Our waiter was really friendly and lovely. All up, this place made for a good experience. It’s always good to see more and more places pop up in Dublin with an emphasis on quality food outside of your traditional Irish dishes, and with a bit of a trendy yet(importantly) unpretentious vibe to it. And when the new place happens to be in your neighbourhood, even better!

SORRY for not reviewing this soon! I was in here few days after they opened and this place instantly impressed. Dined for lunch, they have some great sandwich options and when I asked for it to come as a salad instead of sandwich, they didn’t fuss they happily accommodated me which they get massive kudos for. The café is very intriguing, got a good wine bar feel to it whether you dine for lunch or dinner. Location is perfect on Camden Street and I look forward to coming back more often, I had the cod sandwich has a salad and it was YUMTASTIC! Super tasty and awesome value.

Had a fantastic evening in DeSelbys on Friday night. The décor and room was beautiful and comfortable. Shared the Antipasto and the chili and lemon Gambas, The Antipasto was the best I’ve eaten in a long time, a perfect mix of delicious meats, cheeses, olives, chargrilled vegetables and homemade dips. It was perfectly balanced and we didnt get bored of any of the elements which can sometimes happen with antipasto boards. The gambas were equally delicious, 7 plump prawns butterflied and cooked over charcoal, and then drizzled with a chili and lemon dressing. The choice of wine was also excellent. A must try is the chocolate torte dessert which was as light as a mousse and had white truffle folded into it, the earthiness of the truffle with the chocolate was incredible. The service was also excellent. 10⁄10 Will be back very soon :)

Went for brunch this morning after seeing a review online. It lived up to the all the positive hype. The food was delicious — I ordered poached eggs on sourdough bread with avocado and mushrooms. Although it seems simple enough, the flavours were absolutely wonderful. I just moved over to Dublin, and have been trying out all the different brunch spots. I would argue that this place is my favourite so far. Well done ! Looking forward to trying dinner. Looks like it’ll be a lovely evening place as well.

This place is very special to me. At the time of writing this I’ve only been once, but it was a birthday-treat type lunch that I went with friends from work, so that alone would give at least four stars in my heart. However, the Toulouse Sausage sandwich I had here blew me away. I found out too late there was Dijon on it, I don’t like Dijon! But it worked so well with all the flavors that I only realized when I stopped to breathe a little bit. As much as I love the people who were with me, I have to admit there was a moment in time there where I ignored everyone else and just focused on my sense of taste. It was that good, and I will be coming back just for that. This place is new, and I think it deserves a lot of love. The décor is nice and simple and has this rustic flavor, and the wine was very reasonably priced — I might want to try it sometime.

I have found my new favourite sandwich: brioche toastie, with ham hock and manchego cheese. € 7.50 is not cheap, but, trust me, it’s worth every penny. Yeah, better than Green Bench or Oxmantown. I burned my tongue in the soup, but still scooped in for more. It was called mushroom, looked dark grey and grainy like mushroom, but was a lot more fun to eat. From the street, the venue comes across fussy and maybe more interested in the folk that will drink wine with their nibbles. Don’t be put off. The staff greet warmly and were charming. There’s not too many tables inside, maybe covers 20(give or take), with another 6(ish) on the street. Al fresco this time of the year is really just for smokers? So, throw your jacket on a chair inside, then queue up to place an order. You’ll leave with a smile. I know I did.
