I have been after going to Boqueria for a long time, we were impressed with the great selection of wines. The food is just awesome and the staff are very friendly and atent. Great spot if you want to taste the most typical flavours of Spain with a modern waybof cooking.

Ah… what can be said of a trendy place when you go there expecting something great and come back home a bit disappointed… I went there to have few nice«delicatessen». Something was wrong with the reservation, we didn’t have any table but they offer us the option to sit there for one hour in one table that was reserved for later. As far OK. After that they severed the two the dishes I ordered at the same time, what for me makes no sense(a culinary creation should be enjoyed in my opinion and be eaten with the right temperature). Bad idea was to order rice(overheated is never the same taste). They are not big issues, but in my understanding a place that wants to be a trendy new cuisine restaurant should do it different.

This place is amazing. The food really reminded me of San Sebastian. The décor is fine and the wine list is good but the dishes make this place remarkable. I shared the lobster risotto(decent piece of lobster here), the fois gras with candied beets and the chips(do not miss these). For desert I had the burger and chips. this was a lovely playful dish that brings a little molecular gastronomy to the table. I really love this place and can’t recommend it enough.

Bite sized portions of succulent duck, pork and tuna cooked to perfection. Boqueria is definitely going to be a regular spot for me, and probably all my friends after I tell them.

Boqueria is probably the most innovative restaurant to come to Stoneybatter in years. While the cuisine is not exactly Spanish, it serves everything in tapas style: little tastes so you can enjoy more different dishes and share with your fellow diners. Their menu changes with some frequency but the things which we tried which I would recommend included: Pan Seared Scallops(so fresh!) Artichoke and ricotta salad Lamb belly Crab cakes with beetroot Strawberry and Basil Soup(A surprisingly refreshing dessert) My dining companion also couldn’t help but be charmed by the Barrel Chips with Garlic Mayo that come out in a presentation that could only be described as looking like a legion of delicious Roman potato soldiers. Note: The restaurant is small and even though it’s in Grangegorman demand is high. I’d suggest booking well ahead to make sure you can get the date and time you want.

Sorry to rain on the love in here but I can’t give this place any more than two stars. There is a codicil to this though: I haven’t actually tried the food in Boqueria, by all accounts it looks great and I’ve heard from a neighbour who’s been there twice in the last month. So I look forward to checking it out soon. My bug bear with Boqueria, was the lack of voucher system. I understand as a new business they aren’t always the first thing that comes to mind and I would have happily accepted a written ‘with compliments’ slip to the value of the amount. However, the member of staff I was dealing with went out of his way not to sell me one, saying It wouldn’t be perfect and there was no way to track the purchase, might I suggest a receipt and a note in the reservations book? This lack of customer engagement I found stunning. As a new business do you not want to encourage punters in the door, which will lead to happy customers, repeat business and eventually more revenue? This lack of good will was quite surprising. I’ll leave it at that and do hope some system for encouraging good word of mouth, is put in place. Judging by the all round glowing reviews, this restaurant doesn’t seem to require it.

Best tapas in town — hands down. Service was attentive and knowledgeable, had a bit of banter with them! We visited as a group of 7 so we got to try most of the dishes. All were fantastic with great flavour balances, with the stand outs being: — Lamb belly with manchego cheese — Pork cheeks with caramelised pineapple — Seven sauce squid(the garlic sauce was totes-amaze) — Barrel chips Places like Porthouse might have a better ambience but if outstanding tapas is what you’re after, do not give Boqueria a miss!

Those of us who live in D7 are really being spoilt over the last year or so. The wealth of whopper little places to eat is staggering. Tapas are a welcome addition to Stoneybatter and we went on a Friday night to try this place out. I had heard rave reviews but it is only new so I was slightly skeptical at first. The whole setup is still slightly rough around the edges, but DONOT let that put you off. This is simply some of the best food in Dublin. Seriously, that good. For starters, two words, BARRELCHIPS. Intrigued eh? Yep, go get them, or two plates like we did. The steak was amazing, as were the scallops. I don’t think I could fault any dish, just order everything. The staff are excellent and know the menu inside out, not sure about something, ask. Drinks and service were excellent. 100% a new favourite.

This is another little gem located in stoneybatter. Only recently opened it boasts a menu with a large amount of variety and absolutely beautiful tapas. For a mere € 100 myself and my girlfriend were able to get starters of breads with olives, followed by tuna tapas, duck tapas a side of chips and next we got deserts of a type of traditional brioche deep fried and a cheese dish with fig and beautiful toppings. We also got a delicious bottle of wine included! The food is beautifully presented and tastes even better! For such a low price you get well more than you pay for. The head waitress is the girlfriend of the chef and so was able to give us along with all the other diners detailed advice on what exactly is in each dish. Everyone working there was crazy friendly and helpful. A really enjoyable experience all in all!

I’m a huge fan of Spanish food, so I was excited to hear about this new tapas option opening in Stoneybatter. Boqueria did not disappoint — this is Spanish cuisine that rivals or beats pretty much every great experience I’ve had dining around Spain. The food is beautifully presented, but this is in no way style over substance — every bite was delicious. The pea risotto was fantastically rich, the crab cakes were bursting with flavour and the seven sauce squid is literally my new favourite dish. I shared 4 dishes and some(delightfully presented) chips prepared in a fun take on patatas bravas. Together with a tasty Albariño, the bill came to a bargain € 70. I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing friends!
