5 stars for Bermos will probably raise a few eyebrows but this place is a gem of a boozer. From the outside it doesn’t look up to much, the interior is a shade of brown you probably can’t buy anymore, the locals could be considered intimidating, and the toilets just about make the good side of bad. But…It’s a Guinness drinkers heaven. Properly poured pints at a reasonable price served by auld Dub barmen who know what they are doing. Creamy head, no bubbles. They don’t even blink when you ask for a large bottle off the shelf. Proper order. The layout of the place screams sunday session with plently of chat and good banter and once you get chatting the locals are all solid heads. Brave the door, get stuck into a few pints and enjoy a little slice of real Dublin.
