Lovely pizza, fabulous service that goes the extra mile and cares and really nice live music to make a very enjoyable atmosphere. Price not too bad either. Highly recommended, I’ll be back!

Had a lovely Valentine’s night meal with my wife. Ran a little late but called ahead and it was no problem to delay the appointment on what is no doubt a very busy night. Upon arrival given a great table and my wife was presented with a rose. Lovely touch. Handed a set 4 course menu with some good options and was reasonably priced. I ordered the Italian sausage in spicy tomato sauce. Very nice. My wife had the mushroom soup. Also lovely. Mains and dessert were also well prepared and promptly brought out. All lovely. Lovely staff who tried their best for the night and stayed polite and considerate the whole time. A voucher to be used next time brought work the bill which was a lovely touch. Great place and would certainly consider it a go to place workout a moments hesitation. Thanks guys.

I have been a resident of Celbridge for 22 years and Michelangelo’s has always been in existence. For the first time in those 2 decades I ventured over the threshold to try their food. They have a set menu and a more expensive menu but being a massive cheapo I went for the set one. Starter for € 5 and Main for € 10. Starter — Chilli beef wrap(this was really nice) Main — Roma pizza(beware they load the pizza with fresh sliced tomatoes — this was not to my taste). Overall I was impressed with the food, service and WINE! God I love wine.

Michelangelo’s, the famous and renowned Italian Restaurant in Celbridge has survived for almost 30 years and that must surely be a testament to its success story! I have been there many times over the years and again more recently with my family which prompted me to write this review, a task I meant to do in the past but never got round to it. It is a most welcoming and family friendly eatery for everyone as the menu is so varied and not just all Italian as you might be led to believe, but what value for money with all mains at € 10, including any pasta dish of choice from the a la carte menu, all starters and desserts at only a mere € 5.00. The wine list is extensive, but I would highly recommend the house varieties as they are excellent and brilliant value for money in these times of austerity. Children’s dishes are half price and coffee is free when you have a full meal! Starters range from Italian Bruschetta, chilli beef wrap, deep fried camembert to name but a few, and I would highly recommend their own speciality ‘Pâté Maison’ with cumberland sauce, which sounds boring and ordinary, but it is by far the best pâté I have ever tasted and is consistently good! I would highly recommend Confit of Duck with Champ on the main course, or the fillet steak which my son says is the best around and always cooked to his ‘very rare’ liking… and if you fancy a real authentic Italian main, then I would highly recommend either their own famous Lasagne or the Tortellina with smoked salmon and cream… but be careful you’ll have very little room for dessert! Of course there is also an extensive Pizza menu. However, if I was to deduct a few points it would be the dessert menu which tends to be too Italian for my liking… panna cotta, icecream, tiramisu etc… not enough chocolate dishes for my tastebuds, but as I say you will probably be full by the time the dessert menu arrives. All-in-all, a well established and wonderful place to dine with a varied menu and welcoming, friendly staff. David, the owner/manager is always most helpful and on hand to make recommendations and tell you all about any dishes that you might like to find out what they contain etc! Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

A Celbridge institution, this place has been going for years. It’s a gorgeous old restaurant just next to the gates leading up into Castletown House, so you get the feeling of history when you step inside. It used to be quite a pricey spot, but in recent years, the owners have switched it all up to cater for all budgets. Particular favourites of mine in here are the lasagne or the sirloin steak(yes, I know, how original!) But they are just genuinely cooked to perfection, using the best quality ingredients. Tiramisu is always a winner for desert. Or breakfast. Or lunch. Or as a snack. Or liquified into liquid form. MMMMmmm Tiramisuuuuu… The set menu is the way forward. Starters are € 5, mains are € 10 and deserts are € 5. Just beware of the ‘rolling out’ factor if you do go for these options! Also, children eat for half price. But wait, don’t buy now, there’s more! You also get a free coffee with a full meal. Seriously, what is the likelihood of finding better value anywhere else?! McDonalds would nearly cost you the same amount! They deliver for € 1.50 as well, if you really want to eat like a fatted calf without the public guilt factor!

There’s little web presence for this place, but don’t let that turn you off. A reputation of expensive dishes, after a recent re-vamp, this restaurant has dropped prices to cater to diner’s needs and they have managed to pack the place out! This is a family run establishment, the parents have now handed the business to their son, and the family atmosphere is definately evident here. The usual Italian/Irish dishes on the menu of pasta, chicken, pizza etc., but not less than any standard you would expect in Dublin city. If you are a local or if you fancy a drive to Celbridge, perhaps you may be visiting some local heritage sites, this restaurant is definately worth your consideration. My parents generally book beforehand so I’m not sure if it is ok to just drop in as floorspace is not huge. A period property, the setting is quaint and cosy and, although they fit lots of tables into a small area, it is not crowded or noisy. I had bruschetta, pizza and pavalova. I couldn’t complain about any of it, all yummy and the waiter even offered to wrap up the remainder of my pizza for later, which I thought was a nice touch. Everyone at the table enjoyed their pizzas, steak and chicken. Soup starters and ice cream deserts were also well received. The toilets are a climb upstairs but they are lovely and clean and spacious. Parking is on-street, but you can generally find a spot around here. The door isn’t the widest so I’m not sure if it is wheelchair or pram/buggy friendly. The staff is friendly, they took our desert order, then brought out the cake we had bought for my mum, then the waitress came back and asked us if we really wanted our desert orders or if we just wanted her to cut the cake, which I thought was a nice touch. We took the desert and had cake later :) All round, a positive experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back or reccommend for couples or family groups.
