Castletown Pharmacy

Relatively new bright and airy Pharmacy on the upper main Street in Celbridge, just across the road from the Arthur Guinness statue. Great opening hours till 7.00 or 8.00 pm. most evenings. They stock all the usual pharmacy stuff such as medicines, skincare, cosmetics, baby products, veterinary etc., and they do a full health check for only € 14.99 which includes cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, and BMI. I think their prescription prices are really competitive and if I’m not mistaken they appear to be the cheapest in Celbridge — which, for a smallish town, has an astonishing number of Pharmacies — six in total! Maybe the competition is having an effect.
However, I would give top marks and a full five stars to Castletown Pharmacy for their wonderful customer service. The Pharmacist and lady who owns it, Pery, is a complete professional but also caring, friendly and helpful. In fact, I know from other customers that if patients/​customers cant pay fully for their prescriptions, she’s extremely nice to them and puts them at ease in a discretionary manner by handing them their medication and suggesting they drop by at another time to pay the amount owed. To my mind that is very trusting and shows compassion, but above all excellence in customer service.
This Pharmacy also offers free blood pressure checks and provides a free delivery service — what more can I say!
