Le Belvédère

Resto sympa avec une belle vue. On y mange pas mal et ce n’est pas trop cher. Service un peu trop expéditif mais serveurs sympas.

Tres bien. We had a six top without a reservation which I bet in season would be a bad move. Plenty of seating but they did put us in the sun because no reservation made. The view is of one of the most photographed places in the world. You are up on the cliffs looking down on the Dordogne river. Tres magnifique.
I ordered the croque de Berger which is dried duck on toast and goat cheese. It was fantastic. The duck went well with the goat cheese spread on some wonderful bread. It came with a wonderful fresh salad. House wine at the table was perfect. My sister had the Coq AU Vin which tasted great. Perfectly cooked. My wife got the croque Monsieur avec frites (French fries). I love the great moutarde (mustard) all over Europe so used that on her frites. Yum! Her sandwich was beautiful with a nice coating of fromage (cheese) on top. The flavor was incredible although a little disappointed with the texture of bread. If in America we expect this but in France we have learned to like a tougher bread with any meal.
We got great service in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Had it a 4 star when I started but after reading this have to give it a 5. What a fantastic experience worth the trip. I think most Unilocalers would agree.

Restaurant touristique. Pas mauvais mais sans atttrait: la vue est par contre très sympa (arriver tot pour être bien placé)
