As of recently Mr. G’s has added beans to my burritos on request… YEAH!!!

This is probably the best bean and cheese burrito place in Yuma if that’s what you want. I’m pretty sure they use Monetary or Mozzarella cheese in the burritos and cheese crisp which in my opinion taste better than cheddar :) the salsa has really good flavor but it’s so thin it’s like a water consistency(just wish it was a little thicker so it didn’t run off my food) … Also, can’t beat the prices ! :)

It’s all rite had better. Salsa is flat and watered down. If you need something to fill the void it will do the. Price is fair for what you get.

I just want to say that the employees at Mr. G’s are amazing! My best friend and I were on our way back to Phoenix from San Diego and wanted to place an order to go but wouldn’t make it in time before closing. We called hoping to be able to place the order, leave our credit card info and have them hide our food somewhere outside the building. They couldn’t do it): instead they stayed open an extra 30 minutes just for us! Great food, great service and just all around nice people!

What is it about the bean and cheese burritos at Mr. G’s? They are addicting! One of the best things about Mr. G’s is that the food hasn’t changed much since its humble beginnings. Except that the salsa has been watered down, which is my only complaint. Mr. G’s is comfort food for anyone who grew up in Yuma.

Friendly service but the food is okay. Salsa was very watery and the famous bean and cheese burritos are not all that. Of course in Yuma this might be the best.

I grew up eating Mr. G’s burritos and after living in Phoenix for 7 years I still crave them.

Good basic, tasty Mexican food. Fast service. Plenty of outdoor seating. Cheap. We will go next time we’re passing through Yuma!

I haven’t been here in a few years. Let me tell you why I despise this place. Before I moved to Yuma, I use to live in California and the burritos there come with beans in it. So, I ordered a carne asada burrito with everything and it only came with meat and salsa or meat, rice and salsa. I asked them to add beans to it. They said no, we don’t do that. I said what do you mean you don’t do that, why not? Their response, we just don’t. I said can you please add beans to my burrito? I’ll pay extra. Their response, no we don’t do it that way. I said do you understand that I’m the customer who is willing to pay extra for it? Their response, yeah but we don’t do it. I said you’re gonna stand there and tell me I can’t have a burrito that I’m paying for, my way? Their response, yeah we don’t make it that way. So I can see my buddy getting frustrated with going back and forth arguing with the employee. So I ordered my food and vowed never to return to that place. I found a place that puts beans in their burritos, it’s called Food City. They have a carneceria in the back part of the store. I ordered a chicharon burrito with beans and rice. Just like how I want it. I hope the owner sees this and informs the staff not to be arguing with the customers like that again.

Good food but very stingy. They don’t have a salsa bar and they charge for every thing extra. If you want an extra salsa cup they look at you funny. Other than that, their food is pretty good

I was surprised at the poor reviews. Everyone should embrace the good and order the best sellers. Don’t order the crappy food and they’ll eventually learn they have to change it. I’ve never had a problem with the food though. It reminds me of cucas in cali a little bit. Cuca’s salsa is better though. Maybe there is some truth to overhyped, but when you make bomb rolled tacos, and one can order fresh flour tortillas, maybe people just order the wrong things.

This review is actually from when I came with my family on a trip to Yuma the week of Christmas 2014. :) Anyway, my husband and his parents have long raved about this place to me. So I was pretty excited to have dinner here after a 5 hour car ride. I got a burrito and chips. So good. I ordered one bean and cheese burrito. I think I could have actually ordered 4 and ate them all. They were so good. The chips and salsa were delicious. My husband basically just drinks the salsa with every bite of his burrito. When it came time to head back home to California after a few days, we stopped for lunch at Mr. G’s before we left. Once again, I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with a side of some french fries. They were pretty good! Went well with the salsa. And of course, for the ride home, we ordered a few extra burritos to store in the cooler for snacking. :D

It’s pretty easy… you get rolled tacos, bean & cheese burrito, &/or a machaca burrito & you can’t go wrong. The only place in Phx like this is Carolinas. So they are second in line for good comfort mexican food your abuela would make.

I grew up in Yuma and now live in Phoenix. Every time I go home to visit my parents, I always stop here or Chili Pepper to pick up an order for my brother and friends in Phoenix. The best burritos in town.

I agree with Fernando – avoid the carne asana burrito, but green chile burritos are good. Good food overall – price is right!

Watery salsa with no flavor. Bean and cheese burrito was okay, nothing special. Service was pretty quick during lunch hour but there was nothing special on the menu that would make me want to go back. Subpar offerings and poor flavors make me unlikely to come back.

I am addicted to the bean and cheese burritos. They are delicious, specially when adding the salsa! It is a nice place. It has been incredibly fast even though the staff tends to be very occupied with customers’ demands and phone orders. The place tends to be clean, and its big enough.

I’ve been to Mr. G’s twice, based on rave reviews from coworkers. I have to say, it did not live up to their hype. The Carne asada burrito is literally just a big tortilla with chopped up meat inside. No beans no rice no pico, nothing. They do give you a side of guacamole or sour cream if you want though. The meat itself was pretty good and they give you a lot, but I wish there had been other stuff in that burrito. It got monotonous to eat towards the end. Plus the grease from the meat was spilling out as I ate, it was a mess! My favorite thing I ordered was the bean burrito. The only thing it needed was some pico or salsa to help it from being dry. Unfortunately I was eating in my car and their salsa is terrible for eating in the car. It’s just straight up liquid and the little plastic cups it comes in are so overfilled, when I went to open one it spilled all over the console of my car, boo. I like my salsa chunkier, not just liquid! Lastly, their soda sizes are odd. The small size of their soda is the size you would expect for a child’s meal. To get a typical small soda you should order their medium soda.

Love this place! Favorite is the Bean n Cheese Burrito! Rolled Tacos with G’s Salsa, amazing! When I’m in Yuma I buy for dinner and buy to take home for next day! Sooooo bad, but soooo good! Happy they remodeled the location!

Yum! Rolled tacos, carne Asada… Even the rice and beans were sooo good. I wish this place opened later so I could stop by during drives through Yuma. The rolled tacos were so good that I had eaten them all before shooting a pic to share. Oh well. It had been like 10 years since I tried it and was worried that I had memory Hyped it – but no… simply great food with consistency and delicious taste and texture. And let’s not forget the salsa(it’s watery but great flavor and the perfect compliment to rolled tacos). I wish I could have this on the daily.
