We went for the Thursday bargain $ 7.95 specials. I had the chili relleno and a beef taco, while my wife had the mole tacos. Both came with rice and refried beans. Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time! My wife agrees. At 5pm the place was filling up with locals and by the time we left they were parking on the street. Good service, too.

Unpretentious good food at great prices. Excellent margaritas. Super tasty fish tacos and as good a chicken fajita you could want. I like the original décor and booths and it’s also very popular with the locals, always a good sign. Highly recommend

I’m a regular. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else. Delicious, authentic Mexican food, super fast and SUPERFRIENDLY service. Full bar, great drinks, clean, comfortable and welcoming. Did I mention the food? They have Gringo tacos(ground beef) that are the BOMB, and they don’t make you feel like a spaz for ordering them. GOHEREFORYUCCAVALLEY’S BESTMEXICANFOODOUTSIDEOFMEXICO!!!

The restaurant was clean and cute. It was very busy for a Friday lunch. I ordered the Chile Rellano combo. The rellano was excellent. The beans and rice were fine. Our waiter was attentive and checked back enough without being an annoyance. He kept our drinks filled. The chips and salsa were the only down side. They were not bad, just not great. The salsa was for tender tongues. It could not have been milder. The chips were fresh but did not seem to be just cooked. I prefer chips that are delivered to the table hot and salted. These were neither. I will return when I’m in the area. I would like to try another entrée but will definitely have a rellano again.

I have actually eaten here a couple of times and the last visit was vastly improved over the first. So much so that LP is deserving of some positive feedback According to my buddy who is a local they have recently changed their cook\chef. In any case we were quickly greeted and immediately seated as it was late afternoon and pretty empty. Dining Room Still our ice teas and a basket of fresh and hot chips with two salsas quickly followed. two types of salsa To my surprise a nice serving of fresh guacamole too(ordered by aforementioned buddy) was waiting when I returned from the bathroom. A nice serving of guacamole which was not too onion laden as some guacs can be. Thought it was fresh and went great with the chips. So what to order, I knew I wanted something somewhat lighter. That’s tough to do at a Mexican place but I figured I would just skip the rice and beans. They offer several different tacos so I went that route. Two tacos a la carte, one fish and one chicken. I was really impressed with the fish taco, a large portion and the fish was fresh with a nice bit of crunchy cabbage too. It is served on a two large, soft corn tortillas. The shredded chicken taco was really good to but I wasn’t a fan of the hard shell. Still I was very pleased and satisfied. Two Taco =Chicken and fish They have some specials like $ 1.50 tacos on Mondays which locals seem to partake of as it is tough to find a seat. Anyhow I would definitely go back to Las Palmas for their attentive and friendly service and certainly what I have already tried. Looking forward to my next visit when I am in the area.

We love Las Palmas… best Margarita in town, best Mexican food in town, best servers in town! They remember who you are, more often than not, they are bringing what we want before we order it. Highly recommend!

Ug. I really do not find enjoyment in writing bad reviews and this local family Restaurant makes that even more difficult because of its apparent popularity with tourist and locals alike from what is shown here on Unilocal. So we have feedback for good reason, though it is still an agonizing dénouement, to rate it 1 star for tasteless, poor quality(ingredients and in concept), and questionably unsafe food. I got sick. After the horrid spore-ridden-refrigerator after-taste(for us of big families, we’ve all been there with our home fridges a time or two– let’s not be naïve, we know what that is like) in the, otherwise, bland orange old-tomato-y paste in a handful of chopped onions and a leaf or two of cilantro excuse for salsa, we decided not to dive into the seafood dishes and, instead, test shallow(safer) waters with a simple order of Nachos. That was a mistake… The nachos, visually, to me it looked like mediocre diner Mexican food like, say, Alberto’s which is OKAY if you’re Alberto’s…Unfortunately at Las Palmas, the ingredients were like grocery store poor quality stuff. The cheese tasted like Kraft or something and it was rubbery. I’m not sure how to pin this down exactly but it didn’t taste FRESH, and again the guacamole was flavorless and not fresh tasting. There was no dispersion of temperature or variety of texture. The chips would crumble into tiny little pieces! The only time that I KNOW chips to behave this way is when they have been put in a MICROWAVE for too long — I am just saying! Lastly the shredded meat was not very warm and tasted old and off(I say meat because we ordered beef, but we served chicken and beef and at that point into the night we’ve already made our opinion to even bother with complaints.

This is a great find. The chips and salsa were excellent. Food was really good. Beans need some flavor though. :) Margaritas kicked my ass. Service was great too. We will be back!

I’m a weekly customer of Las Palmas — my go-to place to meet up for dinner dates with friends and family. Food is authentic and consistent and they now have a vegetarian menu which is surprisingly upscale and tasty. Service is always friendly, sometimes slow when it’s super busy. Great little neighborhood hang out without the feel of a chain restaurant.

Love the food at Las Palmas, my favorite are the soups!!! And I can’t say enough about the staff, especially Raul ! He is so attentive, friendly and engaging. He makes everyone feel like friend. My friends love the spinach enchiladas and the chicken salad. The best guacamole, salsa and fresh chips. You can’t go wrong at Las Palmas!

Ive been to this place a few times. The food is good though the customer service is not as good as it used to be. We waited tonight for menus and the drink order. They forgot to bring out soup for my mother. Then in the end offered her cold soup to take home. For an $ 80.00 meal they should step up the service. It will be awhile before I go back.

Had dinner last week and food was lousy… Chile relleno had NOCHEESE inside. Beans, meh, rice meh, beer was good. This place has gone down hill quick. Sad.

The food we ordered was OK, they dont give you chips and salsa for your wait. Its super hot in there. We won’t be back, even though it could have been worse. Im thinking most of the good reviews must be from people who drink alcohol… stuff tastes better when you’ve been drinking.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Hi Desert! Their chips & salsa are bomb! Their food overall is great. Negatives: Sunday brunch is too pricey & they charged me for our 6yr old to eat(he has 2 pancakes). They also run out of food a lot at the buffet & we have to wait for more. Their waiters there can’t be beat… they are AWESOME guys! Only other negative — they want $ 7 for a container of their salsa & thats just ridiculous. It is, however, the only place we have Mexican so clearly the good outweighs the bad.

2 stars because the waiter was very friendly and attentive and I really liked the overall décor in this place etc… but the food was a big disappointment. I was really wanting some good authentic southern California Mexican food and this was really bland and badly prepared. I ordered vegetarian nachos which you would think would be hard to screw up-almost ANY Mexican restaurant should be able to throw this simple dish together successfully but whoever made these didn’t know about ratio’s when it comes to ingredients– barely any beans(WTF???) and TONS of rubbery melted cheddar cheese(no jack etc…) PRISON nacho’s. Yuck. My husband ordered the chile relleno which he liked ok but I thought it was soggy and lacking in flavor. His was definitely better than my dish though. I see this place is well liked for the most part so this could be just one of those certain«styles» of Mexican food I don’t care for. But the nacho’s were ridiculous, I’v had better nacho’s at 7 – 11.

Great place. Very friendly service, they make ya feel at home. The food is consistent, and the portions are nice enough where you always have to take some home. Fresh chips and salsa when you sit down, and the prices are food. Oh and their deep friend ice cream is killer!
