So disappointed when I came here! I came here the night of Summer Stroll on Plumas. I ordered the fish and chips. Food came out reasonable time. I ate a piece off the end of the fish and it tasted amazing. Then I went to cut the middle to start eating and noticed it wasn’t cutting. I thought that was weird. So I preceded to pick up fillet of fish and realized it was completely raw! I could see the flesh of the fish and it was basically a sold fillet of raw fish. Disgusted and no appetite at this point. I decided to just get an appetizer and the waitress apologized. I asked if I would be charged over this mistake and was told I would be charged for whichever dish was the cheapest. In this case the fish and chips was cheaper than the appetizer I was gonna order. I Didn’t really eat much as I kept thinking of the raw fish. Finally, we asked for the bill and was told«we are not going to charge you at all since we made that mistake.» Waitress opens ticket to hand to my friend for her meal. Then realizes I was charged despite them saying otherwise. Her words«oh I guess they did charge you. Sorry to get your hopes up». It was also more expensive than the menu listed. Speechless over this awkward incident and still disgusted, and now shocked over how it was handled. I would give no stars if I could. Please be aware going here and I won’t be back that’s for sure.

This little place has some vintage décor detail and is very welcoming small. and cozy. . All the beer is fabuloso. .. Lots of fried food on the menu, not very many healthy choices. If your into cheese get the mozzarella sticks even though they say appetizer they are HUGE! a meal on its own. My husband likes the rueben I get the turkey burger, they are small to average size portions although they like to make up for that by covering your plate with so many shoestring fries that you can’t even try to eat half of them without dying. Like spicy? get the fries«Thai style»! Yummmmy. I like it when I can find the buy one get one coupon!

Have been here for lunch a few times and have got to say Sutter Buttes Brewing has excellent beer and food. Burgers, pizza, and fish/chips are my favorites along with their IPA beer. Makes for a great meal whether it is lunch or dinner.

Average atmosphere. My burger was cooked to perfection w/the bun toasted just right. Wish they had pepper jack cheese though. Upgraded to the sweet potatoes fries and was glad that I did — they were terrific. 5pm and the place was busy with just one waiter — get Michael some help!

Came here with a big party. Our waiter was attentive and was friendly. But the food took way too long to come out. Most of our party agreed that the food was not worth the wait. We did not have dessert or beer, so maybe those might be better.

I went to always elegant yesterday to get my bridesmaid dresses for my wedding. We were so hungry afterwards and wanted to originally go to city café off plumas street. They were closed luckily we stumbled across this delicious place! We asked two ladies leaving the restaurant if they enjoyed their food, they raved about the salad and sweet potato fries. Although all the dishes looked very appetizing I went with The pub burger with Thai chili fries(I got bison). So delicious my sister got the hot pastrami sandwich with garlic fries! Both good eats! And not to mention they brew their own beer Derrick was our server and he was awesome! We also had calamari as a appetizer! Everything was so tasty!

My family and I went here for the first time last week. We took our children, there IS a kids menu ;) they had chicken and fries. Great tasting chicken I might add. I had the Frenchie French Dip sandwich. Not a fan of it at all :(The bread was a nice flaky bread. But I didn’t care for the sandwich other than that. My 6 year old actually loved it. She took it over for me. What I didn’t like was the scent of the meat. I just couldn’t eat it after a few bites. Thai fries are very good. Similar to the Asian Zing flavor at Buffalo Wild Wings. Went to Sutter Buttes Brewing for a second time last week, this time with my IPA loving dad. I had the Shepherd’s Pie this time. Absolutely delicious! Took quite a while for it to cool down, but it was so good. My dad wished he’d have ordered it. I was hesitant to come back for a second visit because of my dislike of the Frenchie French Dip. So glad I tried something new, and have found a favorite. If you’re looking for a growler, theirs is a nice one. A good variety of beer to choose from to fill a growler as well.

Talk about a diamond in the rough! My navigation system pointed me toward what used to be a rougher part of town, but it appears the town is getting a face lift! One major enhancement is this gem of a brewery/pub! The stainless steel vats are lined up like soldiers behind the bartender, glimmering and beckoning. Per the bartender’s suggestion, I ordered the Scotch Ale and a piping hot soft pretzel with beer cheese. Great combination, but I prefer salted butter on my pretzels, which she happily delivered to me. For lunch, I had the Pastrami Reuben and opted for onion rings as my side. The Reuben was phenomenal; tender meat piled high with a rich Russian dressing, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese between two slices of grilled rye. My mouth is watering just thinking about how good it tasted. However, I could only eat half a sandwich after devouring that colossal pretzel. The onion rings were super crispy, so there were no «slimy onion snake» incidents while trying to tear them in half. Service was quick, friendly, and accurate. The bartender made our visit very enjoyable with her upbeat personality. Vast selection of brews on draught. Go for the beer and stay for the food! Wear stretchy pants.

I stopped here for lunch a year ago while passing thru Yuba City for work. I have wanted to come back ever since. Today I finally found an excuse to come up here again, and my experience was every bit as good as I rememeber. I had the Pub burger, fries, and a house brewed Scotch Ale. It was a terrifically satisfying lunch! Staff is very friendly too. If you are near Yuba Cuty, give Sutter Buttes Brewing a visit — you will not be dissappointed!

This is a favorite of ours here in YC. I am not a beer drinker. Cannot stand the smell or taste. I go for the food and the company… The hub likes it. They do an incredible prime rib dinner. The sides are never the same. Thursday night is our fav night. BUT, when I don’t feel like a big piece of meat, I order the Ruben salad. OMGoodness this is wonderful. I love, love, love it. To finish off our dinner we order 1 piece of the Carmel spongecake to share. It is huge and delightful and oh so good. The beer… Craig wants the Yule big every time. You cannot fill your growler though. It’s on short supply, a special if you will. (We have done the beer of the month club for our boys as a gift at Christmas. I make a certificate and then hub and sons go and full their growlers. The boys get the gift and still the hub gets his growler filled too. Sheesh, men!) they all have their favorites. Great place for families and for groups.

We went here for the second time(last Sunday) as our first visit was really good. Unfortunately, this was a totally different experience. The place was nearly empty, but it took a while to get our order. My friend had a pizza and while slightly undercooked, it was still good. I ordered the pastrami with no kraut and thousand island on the side. The first time it came with kraut and I sent it back. 20+ minutes later(after my friend had already finished her meal) my second pastrami sandwich showed up. Unfortunately, the second one was wrong too… this time it had no kraut, but was covered in the dressing I had asked to have on the side. There seemed to be some confusion between the server and the chef. Never got what I ordered and left with something I couldn’t eat! So my friend ate alone, I had no lunch and I still got charged for what I never received! VERYDISAPPOINTING! ! !

So after a long day shopping in Roseville, we decided to stop here on our way to Redding. We sat at the Bar and were immediately greeted by Addy who was very nice, informed and knowledgeable. After a lengthy discussion on the different characteristics of each beer which was very refreshing, I had the IPA, followed by their special triple IPA, which is to die for!!! We then spoke to Kelly who was also very nice and again knowledgeable about the various beers and a delight to talk to! The food arrived next, we had the Hoffbrau sandwich, and it was fabulous! Coupled with the excellent live music, I couldn’t ask for a nicer experience! Don’t miss this gem if you’re near Yuba City!!!

Today I came in after 2pm, lucky me it was Happy Hour. I ordered a Cider and it was delicious, I can drink these for days lol. I started off with the Beer cheese and Bavarian Sampler. I must say the Bavarian pretzel was baked perfect amazing, compared to the pretzels I have had at Sierra Nevada Taproom Restaurant in Chico and Feather Falls Brewing Co in Oroville. Excellent pretzel, the beer cheese and mustard were good. The sausages were delicious, I really liked the flavor/grilled! I was expecting the German Potato salad to be warm, but it was cold, which is okay. It tasted great. I would definitely order this sampler again next time and I highly recommend sharing it. For lunch I ordered the Hoffbrau Sandwich. It is Jäger Snitzel on a hoagie style bun. Very delicious pork and creamy mushroom gravy served open face. For a side I picked garlic fries. They are tossed with a light amount of garlic and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. I enjoyed this lunch, very satisfying! Since it was Happy Hour, 2pm to 5pm, 50% off beers and 50% off pizzas. I added in a Smoked Duck pizza to bring home. They have a variety of Wood-Fired pizzas, Thin crust!!! The Duck pizza has smoked duck, goat cheese, mozzarella, red onions, and hoisin sauce. It was a bit dry, needed more sauce and more cheese. Next time I’ll have to try Margherita. You can’t do half and half on pizzas, unless it is the New York, which comes with one topping of your choice. The pizzas aren’t too big(enough for 1 or 2), so if you are with several people, great idea to order two or three pizzas. My server was Shelby, very nice and good customer service. I came in at a great time this afternoon. I have never been to dinner yet, but one of these days soon I will… now that Prime Rib Thursdays has caught my attention ;) Overall such a great place and can’t wait to go back more often whenever I am in the area!

I came in on a Tuesday right when they opened at 11 a.m. and was able to easily find free parking. I sat at the bar and had really good service from Ed who gave me a tip to taste in order of IBU(International Bittering Units) from lowest to highest. Great advice! The restaurant was a little too dimly lit for my taste, but it wasn’t too big of a deal. The menu wasn’t overly impressive in terms of vegetarian options, so I ordered a modified version of the Beer cheese and Bavarian Sampler(two pretzels and no sausage or potato salad that contained bacon). The pretzels and beer cheese were fantastic! Apparently, this was just added to the menu two weeks ago too. A beer flight of four 5oz pours costs $ 7.50. Here is what I thought: Liked: 1. Franklin(Double IPA) — favorite 2. Oktoberfest 3. Riley’s Red 4. West Coast Ale 5. Water Tower IPA Didn’t Try: 1. Kolsch 2. Hefeweizen 3. Amber Ale 5. Sutter County Common I would come back if I was in the area!

A must stop if you’re in good olé Yuba City… Main Street USA! They have several fresh brews. For you hop-heads out there, they have plenty of IPAs. I like lighter brewhaha and their Kolsch style beer hit the spot. The employees are super cool. And, the inside looks like a proper German Bier Garten(sp?). Oh, they have a ridiculous happy hour. Half priced beers AND pizzas! We rolled out of their full of beer and pizza with nearly full wallets. What are the hours of said HH? Well, I don’t remember. Don’t, give me that. Just google it for criminy sake. I don’t know. Give em call maybe? I forget ok. It was last weekend… sheesh. If you don’t stop here while in Yuba City you have major issues with your priorities.
