The layout is nice, there’s a good breeze and the food is good. But the service is terrible. The bartenders are rude and have zero patience. They might be overworked or just impatient. Either way, i don’t appreciate it when a bartender tells me to relax and wait a f-in minute for your drink. I was simply asking a second time because i thought they couldn’t hear me. Never going back

Just okay. Sort of pricey and you can tell it’s more of a tourist trap. Locals don’t bother. Drinks were strong though so those were worth it.

Beachy atmosphere, great waiter, delicious cocktails, good beer selection on tap, and great dining. Oh, and a beautiful view. I’d call that a score! Highly recommended.

Seared tuna! Amazing!!! I am not a person who would eat that kind of food, but I loved it. Fries is really crispy and yummu.

GREATPLACE! My friend and had a wonderful dinner here last night. We both had salads. I had the California salad with added seared tuna! Absolutely tops! The greens were fresh. The tuna seared perfectly! The dressing with Asian flair was super tasty! My friend had the berry blue salad with added grilled chicken. Same goes here for this salad! FRESH! We did start with a be my basil tine flatbread. Ahhhh, yum! Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Checking in often. She recommended a shared desert. A cannoli dip! The cannoli filling was chilled and served in a small glass canning jar. Served with fresh strawberries and wedges of cannoli pastry to dip in the filling! OMG! Amazing! There was a full moon this night. So the ocean front dining? Mixed with a stellar meal and amazing company? Tops! Give them a try! Fun place. Great staff. Fresh food!

Food was pretty decent. The location is perfect to pop in after being on the beach all day and needing some dinner and a cold one. It’s a fun atmosphere. Very limited kids menu for those with kids. There are two items… never quite seen anything like it. Chicken Fingers and Grilled cheese… that’s it.

Great food, awful service. My husband is a waiter at a large resort and we think Stone’s Throw is just poorly managed – our waitress was generally rude and aloof and we only actually saw her twice – other servers brought our food out and took care of our check. We weren’t given the chance to ask for anything so my husband ate his waffle without syrup and we never had our waters refilled despite attempts to get the servers’ attention. He also ordered coffee and never got it but was charged for it. I loved my food but it was pretty irritating to watch servers and the hostess wander nonchalantly by our table while we waited 15 minutes after finishing our food for our check. We felt so ignored that we could have literally walked out without paying and no one would have noticed.

Can’t beat the location. Food was decent, don’t have a lot of complaints. It just didn’t leave a very memorable experience.

Got the lobster roll, portions were so small for the price I paid. It was good, but was the size of my hand stretched out. I think they make their own chips and those were pretty good, however the green beans that come with most things are the worst things I have ever tried. They are pickled and sour. We ordered calamari for our appetizer and it was rubbery and tasteless. Wait staff was ok, could be a little more attentive. I would maybe try this place again if the prices weren’t so high

Great find! I rolled in with my crew of 7 at a random hour on a holiday weekend Sunday evening. No problem accommodating my large party. Great service from our waiter, Ty. He was one of the best I’ve had in quite a while — just the right level of attentive; aware of the other large parties coming in after us and made sure he got our order in ahead; worked great with my younger kids and had all the right food out to the right kids. Food: very good quality food, good menu with some unique options in sandwiches and flatbreads while keeping a couple classic beach-side offerings. The buffalo shrimp were just about perfect and the cheddar chips we fantastic(the Sriracha kept the little kids from diving in to them!). Kids loved the grilled cheese and the chicken fingers. The home made chips and their fries were also just the right amount of crispy. Location: outside the small town, but that is part of what makes it nice. Right across the street from the beach and not really a bad view in the place. Besides the deck heaters, they brought blankets for the folks lucky enough to get the ‘front row seats’. Will definitely be back.

Only stopped in for a couple beers, but I liked the place. It was really nice inside, and also had a spot where you could get a drink outside next to a outside gas fire. Would definitely go back, just earlier next time!

We were«that couple» who brought the baby. Thank goodness, he was super well behaved. That said, we still needed a couple special items(wipes, napkins, spoon) and Maddie, our server, was awesome. For apps we got the fried guacamole and chedd chips… both better than 5 stars. Super tasty and well spiced. We both got drinks, a blueberry vodka cosmo and a breakwater, both in excellent proportion. For dinner, my wife got the steamers, and I got the scallops over mashed and some sort of spiced decadent sauce and salad. the flavors… I truly hadn’t tasted anything like it before. We got our seat right on the Street side, with a view of the beach… with the flavors alone this place is 4 stars, with the extra star for the excellent service. We will definitely be back.

The place is cool looking, however, the food that we had was lackluster. The chips were crispy but the topping were sparse and not really flavorful. The Lobster Flatbread had a lot of lobster that I picked off and ate. Same as described above with the flavors. The scallops were perfectly cooked and so were the greens but it was soooooo salty. All in all a great place to have drinks but not to eat dinner.

Our last stop and a favorite place! Delicious for the foodies at heart dining beachside for a great experience! We always enjoy brunch beachside here when in York Harbor. I Love their simple but fun combinations for drinks and menu i.e. including the ever so popular chicken and waffles trend. The only drink I missed was a good old fashioned expresso, this is a must have for brunch or as after dinner option. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Fresh food, well portioned and delicious! We had The Joey and The Sweetie. Both came with home fries(sweetie with sweet potato home fries), eggs, peppers and toast. The view is unbeatable and the wait staff is friendly and the service is fast. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere and attentive staff — the restaurant is literally a stones throw from the beach. Food was decent but nothing to write home about, the only thing I thought was stellar were the buffalo shrimps nice selection of beers on tap — would be close to 4 stars if it weren’t so damn expensive.

We stopped into Stones Throw today for a drink and to unwind. To be honest, we were thinking of going elsewhere for dinner. However, once we were seated and comfortable, we looked over the menu and decided to eat. All of us loved our meal and were very impressed with the food. The best thing we ate was the tempura avocado special. The buffalo shrimp were excellent too! All in all, we ate a variety of things off the menu and all seven of us really enjoyed our meal. Oh yeah, the view is fairly spectacular too!

The hotel was awesome, Joe was friendly and helpfull, the room was 4 star hotel, with patio facing beach. I bet the restaurant taste good, we don’t have a change to try the menu. In all it was a great vacation for us, if you visiting the east coast, you gotta stay at this place. Oo ya Joe is the owner and you gonna like him.

Stayed and ate at Stones Throws for an extended weekend and absolutely loved it. The Inn: There are only eight rooms total at this Inn, everyone gets an ocean view and a patio. The rooms are a normal size and fit two people comfortably. The bed in our room was super comfortable and clean. I never heard our neighbors and it was a very quiet hotel even when there was a dinner/bar crowd. The room included a mini fridge with freezer and a K-cup machine with k-cups. The room contains an A/C and ceiling fan, we were never hot and were very comfortable. The staff at the Stones Throw were all very nice and very helpful. All together Stones Throw is an excellent location and value but there were a few things that they could improve upon. Even though there were shades/blinds on the window and slider, the sun blinds you around 6am every morning. I personally have a hard time falling back asleep with bright lights, a light blocking shade on the window and slider would have been perfect. The bed frame in the rooms protrudes out and is really easy to kick or slam your knee into, be careful of this! The side tables by the bed were also a little dangerous as the corner was the perfect height to poke your eye out if you turned over and your head is by the side end of the bed. Push the side tables out further to avoid this! Parking was convenient and free but it was SUPER tight. I do not have a large car but of course the two vehicles next to me where trucks and not parked strait. It made it very hard to park the car and unpack it. I would really recommend that they move the dumpster and extend the parking spots out just a little more to make more room. All of the rooms contain an electronic pass code instead of a key. In one way it is very nice to not have a key, but I was a little concerned about the safety of our stuff since it was apparent that this six digit pass code did not change for these rooms. We never had an issue with our personal items and there is a lock box, but it is just something that you will want to note if staying here. I would of felt more secure if we had a key to the room. I will say that we never had an issue with our stuff or anyone coming into the room. The Restaurant: We ate here for breakfast one day and also had appetizers and drinks one night. Breakfast was very good, but it is very pricey. We got the homemade donuts and they were outstanding! We all got a different egg dish for breakfast and everything was very tasty. The only thing negative thing I would say is that the prices were high, but the quality made it worth it. We got a few appetizers(flat bread and wings) and drinks one night and everything was very good. I was very impressed with the beers they had on tap, they were all very good! The food for both breakfast and dinner came out fast and the wait staff was excellent. I would recommend getting a table right on the street so you can view the water and do some people watching!

My husband and I decided to go to Stones Throw in York Beach for dessert and a drink. The setting is lovely on Long Sands. We ordered the fried dough $ 8 with powdered sugar, whipped cream and side of blueberry jam. I would have kept my mouth shut but the bartender asked us how is your dessert? It was very little dough in the middle and cooked to much. She said that another lady was afraid of salmonella as the reason… I should have said there are no eggs in bread dough… just flour, water & yeast… She did nothing about it but was not as friendly after that! Oh well I won’t order that again! The sangria which I would give 3 or 4 stars was good… I guess the cooks have never been to a carnival and had fried dough before!
