First of all, they had«lunch» by Maine Brewing Co on tap so that’s awesome. I stopped in for a slice and a beer one night a couple weeks ago. I got a slice with shaved steak as a topping and there was a very generous portion of it, and the slice was a decent size. Now, the pizza was definitely tasty but I am holding«Maine pizza» to it’s own standards for this review. It’s not New York pizza. It’s not Boston, Somerville, Medford, or Cambridge pizza. But it is good pizza. I wasn’t personally crazy about the atmosphere, it’s very bright and slick and that’s not my thing but so what? Before this place was there, it was a Chinese joint called Panda Sakura or something. That place was awesome so I was sad to see it go but I’ll likely be back for a slice and high quality beer next summer.

Wish there was an option for no stars. They just tried to recycle a pizza. They mistakenly gave my pizza to someone at the bar and they realized their mistake after the bar patrons ate a slice. They then took the pizza back into the kitchen and tried to add the missing slice and pass it off as a new pizza and hand it to me. I discovered it before I left the restaurant and made them give me a refund. Notice the pepperoni slice that doesn’t match. The owner and worker tried to apologize, but had no excuse other than a failed attempt at deception. They own other York Maine establishments. FYI

Slice is awesome! We were very indecisive on a Tuesday night(when a surprising number of restaurants are closed in York Beach), so we defaulted to pizza. Since Paras closed in 2010, pizza options have been slim at Short Sands. We saw that Slice had just opened a few weeks before, and we are so glad we tried it out! Great location next to Inn On The Blues. We took an outdoor table, and John was our server. He was really great, and helpful with suggestions and hot sauces. Pizzas: we got«The Shrimpy», and added lobster. Amazingly good! Kids got one with mushroom, basil and banana peppers, another with pepperoni, jalapeños, banana peppers and onions. Five stars from all of us! Great drinks, too!

3 adults, 4 children. Pizza was on order for us this past Sunday. We should have none as the place was just about empty. The pizza was bland, tasteless, and had cardboard texture. The kids did not even like it. A couple of the kids had meatball subs that were better than the pizza but they left it anyway as no one wanted to eat the other half any way. Clean, pleasant place, lousy food. We always go to York but we not be eating cardboard pizza ever again.

Pizza is not ‘cardboard’ at all. York needed a place like this and I hope people catch on. Great selection of beers on tap and unique pizza toppings. Lee is a very helpful and funny bartender :)

Have been visiting York, ME for years and noticed that this place was new when we were hanging out near the shops by the beach. I am so glad we stopped by for pizza and beer because everything was excellent! They have a nice, local beer selection and we tried a few beers from Maine breweries. Loved the vibe of the place(kind of vintage) and the pizza was delicious. You have the option of ordering a whole pizza or just by the slice. We opted for just ordering a slice each so we could select whatever toppings we wanted. The«piece» of thin crust pizza they give you is oversized(more like 2 pieces) and my favorite part of the pizza was the sauce. It had so much flavor. Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and super nice — I believe her name was Jen. She let us know they had just opened 3 days prior(wow)! We are definitely looking forward to going back soon. It’s great that they opened and it’s so convenient if you’re hanging out at the beach to grab a piece of pizza to go too. Thanks for a great experience and lunch!

Arrived in York ME for a vacation. As we are getting our bearings of the area and seeing what’s what my wife and I were hungry but just wanted a bite to eat after the 1.5 hour 40 mile drive from Bean Town on the snails paced I 95 holiday traffic fiasco. So, we were looking at menus and decided the thin crust NY pizza looked good. The hostess was fantastic! She was full of great information and very friendly. We sat on the patio by her station. She recommended places for us to try. The server was also great. She recommended a great Maine craft beer called Lunch. It was super. Our slices were wonderful. Will definitely go back.
