Was sat in a table only to be told the section we are sat in was closed. We had several kids so once they were sat it’s inconvenient to get them back up and moved. Food was fine, service was poor. Waitress goofed up the order so food was sent back. She returned with the corrected order 20 min later. The rest of the table was finished eating already. No attempt to make it right. Lack of management presence. Update — management did promptly contact me after the initial review, I do appreciate the concern and attempt to correct things.

Great Customer service, bakery is always fresh and food is plentiful. Thank you for staying in our neighborhood.

We have been coming here for breakfast for years, but the last two times have been very disappointing. Yesterday we came for breakfast, were seated immediately, and then the wait began. Servers walked by our table several times, nobody made eye contact, and my coffee was never refilled. When our breakfast finally came, 40 minutes after we were seated, my husband and I were literally a minute from leaving a five dollar bill on the table and walking out. Our server noticed my empty cup and had another server fill it. Perhaps the management has changed, but not for the better. Now I know why there is a line out the door at the Original Pancake House, and not here, which is why we came yesterday. Never again, you have lost our future business.

Went here around lunchtime today with my aunt. The service was so great! Everyone was very friendly, out server was Alberto I think that was his name. He went way above and beyond, my aunt was very happy. Thought they were only serving lunch but we asked if they were serving breakfast and they were. I had the buttermilk pancakes eggs and sausage. It was spectacular! I’ve never had breakfast here before and now I would highly recommend it. Overall great service and great food!

Good old fashioned home style cooking. Polly burger and Polly melt are two comfort foods here. Paramount though are the PIES! The sweet yet tart Old World Cherry pie is hands down my favorite pie from any restaurant. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re in for an absolute treat! My mom and her friends all love coming here which is how I became familiar with this location. I wish this Polly’s had a player piano like the one in Fullerton used to when I was a kid. Decent sized wrap around parking lot and two entrance /exit doors for when it gets crowded(which it was today when I stopped by during my lunch break for a slice of pie). They also sell canisters of Republic of Tea here which are an excellent indulgence or gift idea!

What is Going On? Been there many times over the years, but the last couple times I have been there… organized chaos. Waitresses who don’t listen and just chat, orders sent to wrong table, and worse of all no one in the front working. You walk in… no one around so you and 5 other parties stand around waiting for someone to appear. You go to pay your check … and don’t you know it. the person behind the counter walks away from the counter as you are waiting to pay. ??? What is going on? Management… Get your act together! Staying away for awhile and hoping it will turn around… Listening Mangement???

We decided to try our local Polly’s again because we’ve always enjoyed the chicken salad and tuna salad sandwiches. This time when we entered, we were warmly greeted and our names placed on a waiting list. We were informed the wait would be 5 – 10 minutes, it was around 7 ½. Once seated, our waitress made it to our table in under 3 minutes and our order was taken and delivered about 12 minutes later. Our original review of this business wasn’t entirely about the slow service, which was consistently agonizing before now on all of our visits, but mostly about the attitudes of the waitstaff. Today’s greeter and waitress made this visit much more enjoyable. This lunch meal was a much better experience and we’ll continue to patronize this local restaurant.

My review is only for breakfast. Augie is an amazing server. I drink about 38383 cups of coffee a day, and somehow I think he sensed that. Polly’s coffee owns anything a Seattle native has ever had. Smooth, creamy, heck you don’t even need cream or sugar. Augie pours me at least 5 cups for my breakfast. I am generally there all of 40 minutes. My loves: Biscuits and Gravy– remember the sausage gravy your southern grandma used to make? Well, even if you don’t have a southern grandma or have ever had biscuits and gravy these will make you smile. Biscuits and sausage gravy all from scratch. Huge portion and is a side which comes with your breakfast entrée. I order the early riser which is about $ 7 on weekdays. This includes the coffee! Potato pancakes– the best besides the German restaurant I go to in Anaheim. But forget the hash browns ask for the PP. Bomb… Turkey Sausage-two giant pattys very good not too salty. Cinnamon roll– omg where do I begin? Massive, size of a small baby, warmed with tons of frosting. Don’t settle for anything less than the BEST. Only con, Ughs so if your order scrambled eggs, you have to request REAL eggs. Or else they will give you those funky fake eggs. If you like sunny side up etc. You will get real eggs regardless. Just those of you who get scrambled, buyer beware!

Four of us had lunch there the day after Thanksgiving. The restaurant was not busy– we ordered burgers and salads. 45 minutes after being seated our waitress stopped by and said«your order is coming soon. The meat for the burgers is thick and is taking longer to cook.»(She honestly said that!) When our food did arrive, the quality was far less that you’d get at Chili’s or Red Robin or other chain. The Parmesan sourdough bread on my burger turned out to be brushed in margarine then burned black. Waitress put a Reuben sandwich in front of my Wife & walked away. Called out to waitress & told her that my Wife had ordered a burger. She took it away, and likely gave it to someone else– even after she lost sight of it our table. We asked three times for a wet towel to wipe sticky stuff off the table. A busboy finally arrived with one well into our meal. Last, the restaurant could really use a deep cleaning. Crumbs that you can see under the glass tabletops. Walls and booths that are dirty. I’ll continue to visit Polly’s at other locations, but likely never again in Yorba Linda.

Went in this morning for breakfast. Stood at the pie counter for a good 5 minutes while the greeter called names and sat guests. He walks back after seating a few parties and says do you need help. «Yes 2 for breakfast» name … 5 minute wait. Ok it was more like 2 minutes. Breakfast was good. Went to pay manager was at register he says«have you been helped»? Well no I have money in my hand that should have been your first clue. Secondly he never made eye contact. You should have at least done that! Mr no personality!

Came here today for breakfast. Limited menus since it is Thanksgiving. Ordered the spinach scramble with blueberry muffin and hubby got the cheesy scramble with cinnamon roll. Seems like the egg dishes were pre cooked from somewhere because each of us got a scoop full of eggs. When you ask for blueberry muffin, you would think you will get muffin filled with blueberries. But at Polly’s, that is not the case. The blueberry muffin that I got was mostly cake and 2 to 3 blueberries. Service was ok. For $ 14 for spinach scramble with coffee, you think you will get better food. Now we know not to come here for breakfast during the Christmas season.

Went late on Thanksgiving morning to pick up some pies last minute. I didn’t pre-order any pies and supply/selection was quite limited and scarce as they were quickly running out. I asked for Banana Cream, Banberry, and Chocolate Silk… all of which they were out of. Jordan was helping me and he was awesome! He was so patient with me and somehow worked his magic and I ended up with all 3 pies within 10 minutes!!! Awesome service(and pies)!

I’m not sure if it’s just this location in particular but the service is always pathetically slow. We’ve been here at least 10+ times. It’s close to our house and we enjoy the food. We usually get seated quickly and we can get an order in quickly. But it takes for ever for the food to come out of the kitchen. When you have little kids and you’re waiting at least 20 to 30 minutes for your dinner that is just too long. I’ve almost gone here for dinner the past few weeks and I’ve decided against it. The service is just so poor that I won’t return.

We like Polly’s food, but every time we come in we are never greeted and stand around before even being acknowledge. This time the host told us they had no clean knifes so do you still want to be seated. REALLY!!! management needs to work on hospitality upfront.

4 stars on the pies 2 stars on the food. Average 3 stars. The staff is great and the cinnamon rolls are huge and tasty. Eggs Benedict were average for a country style restaurant. Big flap of steak Ham instead of the Canadian bacon used. Hollandaise sauce tasted decent, like grocery store mass produced sauces. Eggs are cooked inconsistently but not badly made. Half cooked yolk on one and perfectly runny yolk on another. All other items are good. Portions are big. Pies are great. Great place to get a down and dirty breakfast when you want a good desert to follow.

Polly, can we get this right!!! I was assured that the issue with your food would be remedied so we came back to give it another chance. No good! My children’s burger came out pink throughout making it medium cooked. My, my, Polly’s. At least cook the kids meals right. We are now waiting for a kids meal after everyone has eaten again. Star upped due to service.

Server was all smiles but not so helpful. We repeatedly had to request drink refills though she looked at us while walking by our table. Salads were served with crumbs of croutons. If you’re out, leave them off because crumbs on my salad is kind of annoying. The fries with my sandwich were cold and not a very generous portion. For $ 11.99 I expected more. At least grandma’s modified order came out alright. Since we eat faster than grandma she was still munching down while we were done so the server cleared the plates and left the bill. Really? Does it look like we’re anywhere near ready to go? Grams still had 75% of her meal on her plate. That’s super annoying. Next time we go to Pollys, it will be the original in Fullerton. The extra drive is worth it.

Probably the best Polly’s location i’ve visited thus far! I dined in around 8pm with my boyfriend, and we ordered what’s pictured(refer to photos) The food was made DELICIOUSLY! Pancakes were on point with perfectly crisp edges!!! Chili was smothered in cheese, dinner rolls arrived warm, butter nicely whipped! Polly palmer also on point! and great service! will be revisiting!
