Nice clean well stocked store with friendly people that are willing to help you.

Have to preface this by saying I’ve always been a fan of Stater Bros but after today I can’t imagine shopping any where else! Of course today is busy; day before Thanksgiving but they were ready. Clerks everywhere! Stocking, cleaning, directing lines, plenty of cashiers and baggers assisting every where they could! I LOVE that they have reinstituted unloading your cart at checkout! Let’s face it, loading and unloading the cart, then loading and unloading the car, then unloading the bags and putting it all away makes shopping a chore. When they take some of that off the plate it makes a big difference!

I’m just going to get straight to the point… Fried chicken is disgusting, there is never more than 2 cashiers, and the lines gets abysmal, meat department staff is unfriendly, and The biggest negative about Stater Brothers is they advertise the low prices only with their coupons or online! To me it’s almost like a bait and switch. I go to the Albertson’s down the street, they don’t play any guessing games on price. You just get your items, check out fast, and you’re on the way!

This is one of my favorite Stater Brother’s, it’s extremely clean and has a bigger selection of everything! The deli has tons of pasta salads to choose from among other goodies, they also have an awesome selection of prepackaged goodies that are ready to eat,(sandwiches, soups, etc.) It also has a hot soup bar, I’ve tried the chicken noodle soup and personally didn’t like it. It lacked major seasoning and had a mushy texture. The staff at the deli is very nice and accommodating, they greet you properly and are more than happy to help you if your indecisive like me LOL. The veggie department has a bit more selection and offers the refrigerated juices and smoothies like Naked and Bolthouse farms. When it comes to price point, I still feel like I’m getting ripped off, 10 things will end up costing me almost 50 bucks! Call me cheap, etc but I’m used to shopping at Walmart and getting my money’s worth. Every Tuesday I religiously look through the paper ads and mostly come in for items that are marked on sale. It’s still my favorite locations so I’m a happy camper ^___^

This review is for a really awesome grocery bag boy. I just underwent surgery and have been at home for days for recovery. I wanted to get out from my room since I was in bed all day. My fiancé took me out and I got on the scooter. I admit, being young and on the scooter made me feel a bit embarrassing. We got our groceries and rolled up and paid not noticing how much grocery we accumulated. The bag boy was so kind to offer us help to bring our bags to the car since I couldn’t carry much. You don’t meet people like him too often. I wish I had my glasses on to see his name tag. But he was bag boy with Nathan B(got it from the receipt) on a Monday night at 8:30. He makes me appreciate shopping at this stater bro locations.

Yikes! Do not shop in this store’s deli dept! The manager Evette trains her people to just add 2 – 3 days to items that are about to go bad! I bought rotten cheese and got told twice they could not do anything! BEWARE!!!

Pretty nice supermarket. Things are pretty cheap and there is a lot of things to get. Basically a normal supermarket like ralphs or vons. But it is actually cheaper than both of those places. I just got some chips here lol

Okay sometimes this place is a hit or miss. Same with the service. Some more senior clerks seem to be grouchy and snobby. There’s a few ppl that will always smile and truly enjoy helping others. Today I’m giving them a 4 star for having the best deals on steaks. There’s been a couple occasion where the meat starts looking old but no problem! Choose a different pack or just walk away. I happen to know what to look for so I always walk away with a steal! Ribeye at 5.99 a pound is awesome!

I really like this stater bros. There is nothing wrong with it at all. The staff is great, there are great deals on almost everything, and the place is clean and it is easy to find what you need. This place is a great place to shop if you live near here.

I like going to this Stater Bros. because it has everything a bakery, deli, flower shop, meat department, seafood, they even have a bank(Wels Fargo) and the restrooms are located in the front of the store not in back. I have also used the bakery here at this store and although the item that I purchased was small, I was treated as if made a large purchase and was provided with great service.

I LIKE this Stater Bros! This is as good as an Albertsons, but with much better deals. Clean and friendly customer service. I’ll be back.

I only go here when I have to, like today, but I’ve never been to a store in which the checkers care less.

Good show, Placentia Stater, on working your butts off to get your service back to its original five-star quality. Our shopping experience this afternoon was terrific, thanks in good part to the helpful, hard-working and pleasant cashier-bagger team. And how great is it for Stater to re-do its 25 cent-per-pound sale on watermelon, and for us to purchase a gorgeous 17 ¼-pound specimen for a mere $ 4.32? Granted, a shopper completely oblivious to her rudeness kept pushing her cart into my side in the checkout line, but I can’t put that gaffe onto the Placentia Stater team. I did, however, tell my husband how unthinkingly rude some people can be, all the while delivering Ms. Pushy a few stink-eyes …

This Stater Bros is a good store to buy groceries cheaper than the others in the area. My girlfriend and I visit 1 – 2 times a week spending almost 100 dollars each visit. Why the 1 star rating? Very Poor Customer Service! I am leaning towards non-existent Customer Service judging from my experience earlier. A little bit of my background, I have 14 years of Customer service experience protecting valuable possessions and I treat my clients with top notch Customer Service everyday. But at check out earlier at this store, there were no lines at this cash register. The younger female cashier had her back against us talking to the other female bagger while the girlfriend and I unloaded items. After we were done, the two continued with their conversation completely ignoring that there are customers waiting to be checked out. We felt like we were interrupting their very important conversation. Finally grabbed their attention and the female cashier with what appears to be caked on make up, reminds me of the girls who used to work in a Victorian era French Brothel, did not greet us nor made eye contact. She already broke the number rule of Customer Service and from my experience that is a disciplinary action. This is not the first time we have experienced such a rude unprofessional behavior mainly from ALL younger female cashiers. There was even an instance where a young female cashier was picking her teeth while I was next in line to check out. That is disgusting. The only 2 good experiences besides the low prices is with 1 older female cashier named Rebecca which is why there’s a star instead of none. She always has a smile and she is very nice who cateres to us customers. From now on we will only go to her or look if she works that day. If not we will spend our money at other grocery stores.

I stopped in here to do some power grocery shopping. I had just moved back to the area and I needed to stock up my pantry. I went in because the shopping center has curb appeal. I walked into the store and noted that it looked new and well-maintained. As with any new store, there is a learning curve connected to finding your way around and locating items. So, I needed a little help. This is where the story gets scary. Asking for help in this story was a terrible experience. It’s hard for me to say whether the people who work here are best described as rude or indifferent. Perhaps it’s a combination of the two. I was not treated as a ‘valued customer.‘ Many of the items on the shelves were out of stock. On two separate occasions, there were two or more staff members standing in the aisles holding conversations. When I asked for help, I was given the impression that it was an extreme hardship on them to break away from their personal time and help me. One answer I received was basically«If you don’t see it, we are out. there’s no need to look in the back.» The checkout process was not much better. I had a couple of questions there which were met with«I don’t know» and there was no attempt made to investigate or call someone else who might know. The overall experience was negative. This place is definitely scratched off of my list for grocery stores. There’s a Trader Joe’s just down the road where the people always seem to be happy and at the very least, they are polite.

Very clean and decent sized Stater Bros. Just bought me here some cases of Stater Bros. drinking water @ $ 2.99 a case, it is the cheapest you can find here in cases of drinking bottled water(purified). They even have a case of mountain drinking water for a buck more. Don’t forget your paying about another dollar more on CRV when you buy them in cases. It was disappointing though that they didn’t have any of the special Lay’s Flavor potato chips like the Sriracha, Chicken and Waffles and the hard to find Cheesy Bread Stick flavor, I am in search for these. This grocery store gets a good amount of stars for its good location, organization and spacious parking. It is within the vicinity of corporate areas.

This review is for the baked chicken sold by the deli here. I went to a party for a friend yesterday and wanted to take some chicken and potato salad. Many Stater Bros currently have a special for 24 pieces of baked or fried chicken plus 3 pounds of potato salad for $ 18.99. I called at 11:00 am requesting a 1:30 pm pickup. No problem. I chose the baked chicken. The chicken offered by many Stater Bros markets is generally a weak«OK», and sometimes the pieces are sadly small and overseasoned or overcooked. When I got my chicken, though, I was truly shocked. The pieces were all large, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I have been shopping Stater Bros for years, and this was BYFAR the best prepared chicken I have ever gotten from one of their stores. This store isn’t the nearest Stater Bros for me, but for this kind of quality I’ll drive the extra miles. By the way, for my potato salad I got the Deviled Egg Potato Salad. It’s really great, and was quickly gobbled up at the party!

As much as I like Stater Bros, this is one location that I just do not seem to like as much as the others. However it has everything that is needed to be a great store including the fact that it is larger than average sized Stater Bros. It is even fairly clean. They have the same great pricing as the rest of the Stater Bros. The broken packaging pricing was very high here, unlike several other stores. This location has a Wells Fargo Bank branch in it. So this makes it handy if you bank with WF&Co. They also have a couple of ATMs. The produce here is hit and miss from my past experience. Not always the best, but overall it’s been acceptable. They have a lot more shelf space in this location; consequently they have more flavors and a larger selection of various foods than many other Stater Bros locations. However the customer service at this location doesn’t seem to be on par with some of the other locations. I can’t pinpoint it exactly, it’s just the overall ambience and feeling I have had with this location. I am sure you will find it totally acceptable and a fun place to shop. It just wasn’t for me for whatever reason…

The Stater Bros. CHAIN, in general, is a great place to shop for groceries. They always have great sales for all your grocery needs and friendly staff members. I particularly love this Stater Bros. location because of the friendly staff. The check-out employee always greets me and makes small talk. When I buy cases of water or lots of bottled drinks, I’ve also been asked if I want help to my car(which I usually decline but it’s nice to be asked). This Staters also seems cleaner than the other ones I’ve been to. The design and layout is pretty much the same as other locations but this location just seems a lot tidier and more organized. The shelves are always fully stocked and nothings ever empty/bare. One big positive comment I have for this Staters is for the extra helpful meat department/butchery(on more than 1 occasion, I might add) A while back, I was trying out a new recipe that contained«liquid smoke». I had never heard of that ingredient before and had no clue where to find it. When I went to get the meat for the recipe, I asked the young guy at the counter. He didn’t know what that was either BUT he did go and find an answer for me. He asked 2 other guys and they told me EXACTLY where and even WHICHSHELF I’d find it. On another trip to the meat department, I requested for a small cut of meat than what they had in the counter. The butcher did it for me right away and even cut off all the fat before wrapping it up. So in conclusion… I come here often because of the: great weekly sales(get a copy of the sales ad in the mail or by the door when you walk in), friendly staff, cleanliness, and the fully stocked shelves!
