Not the best place for a BBQ but it does fill the niche for lunch. My pulled pork sandwich was stuff with meat. They could have used a little less BBQ sauce. Strange as it may seem, I am not big on the sauce with my BBQ. Also, how come no cole slaw? Pulled pork and cole slaw is a nice pairing. Next time I’m trying their burgers and fries.

Took a shot at this place having chosen it by random BBq places as we ain’t from around these parts as the locals say. Everything is hand made. They pride themselves on their BBq sauce. Their BBq isn’t smoked like you might expect, but boy their sauce sure is saucy and makes up for it(just a little) Had the BBq Pulled Pork and it was yummy and moist with a good helping of that sauce. The boy had the Double JR Bacon Cheese burger which was massive for an 8 year old. Despite the size(4 times bigger then a McDonald’s cheese burger) the boy finished every last bite(to my sadness cuz it looked so good) Food was better than expected. Not the Best BBq around, but worth a stop and a bite. Can’t beat the prices.

First off it is open Sundays, unfortunately, bacon lariat-worst burger I’ve ever had! That takes a lot for me to say. Lady who took my order coughed all over took my card didn’t clean her hands, worst burger ever! I would rate it a big 0stars.

Based on the reviews I went for the double cheeseburger which I enjoyed very much. It was huge, and tasty. They put a relish on it that is a touch on the sweet side(or there was miracle whip instead of mayo) which is usually not my thing, but it hit the spot anyway. Barbecue? Not so much. No smoke, no pit, no thank you. Get a burger.

This place was bad when I was growing up in Yakima. I’ve returned years later and — guess what?– it’s still bad. The sauce on the pulled pork was not spicy enough and the bread was gloppy.

Good food, especially the bbq pork sandwich. They now sell the original«Kemper» burger, for those of you that remember Kemper’s Drive-in. No indoor seating, take-out only.

This is a fun drive thru. Nostalgic little spot where you can park next door and walk up to the window to order. The staff has always been friendly. The first visit they let me know people come for the BBQ pork sandwich. This is a big sandwich. The pork is tender and juicy. The BBQ sauce is tangy but not too much heat or zest. It would be a fantastic sandwich if it had a little better BBQ sauce.

The double Lariat cheese burger is pretty darn good and yes it’s pretty huge. I wasn’t a fan of the fries though, they were thin and bland. If you took the burgers here and combined them with the fries from Majors you’d really have something.

As you cruise down Yakima Avenue trying to find some grub not of the Olive Garden variety, you’ll see a sign that seems better fitting for a boot store in Vegas. It’s a drive-in/walk-up sitch, so unless you’re used to the climate(Yakima seems to have two temperatures: sweaty and freezing) you’d be best taking food elsewhere. Standard BBQ/Burger stand fare at very reasonable prices. Oh. And. Cheeseburgers the size of your head.
