I went to price rite on 03÷08÷15 and the lines was long and it is a Sunday I get it but the store is filthy there is dost on every shelf the floor looks like hell it is discussing and The soda machines are dusty even the credit card machine is dusty I would not keep my home like this and I was shocked a grocery store like this bad I will not return and you have to pay for your own bags and bag them some times quality is more important than saving a dollar

Smells like an ethnic food store, and not the good kind. There’s no shelving, it’s laid out like a warehouse store. The prices are low, but it also attracts people who aren’t so bright. Customer service is nonexistant, the employees are rude, and 9 times out of 10, you’re stuck in line behind some old woman who doesn’t speak any English or doesn’t understand why she can’t pay for her toilet paper with food stamps because she doesn’t speak English. It’s a ghetto supermarket.

I found myself in the historic New England city of Worcester for some work and I had some time to kill. I passed this Price Rite and decided to stop and check it out. I am glad I did. Grocery shopping, with a new concept. Its bag your own and bring your own bags, which I do anyways. Clean, squeaky clean, and new, this place is not a huge SUPERMARKET but a smaller version. Prices here, low to very low, some prices I have not seen for a very long time. Examples: 6 limes for $ 1.00.(Market Basket has them 2/$ 1.00 last week) 1 lb salt =33 cents 1 gallon white vinegar=1.89 Goya beans= .66 cents a can. Baking soda @ .49 cents Many Latin /ethnic grocery staples found here. Again a different concept but I like it and will to bag it myself for lower prices. Really nothing high quality, organic, or Gourmet, but WTF, who cares, its PriceRite.

So, I’ve never been in a Price Rite before but when I saw that a brand-spanking new one opened up on Southbridge Street — I was intrigued. The produce is cheaper than a farmer’s market. Bag of Dole salad for a whopping 50 cents? 2 huge cucumbers for $ 1.29? YES! I have noticed that the produce isn’t as «pretty» as the items you find at a Star Market, or Shop n Save but I could care less. Cukes with blemishes get peeled anyway. It was so nice to buy a huge bag of veggies and only spend $ 6. We were set for the week! The meat selection is small but well priced. Cans of Goya beans were all 66 cents — cheaper than Walmart(fyi). Economy bags of rice, large selection of spices, and even a toiletry aisle. I didn’t get to see everything but workers that I encountered were polite & helpful. Since the store is new — it’s still all clean and shiny inside. Tips for shopping here: Bring bags!!! Come early in the day — not a great area at night IMHO. No Coupons are honored. Great place to make your food dollar ssstretchhhhhh.
