I just found out from the prosecuting attorney that the owner of this company didn’t even know the employees name that he sent to our house to unload our belongings! We spent close to $ 6000 on our move and to have my wedding ring stolen and the company not to even offer any money back to us for restitution. My husband is a CFO for a large company in Woodbridge, VA and he will be sure to pass this information along.

BEWARE! Wish I had the option of giving zero starts. We had an awful experience with regency moving. They damaged 20 pieces of furniture and made over 30 holes in the hardwood floor. The floors were resanded in our new house the week prior to us moving. We did use them for storage for a month while we had some work done to our new house. Half of our furniture was delivered to the new house unwrapped and not taken care of. Stay far away from this company. They do not return phone calls and have delayed submitting insurance claims for 2 months. Insurance company denied claim saying that it took to long for company to submit claim. Stay far away from this company. The owner Cliff lies, cheats and hires untrustworthy individuals. If you do use them and a man named Jose is the one in charge you are bound to have tremendous damage to your furniture.

My husband who is very low key & been in the military for 26 years(= many moves) fired them within one hour. He has never done that ever! They didn’t wrap the piano in blankets as I was told they would do & they hit the side of the moving van with the piano. My husband saw the whole thing. The crew chief just shrugged & offered no apology. I will admit I wasn’t polite about the incident.

Bait and switch… Do not trust the estimate. They charged us over 1000 dollars more than the original quote. We purchased the insurance and it was a joke. They damaged our property and completely hosed us. They tout that they are family owned and the same people will load and unload you… Yep family owned if its the mob. What a racket. They do have the same people unload you minus the 4 people that loaded the truck. Do not trust this company.

We hired Regency Moving and Storage Company(from Woodbridge VA) to pack and move our things from our old residence into our new residence. They charge by the hour and my complaint revolves around the fact that the Regency workers(packers) inflated their hours and therefore over charged me. Below are some examples of how the Regency packers inflated their work hours. 1) The packers empted unnecessary file cabinets(4) and wrapped /packed all the items into boxes, * Note that during the visit when they gave me my estimate, they specifically stated that I did not need to empty out cabinets and dressers. 2) They wrapped unnecessary items such as aspirin bottles, magnets, pens, individual shoes, etc. 3) They ended up charging me for the .5 hour they spent eating the lunch I had bought for them. Although I had signed off on their time sheet, I was not aware of the inflation of time until I started unpacking my items at the new house. It was very apparent that the packers were wrapping and packing unnecessary items to increase the total hours worked. Although I confronted the manager(Cliff) about this issue, he stated that he would not give me a refund nor would he apologize for the misrepresentation. With packing and moving my invoice came out to be over $ 3000 and yet he would not give me any credit(not even $ 100) towards the false and unsatisfactory work of his packers. NO customer service(yet they advertise that they care about customer satisfaction). If you don’t want a headache during or after your move, do not hire these people.
