I’ve eaten here 4 or 5 times since they opened — and I’ve waited until now to finally post a review. Given it’s local I REALLY want this place to rock, but they don’t. At it’s best it is maybe ok, but could be so much better. The service is really hit or miss. The second time I was there I had their ribs, and they were the driest ribs I’ve ever had in my entire life. They took back the ribs and gave me something else, but not without a bad attitude — and a visit from a manger or owner who asked me what the issue was, said he REALLY wanted me to be happy, but then instead of listening to my complaint, argued with me that the ribs were dry and not at all tasty. Who argues with a customer who doesn’t like his/her food? The ingredients don’t seem the least bit fresh — if they ARE buying fresh ingredients the prep kills any freshness. The atmosphere is their best asset, it’s a fun place and they keep it loud and fun — which fits in the area quite well. The owners need to listen to their customers more, work more on their food quality, and they need to work on their food being consistently good. One day you’ll have an item and it’s just fine(not great — just OK), then a few days later it’ll be horrible. This is the biggest complaint that folks in the area seem to share, that they’re just not consistent. I’m going to keep trying these guys, they’re a local business and I **REALLY** want them to be awesome. If/when they improve I’ll absolutely update this review.

My friend loves this place and told me how amazing the fish and chips were so I agreed to meet her here for dinner. I’m not sure what exactly she loves but to each his own. It’s Friday night and they are a little busy so I’ll give them that, but the service was pretty bad. We were sat right away and the girl said she’d also be our server and would be right back to get our drink order. 10 minutes goes by and another girl asked if we’ve been helped. We said no so she took our drink orders for us. Another 10 minutes goes by and she comes back with ½ our drinks. My friends is wrong and she didn’t bring water. Friend sucks it up and drinks it as is and we wait another 5 minutes for water. At this point we place our order. The manager(or someone else not in a uniform) brings our orders, which we both got the fish and chips. He asks if we want malt vinegar, yes, and brings us some a minute later. Now I’m very glad that it’s a new bottle and it hasn’t been open for God only knows how long, but they didn’t even take the wrapper off of it. There weren’t any serrated edges or easy peel areas and I struggled with it. Another waitress walked by and she laughed and said that she hated those things, they were so hard to open. Why would you give that to a guest? Weird. No worries though. I got it open and all was well. I tried to flag our waitress down a few times, but she would never look at our way, so I eventually flagged down anybody who walked by to see if they could grab some tartar sauce for my friend. The person was not very happy to help us since we were not her table but she must have relayed the message to our waitress because a few minutes later she showed up with two things of tartar sauce. She never asked how everything was or if we needed anything and only stopped if we were staying to flag her down. The food was not that great. That’s not fair, let me take that back. The french fries and coleslaw were both good. They were not anything special or homemade, they were frozen french fries and prepackaged coleslaw, but they tasted good. The fish, however, was god-awful. One piece was hard as a rock and I had to cut it with a knife. It was very tough to chew and it almost seemed like I was given dry chicken instead of fish. The second piece was tender and flaky in the middle but hard and dry around the edges like the other piece. Also, both pieces were tiny. The bigger piece was the size of a playing card and the smaller the size of a business card. After dinner we moved outside because there was a band playing inside that was decent, but it was obscenely loud and we could hear a word the other was saying, even when screaming. My first drink was a special of the evening — cucumber lime mojito. It was so so — it tasted more like flat Sprite with cucumber in it than anything else, but I nursed it and eventually finished it. For my second drink I asked for a Margarita on the rocks, but that was a complete disaster. It was pure sour mix and nothing else. It was awful. I wasn’t going to say anything or send it back because it wasn’t that big of a deal, but my friend said something for me and they remade it. Your second one was a little bit better but still very heavy on the sour. They messed up each of my friends drinks but she never said anything so they never fixed them. I don’t know if it was the food or the sour drinks but something made me super sick. Like suuuuuuuuper sick. Within an hour of eating. While still at the restaurant. Needless to say that after poor service, not great food, not great drinks, and getting sick a few times, I will not be back. (I have no idea why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. Perhaps because of the company? Perhaps because I want them to get better bc there aren’t many neighborhood places? Not sure…)

This is the closest restaurant to our home, so I really wanted to like it, but the service and food were poor to average. We were left by the host for 10 minutes without being able to order even though the place was nearly empty. Had to go find a server to take our order. Daughter’s cheese steak was ok; my fish and chips were tiny(despite menu advertising a «large» portion of fish) and probably the worst fried fish I’ve had outside an amusement park. Won’t be going back, even though I can walk there from our home.

Good as McDonald’s which I argue is horrible, but 3x the price. The service was not good and on a Saturday night there were very few people there. Our server forgot about us and after deciding to order we waited ten minutes before my dad got up to go look for him. He was no where to be found. Ten minutes later he came to take our order. Horrible food, high prices for such a bad restaurant and horrible service. Plus anything lobster was not available though it was on the menu because the price went up. Fries were bland. My dad got the fish and chips described as a large portion of cod with fries on the menu. There were two tiny strips of fish. My philly cheese steak was bland.

First time visit to this place. I was looking for something new that had outside seating since the weather is gorgeous. Found this on Unilocal and glad I did! When we first got there some guy was outside and we just assumed it was a bar patron. Turned out to be the owner! He seemed really laid back. My husband had the lobster bisque and he was in heaven. I had a half order of the Homemade Potato Chips(and that was plenty) and Margarita flatbread. They were both delicious and I have leftovers. I’m glad we found this place and will definitely be back. Probably try a Friday night for a live band or Wednesdays for their burgers.

My daughter and I came for dinner tonight and we’re completely disapointed. First, we were greeted and sat down by either the cook or the maintenance man, not sure which one. Then our waitress is just clocking in for the evening so she was running a little behind. Not her fault, just laying out our experience so far. She takes our order, which was the Devin burger, medium well and their famous new England lobster roll which is supposed to come with mayo. It takes at least 30 minutes for our order to arrive. When it does, my burger was cooked medium rare at best and the fries were old, like they have been sitting out. The lobster roll, while piled with alot of meat, was just piled inside a dry hoagie bun, no dressing at all, fries again were old. I told the waitress we weren’t happy with the food, which she offered to take back, but at that point we weren’t willing to give the cook/maintenance man another shot at our food. The waitress was kind enough to void the bill and we left. We will not be returning.

Terrible servers and food is about 2 steps below ale house. All frozen Cisco crap prepared poorly. Surprised they have 2 locations, I would give this place another 3months, but the fact that someone invested in 2 of these places makes me think they’ll stay open longer.

I expected bar food but I’d rather go to a McDonald’s than eat what they are serving here. Rattlesnake Pasta says it is chicken pasta Cajun style, we’ll it has the right name and not in a good way, as it tasted like it was real snake. Never have I had such bad prices of chicken that were rubbery and tough. I started with the lobster bisque. Full of fake lobster chunks, tasted okay for bar food but all that fake lobster ruined it. Live music on Friday is insufferable. The band just plays the same repeating tune over and over again forever and every song sounded the same. Couple of old folks jamming it out. 70’s style crap music and it was too loud. I like loud music when it’s good music. After two bites I actually walked out… My wife stayed and covered the bill.

I visited this restaurant the first month they were open and had a less than desirable experience. after many people telling me I should give it another shot, yesterday for lunch I took my family there, my wife and three kids. My wife had an amazing salad and I had an amazing thick and juicy cheeseburger. It was probably the best that I’ve had in years and the kids ate all their food which is rare. the service was excellent with Gabe. I’m glad I went back.

We are still going to Mikki V’s 1 – 2 times a week. This is our favorite local spot. Burgers are always cooked to order and we’ve never been disappointed. HH is great! Our favorite time of day. Owners and the manager(Brian) are a lot of fun to talk to and considering how busy it can be the food is hot and yummy 95% of the time. Keep it up!

Reader’s Digest Version Tea– Colored Water Side Salad– Colorful Blend of Fresh Veggies Lobster Roll– Lobster was«ok»… served on cheap hot dog bun ?? Parm Encrusted Chicken– Strangest thing I have ever seen… well prepared chicken dunked in a mixture of pasta that sits in a bowl with approximately ½ inch of water/butter that not only tastes odd, but kills the texture of the chicken. The bread served with this entrée was very tasteful… probably should be considered as a replacement for the hot dog bun on the lobster roll. Wait staff needs more training. First Visit– Probably Last Visit !

Horrible. Selection. Taste… Just bar food not even at its best. So tired of winter springs restaurants not in for quality. Frozen stuff. Fries suck. Tequila Limes is the only one in area that puts anything into the menu with substance.

I’ve been going to MikkiV’s for a while now and it’s one of the best restaurants in town! Great food, great staff… always making us feel at home! The owners are always on hand and so personal! I’ve also been to a few fundraisers that they have catered and have always enjoyed the food! I always look forward to my GNO on Tuesdays and any other time I’m able to stop in to MikkiV’s!

Best local dining ever. Great food and family atmosphere. Reminds me of an old neighborhood restaurant. When you walk in, they know you. They know what your favorite drink and food choices are. Great fun menu with tons to choose from. Love all the servers, they’re like family! They offer craft beer(flights) and the cool part is they also offer soda flights for the kids. Also a full top shelf bar. Personally I feel they have the best burgers & wings locally. We support all our local businesses and highly recommend dining there.

When Mikki V’s first opened I really liked it: a good neighborhood place with very good food and decent service. However, the last few times we’ve been there we’ve been disappointed. Cleanliness and food quality are slipping. Today we were handed menus that were sticky, dirty, and beat up. Not a great first impression when you sit down to eat. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It tasted like the pork had been reheated. The last time we went I ordered a burger, and the meat tasted as though it had been sitting around a bit too long. My wife had a wedge salad that was good, but maybe just a bit too much dressing. She also ordered the margherita flat bread that was pretty heavy on the garlic. We really do hope things improve again, because we want it to succeed. But if these issues remain, we’ll have to look elsewhere for good food at a decent price in a casual setting.

So, I took a break from this place for a while, but my friend’s teen had a birthday, so I invited them out for dinner last minute. This place can’t cook burgers to order, unless you like them well-done. We all got bacon cheeseburgers and all ordered them medium. They were all well done. But, there was nothing inedible to them, so we ate. I kept my mouth shut(learning from the last time that complaining gets you nowhere). The onion rings were VERYGOOD. the service was good too. If this was the end of the story, I would have kept my rating at 3 stars(A-OK). Once we left the establishment, we were confronted by one of the owners. And I chose the word«confronted» specifically. He was aggressive and belittling, referencing my last Unilocal rating. I attempted to explain that he isn’t allowing the burger to rest before serving it. As most cooks know, almost all proteins continue to cook after you take them off of the heat source. So, if you want a burger medium, cook it medium-rare and take it off the grill. It will be a perfect medium by the time it is served. well, he didn’t want to hear any of that, making excuses like«what do you want for a $ 5 burger?» and telling me I didn’t know what i was talking about. Well, I know how to cook a burger, little man, and a lot more. Once we were in the van, the three of us could not believe the conduct of this owner. And thinking back, I am certain he was the guy cursing at his staff in the kitchen(see my earlier reviews). We all decided that was our last trip there. Since he obviously checks Unilocal, here’s a little message for you: Get out of the business. You are a stupid, ill-mannered little slug. We don’t want people like you in Winter Springs. This is a nice community. Go back to Philly, or Jersey or Baltimore(whatever metropolitan toilet you crawled out of) and you can talk to your customers any way you want.

A neighborhood joint in the Winter Springs Town Center — mediocre and nothing special. They got some specials during the week like 1 dollar draft on Tuesdays and a $ 5 burger on Wednesday. We had a very enthusiastic server but too bad it took forever for everything. The food was like your normal sport bar grill — wings, burgers/sandwiches, wrap and a few real entrees. — you know the jist. I did tried their lobster roll. The bread was actually pretty toasty but the lobster meat was not the freshest it can be. Tail meat. I got it with sweet potato fries but I never got the sauce. Another item we ordered was the wings with Parmesan garlic. I like that I could see the parm cheese but the actual wings were not seasoned. Then the check took forever — had to get her twice. AOK…

Like C B., the owner also messaged me after my first review, which really means a lot. Not only is he looking at Unilocal,he’s actually responding to what he reads and is making an effort to «make it right,» as he said to me. I went back to Mikki V’s for lunch with a friend last Friday, and the service and food were much, much better. Our server, Joey, I think, was really great. Very attentive and friendly. Food came out quick and was enjoyable. I started with the Lobster Bisque, which had a good amount of lobster meat in it. Good flavor, too. For my entrée, I had the South Beach Kale Salad — which I had eyed on my first trip and been wanting to try since. Greens, orzo, tabboleh with a lemon oregano dressing and topped with panko crusted chicken. Yum! It was fresh and a very generous portion. I went home with left-overs and was pleased with my choice. My friend had the Lobster Roll and a side of Lobster Mac and Cheese. She commented that the Roll was flavorful and filled with meat — not mayo, like some can be. Looked fresh to me. The Mac and Cheese was very large for a side. I can’t even imagine how big the entrée is! I tried the Mac and Cheese and we agreed it was salty. It’s enticing to order, but for the time being, I’d skip it until the recipe is reworked.
