The food was good but the service and atmosphere were lacking. We ordered the beef and the portobello gyros, and the salad and fries sides. They all tasted good but the waitress did not check if we were ok even though we were the only table in the restaurant. The music was very strange — definitely not what you expect in a greek place. The biggest drawback for me though wes the lack of restroom. If you want to wash your hands before you eat, you have to either walk to the nearby gas station or the public restroom.

Finally had a chance to eat at Opa Charlie’s Gyros this week. Now I know what everyone is raving about. My friend and I both had gyros (traditional and chicken). They were flavorful and filling. The watermelon salad is so good I’m going to start making it at home. They were out of the Sweet Potato Fries so we opted for the Greek Fries and they were delicious.
I appreciate the simplicity of the menu. It will be easy for them to execute even during the busiest of times.
We need more affordable/​quality dining options in Winter Park and Opa’s fills the niche perfectly. I’ll be back and I’ll be sure to bring all my visitors. Way to go!

What a fantastic addition to Winter Park! I have eaten here multiple times and everything has been delicious, fresh and homemade. Amazing choices to date:
Ragin feta dip
Watermelon, feta and mint salad
Lemon chicken soup (their own spin – so good!!)
Lamb and beef gyro
Falafel gyro
Baklava
Not to mention the delicious cocktails made with ouzo and homemade mint lemonade. Yummmmmmm. Now I’m hungry again.

The Greek Salad was huge and oh so good and the best part they didn’t skimp on the meat. The Gyros are huge too! The service was a little slow because they were busy no excuse but hopefully they fix that. My husband’s been there twice now. Just saw people eating those awesome Gyros at the Thursday night music in the park and that seems like a great idea to get some to-​go Gyros. This is just want Winter Park needed.

I visited this place during it’s opening week. It’s a bit of awesome in Winter Park. I happened upon Opa Charlie’s accidentally because the business was that new! I love finding restaurant gems whilst traveling.
All of the flavors were utterly delicious. From the fries to the soup to the lamb burger — the spices and preparation made for a darn fine meal. The presentation was superb.
The staff were smiley and talkative. Service was spectacular. The menu extensive. The atmosphere colorful.
I see this business providing delicious food to tourists and locals for many years to come. I highly recommend stopping by for a delicious meal. You’ll be glad you did.
