My wife and I have stayed at the Kettle for the last 4 years. Don and Lisa do a spectacular job !! Rooms are immaculate, location is spectacular and most of all they are great hosts. We look forward to our stay all year long. Great Bar with Great Craft beers as well! Pick up a tee shirt! You will not be disappointed

A well deserved 5 stars to Lisa and Don and their Copper Kettle Motel. Whenever I am in the Windham area I look forward to stopping by the Lodge for the best wings in the Catskills, a warm cozy fire, exceptional beer selection, and overall a welcoming atmosphere that I look forward to revisiting for years to come. It ALMOST makes me sad to write this review because now everyone will flock to the CKM, but Lisa and Don — you earned it!

First time I came here was with some friends in Feb of 2014. It’s about 5 minutes away from Windham and the perfect spot for apres ski relaxation or just a weekend getaway. I returned in Feb of 2015 to discover that it was almost exactly 1 year to the day I was last there. The experience did not disappoint. If you are hungry, the wings are of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked to be crispy yet tender and come in a variety of their own sauces(Shanghai Garlic will blow your mind) although I’m a traditional Buffalo Wing fan and it doesn’t get much better than this. Their craft beer selection was a pleasant surprise and bountiful. Whether you want to relax by the toasty wood stove or spend the night playing pool or darts, I cannot speak highly enough of this place. The lodge is run by Donnie and Lisa who are the most accommodating, pleasant and fun couple to share a drink with. You don’t come across genuine folk like these so often when you live in the city. If you’re lucky maybe you’ll get a chance to play with the their Basset Hound and two Pointers(Daisy, Duke and Dutch). I think at the very least this will be an annual tradition, however I do plan to be back during the summer to spend some time with nature. Also if you are interested in doing some hunting or fishing, Donnie is a guy you definitely want to talk to. Don’t miss out on this gem.

Been coming here for the last year or so. Favorite place in Windham to grab a beer. Awesome wings and excited to see them expanding the menu to have burritos. Super friendly and a must stop if you are looking for a low key place to relax and enjoy good company.

I am giving this wonderful B&B five stars, not because it is luxurious but because it is does so much with what is is. The rooms are an ok size but they are immaculately clean, big star up. The soaps are high quality and beautiful. The shower curtain is exotic and the blankets are very high quality. The proprietors are warm and friendly you immediately know you’ve found the right spot and you feel lucky to have made the choice when all you have is Unilocal and intuition. Another star up. I don’t play pool or darts but after dinner decided to stop into the main place to find out more about the area. We had a great time inside and I even won a game of pool. I look forward to visiting this nice place with a wonderful family, a serene setting(summer) and just the right everything else. Thank you so much for your place. Another star up. Bing bing bing bing bing. Five stars.

This place is a gem. Lisa and Don are wonderful hosts and have built the Copper Kettle into a lovely New York hideaway. Be sure to try the wings(they’re amazing), sample some of the great beers they keep stocked at the bar and relax by the fire after a long day on the slopes. Thanks guys, we will certainly be back!

Very Unique and Lots of Character. Note: This is a review for the bar only. We did not stay in any of the rooms at this location. As advertized the bar has a great selection of craft beers and wine. The beers are mostly bottled, and there is Guinness and Palm on tap, when we were there. The bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable on all the beer and wine. The bar and décor are definitely dated, which only lends to its uniqueness and character. They were pumping in good tunes the whole time we were there. Add in the pool table and dart board, and you’re all set for a great night. They don’t serve any food at the bar, but they encourage you to bring your own, or call in take out. This only adds to the uniqueness and character.

We were in the area in need of a last minute room, and the Copper Kettle had one. Don and Lisa, the owners, were incredibly friendly. You could tell they wanted to be sure their guests were taken care of. Could not have been friendlier people. The rooms are simple, clean and well cared for. The continental breakfast was good, coffee was great. There are few people left who get into the hospitality business who do it right, with old school class and a friendly welcome. From the time we checked in until we left, there was never a question in my mind that Don and Lisa would have jumped at a moment’s notice if there was some problem with the room or we needed something. The price was right to boot. If you are OK with simple accommodations but clean, comfortable and well-maintained, do not hesitate. They treat you right here.

Clean, cute, comfortable and affordable rooms in a great location with friendly owners and a good breakfast! Copper Kettle Cottages are located in Windham, New York along route 23, providing a great place to truly enjoy the great outdoors in the area and at the cottages. My husband and I stayed at the cottages in late June for a long weekend in the Catskills. Upon arriving we were greeted by Don and Lisa, the friendly owners who immediately made us feel at home but not in an overwhelming or stuffy way. They showed us the dining area, where breakfast is served, the game room and the pool area. They offered to help us with anything we needed, from extra pillows and blankets to advice on where to eat, hike or fish. Our room was in a cute and clean cottage. The bed and linens were comfortable, the décor was tasteful and the knotty pines walls gave it a cozy feeling. Outside the cottages there are chairs under covered overhangs. We enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables with umbrellas in a shaded lawn area, as well as, on the deck by the pool. This would also be a great place to stay with family or a group. The owners have plants, flowers and outdoor candles throughout the property making you feel welcome and relaxed. All the added touches show the owners really care about their guest’s experience. In the mornings we enjoyed a nice breakfast including hot coffee, juice and a selection of fruit, bagels, oatmeal, cereal and coffee cake. Don and Lisa happily offered suggestions on everything we needed or wanted to do all weekend long. Don went above and beyond by giving my husband a fly tying lesson in the office one evening and took him out and put him on the fish the next afternoon! We have stayed in other motels and cottages but none have had the great service that we received at Copper Kettle Cottages! We had a great stay and look forward to going back to enjoy the beautiful area and visit with Don and Lisa for years to come.
