Had the bang bang shrimp(great portion size) we split this app and Caesar salad, both delicious. Great service. Will definitely return.

Very disappointing. Not the Bonefish of old. And, now makes sense why it’s in a mall. However, it is just another mediocre chain restaurant. It’s been several years since I’ve been to Bonefish, only because I moved and there wasn’t a location close. It use to be delicious(at least the Northern Virginia locations). You would not have known it was a chain. So I was excited to see Bonefish opened in Wilmington. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice. Nice bar area and the wait staff helpful and friendly. The Mussels were very good. I’m not sure what all the hype is about the Bang Bang Shrimp, average at best. My meal tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave from the night before. Mashed Garlic Potatoes were so dry they were hard. Green beans soggy and swimming in a butter sauce which I’m sure they use to cover up any dish that is either reheated or tasteless. Everyone at the table had the same buttery sauce but on a different food. The Ribeye steak, equally as bad. I’m sure it depends on the location, but I will not be returning to the Wilmington location!

Not a chain diner in any way. The one exception has been Bonefish, that my wife and I fell in love with in Surfside Beach, SC. over a decade ago. We have since visited nearly 10. This local option has not carried the plans or image well. Tonight, our 7th and maybe last visit, I ordered two gin martini’s, including one they claim is «The greatest dirty martini on Earth». Both were delivered to the table at least ½″ down from the rim of the glass. If this happened in any of our fine local steak houses, or numerous local Italian houses, it would have been sent back. A shot of Tanqurey Gin costs the establishment about $ 0.60 in a drink they are selling for $ 8.75, would it kill them to fill a drink that is so much based upon appearance? In fairness, the tuna steak was AOK, the sauce added little, but the green beans were done well and I love the coleslaw. IT’s SOOOOOCLOSE to being enjoyable, but they just continue to shoot themselves in the foot.

The second visit for us to Bonefish. A friends favorite seafood place, we joined their family on our first visit for a family occasion. This time, on our own, it was consistent– superior. Food selection, preparation and service were top shelf. Yes, we’ll be back.

The food is decent. The service is horrible. I sat through an entire meal and not once did my server/bartender ask how the meal was, if I wanted another drink, or was in any way having a good meal. The meal was ‘meh’. Cold spinach, like warm potatoes and over cooked steak. This is by far the worst restaurant on the area for value. There are too many other good restaurants around — don’t waste your time or money here.

Went in for a date night. Our server Charlie was absolutely amazing! We both work in the industry and also just go out to eat A LOT and he was the best server we’ve seen in quite a while. The specials were amazing(I had the orange roughie and he had the shrimp stuffed lobster). I have pretty severe allergies and he was amazing about not making it feel like extra work and making sure everything was prepared safely. We are definitely coming back. If you want great food definitely come here and if you want great service ask for Charlie!

Anyone who knows me knows that one, I am not a fan of chain restaurants and two, I don’t eat seafood. So, for me to end up in a place like Bonefish Grill — a chain restaurant specializing in seafood — is a surprise. Well, smack me on the bottom and call me Sally. This place is phenomenal. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by not one person, but by two. We were seated promptly in this large plush booth. The décor is quite simplistic, yet stylish. Brown craft paper lined the table, which was set with utensils rolled in black cloth napkins. Our waiter really made the experience, to be honest, and he is why I am giving five stars. The food was tasty, but the service was stellar. He recommended drinks — I chose the grapefruit martini, and highly recommend it to anyone who likes grapefruit and/or martinis. He offered his opinions on dishes and possessed great menu knowledge. The bread and oil was tasty, but the food was even better. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl(chicken, fried rice, MANGOSALSA!!!). OHEMGEE. I think I could eat it everyday. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the mango salsa made me want to lick the bowl clean. I didn’t, for the record, but I could have. For dessert, we shared a slice of key lime pie. It’s hard to come by around these parts, so when I find it, I get it. It was delish. Sweet and tart — absolutely perfect. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend. If you think you might compare this place to Red Lobster, you won’t.

Update on 1−4−2016− Still a wonderful place. We ordered salmon for takeout tonight. They called us back to say they ran out of salmon and would replace it with any other fish and would discount the charge… very generous. We re-ordered, but the only other fish I liked was the shrimp and scallops, but have had on 2 occasions and found the portion really skimpy., like 3 scallops and 4 shrimp or something like that, and they weren’t big scallops or shrimp. I asked if they could beef up the portion but the only way was for me to pay an extra $ 9.00 for extra shrimp or extra scallops. I think that is steep, especially on an order that is skimpy to begin with. However, I still love the place. We’ve had nothing but good, fresh food and superior service with very friendly staff who will do anything to please you.

Without a doubt one of the, if not the, best dining experiences of my life. It is so rare these days to get the quality of service and food combined that I got here. My waiter was so knowledgeable about the whole menu and how things were prepared, I asked him if he was just a waiter or one of the chefs. He laughed and said just a food connoisseur. We really connected because I consider myself to be the same. I asked for his recommendations and he did not steer me wrong. Although I don’t think you would get a bad meal regardless of what you choose from the menu, everyhing was delicious. If you’re a food connoisseur you’ve gotta check this place out!

Bang Their bang bang shrimp was great! Deep fried small shrimp tossed in a flavorful creamy sauce on a bed of greens. With their free bread starter and a coke you have a full meal. Sit back and relax at the bar area as they have the Food Network on sometimes. Service is always terrific and the bathrooms clean. Plenty of mall parking. Great chain to get a bite to eat if you want seafood but too lazy to drive into the city. They had a promotion in the summer for $ 10 off any purchase if you showed the promotional web page on your phone and that made the dishes a fantastic deal for dining alone. Wait for the deals!

Great experience ! Wonderful service, great atmosphere, excellent food. Vegetarian tip: get the shrimp salad with shrimp on side. The salad itself was yummy with black beans and corn and such, and house made dressing. My dining partner had tilapia, green beans, and truffle Mac n cheese(do it). Bonus: super fresh bread with pesto olive oil. Total bill was $ 48, including 2 glasses of wine. A little pricey perhaps but not so bad. That’s the only reason for loss of a star. $ 5 for Mac n cheese and $ 13 for that salad. There were only 4 shrimp involved. Anyway, overall We really enjoyed our dinner. Bonefish is really good especially for a chain, which often get kind of a bad rap. I’d go back!

Came by here for lunch on a Saturday. Only about 6 people in the place. Asked for the soup of the day and salad, and the waiter said they were out of soup already. They’d been open less than an hour. Ordered a green salad instead, only to be served a wilted bunch of greens soaked in dressing. When I complained the waiter said I should have asked for dressing on the side. On a positive note the sea salt edamame were good. Service was mediocre. Won’t be back.

The calamari is absolutely fantastic! The spicy tuna bowl was very satisfying because I’m a big fan of sushi. It was like a sweeter, and disassembled spicy tuna roll. But I’m not really big on sweet things so I most likely won’t be ordering it again for a while. My brother doesn’t particularly like fish so he settled for the fontina pork chop and my mother ordered one of the specials, grilled swordfish and pumpkin ravioli. Both were a smoky hit! I’ll be sure to come back with my dad soon.

Loud music and so many servers we didn’t know who to ask for water. The comment from one server was that they worked as a team. I think it is confusing, as well as the way they price the food. Food was good and presented nicely. I just don’t think we will return because of the loud music(which we did ask one of the servers if it had to be loud). It also wasn’t conducive to a dinner experience.

Although Bonefish Grill is a chain restaurant, from the outside, it always looked like a place that was too rich for my blood so I never tried it before. I finally made a visit to the Concord Mall location this afternoon for lunch. Well, I must say the ambiance is comfortable and relaxing, with earth-toned modern décor. There is a choice of both indoor and outdoor seating, although in the summer, I’d much prefer indoors for the air-conditioning. Service was okay too, although the server did forget to bring out the silverware. I am not sure if there was supposed to be a mat at lunchtime. The only tablecloth here was a sheet of paper. The food, although tasty and nicely-presented, was overpriced for the portion size that I got. I think that’s really the only downside. One would expect a tad more value from a chain restaurant.

Not overly impressed. My wife and I shared the Calamari for an appetizer and it doesn’t even crack my top 10. Their signature Bang Bang Shrimp was very good — my wife had it in the form of the Po’boy and mine was in the form of tacos. The Po’boy was loaded with shrimp and while it was very messy it was very tasty. The French Fries served with my tacos may have been good if they we fully cooked — how hard is it to cook a French Fry? Service was very, very bad!!! The food runners were more visible and available than the waitstaff(at least our waiter). I had about 3 bites of my lunch remaining when our waiter finally returned to ask if I would like a refill. From the time the food runner delivered our food until then we had not seen our waiter. Fortunately I had a full drink to prevent me from becoming parched while waiting the waiter to return with the check. I’m a little bummed that I will need to return to finish off my gift card as I’m not all that excited about returning.

Went here one evening and the bartender could not tell me of they still had the run punch anymore. Not sure if she was new or what but she took for ever to return with my answer. When my party arrived we sat at another area in the bar and the new waiter took forever to come get our order. Never brought our bread until we were almost done eating. Over all drinks were good and so was the food. Service was slow.

This was my first time eating here. There was a 40 minute wait so we chose to sit in the bar area. The décor is modern chic. The portions are perfect, and they have a good selection of beer. I tried the tripled golden monkey… absolutely wonderful. The next time I go I will make reservations so I can be seated in the dinning area. This location is at the concord mall on 202 in North Wilmington so it is pretty busy and busier now during the holiday.season.

Went on Wednesday, October 8th. Was truly hoping for solid food with friendly service. Only got half of what I wished for. The hostesses were nice but chatty among themselves. Had to interrupt their conversation with a polite«Excuse Me». The first clue that we were in a regular, run of the mill, franchise restaurant was the white kraft paper that was one the table, acting as a tablecloth. ugh. Our service was knowledgeable, friendly and good on her follow-up. Continued to come over and sincerely apologize for the long wait on all the components of our meal down to the bread. The menu is boring and insignificant. Example — I read Fish Tacos and thought«Hmmm…that sounds good, have had them other places and was curious to try their take on them.» Husband suggested that I ask what type of fish is used. Server’s answer is tilapia. Ummmm… why would I pay that price for a tilapia taco? Have the sense to make it worth the diner’s while and use at least mahi-mahi or tuna. Bang Bang Shrimp — soggy and tasteless. Burger — frozen low quality meat. Fried Calamari — Rubbery & Under Seasoned. Just a true disappointment.
