The food here was super amazing! I must say Joe is totally the best. The food is delicious the tacos are awesome, the quesadillas are to die for. I really love this place and I hope more people come here because honestly the food here is second to none. Thanks guys I really enjoyed my time here, and I will keep coming back.

The food was okay. The service was excellent. It’s a cute place. We are from Houston, therefore our expectations for Tex-​Mex are very high. This food, while tolerable, was too much Tex and not enough Mex. Super bland. If you are not accustomed to the caliber of Tex-​Mex found in The Greater Houston Area, then this place is great.

I was in Whitney for a camping trip with my local RV club staying at Lake Whitney State Park. I needed to run into the store to pick up a few supplies. While in town, I decided to stop in for lunch at Tres Hermanos.
When I drove up to the restaurant, the parking lot was full. I figured if all the locals were there, it would be a good choice for me as well. I wasn’t wrong in my decision. Lunch service was brisk and I was very happy with the experience at the restaurant.
After munching on a basket of hot chips and excellent salsa, and looking over the menu, I ordered the Rio Verde plate. It consisted up a bean chalupa, a guacamole chalupa and a beef taco. My lunch plate was delivered to my table very quickly. YUMMY, the locals hadn’t led me wrong. The food was really good, totally up to my TexMex standards. Next time I’m in the Whitney area, I’ll definitely stop in again.

Excellent mexican food! Service is always always amazing! This is a family-​owned and operated restaurant.
I always have the tacos al carbon, but there are several other excellent menu options as well! Their chips and salsa is AMAZING! This is in my hometown and is definitely a must stop on every visit!

Dog food. I was so disappointed by this restaurant. I can’t believe people think this is Mexican food. Nothing fresh, everything is processed right down to the Cheese Whiz. Their salsa is one ladder rung above ketchup. They get one star for using real chicken in their enchiladas. Go eat a hamburger, you’ll be happier.

The food here is excellent. That’s why I come here. Prices aren’t too bad either. I am so proud of the fact that they bounced back so beautifully after their poor little restaurant burnt down.
My personal fave is the shrimp quesadilla. They use good-​sized shrimp and the portions are very generous.
If you’re looking for ambiance and an environment to unwind in, look elsewhere — the metal roof and walls resonate with the sounds of the shrieking spawn of the locals.
