We ordered a half sandwich and soup. This is the smallest French dip we have ever seen, barely two bites! And the soup was in a tiny bowl. We eat here often and the portions have always been generous. What gives?

Ugh. Paid over $ 200 a night at this«lodge.» Husband and I went to the grill for dinner and not one, not two, not three, but FOUR waitresses/hostesses made eye contact with us at the hostess stand and walked right on by. Mind you, they weren’t busy at all, and in fact had enough time to get into a spat about hogging the tables for more tips(involving two waitresses and the hostess). Obviously they weren’t interested in our business. What a dump!

Staying at the Lodge, and this appeared to be the only restaurant on the premises. Went in with my teenage kids to get some appetizers and a cold brew for me. No one helped us, and when I asked a server who was helping a table next to us(who arrived after us) for assistance, I was told to «wait a minute please». Eventually we got helped(by a different person) and the food was average, what you’d expect for a tourist lodge restaurant I guess. Overall, service poor, food OK, prices a bit high. I’d opt for going to town for some food.

The food here was very good. I got the stuffed pork with jalapeño mashed potatoes and broccoli. The pork was seasoned well and the stuffing was very tasty. The mashed potatoes were not dry and tasted fantastic and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very good with giving solid recommendations on what beers to try based off of other beers we liked and provided exceptional service throughout our meal. Would definitely go back again!

Good service, waiters are friendly and seem very nice. The food on the other hand was bland and tasteless. Although the main dish I ordered was way toooo salty.

First off, there are some things to note: Drink specials do NOT carry over to the dinner side of this place. The dinner that starts at 5:00 is 2 – 3 times as much as the regular grill, but you can just get the regular grill on the dinner side. Both of these things should be made a lot clearer, which is why I removed 1 star. As for drinks, the prices are good during happy hour, and average otherwise. We did not try their fancier dinner dishes, but the grill food was all excellent and well priced. We especially liked the fresh horseradish and well-balanced flavours in the sandwiches. Overall, good but a couple of quirks that should be made more clear.

Guests of the hotel who opt-out of room service get a $ 5 voucher. Conveniently the cost of a local brew.

We are staying at the lodge and ate here for lunch the day we arrived and despite the fact the food wasn’t that great, we took a chance on Christmas dinner, mostly because nothing else was open. NOTWORTH it! It’s expensive IMO and the food is quite yawn inspiring. Not many choices for picky children, either. We ordered room service and it was delivered with hair in one of the dishes. They were quick to fix, but still, adding to the pile of everything else that wasn’t working well, it just didn’t work for us.

The food was pretty bad, and extremely pricey. I had the trout, friends had the steak wrap, and the pork. Comment on the pork was ok but not great: a little tough, a little dry. Steak wraps were good. The trout was really strange, it had been wrapped in a tube and stuffed with what tasted like turkey stuffing. It was super dry and disappointing for 30+ dollars. Trout is so easy to cook, a little butter, some herbs, and a pan. There’s just no excuse for baking it till it resembles chicken.

The night we ate here was 1) in the«off» season, 2) a Sunday evening, and 3) Mother’s Day. Take that into consideration. We were the only people here the evening we went until about 6:45PM when one other couple appeared. Consequently, service was excellent. I had the Sausage Sampler with elk and bison sausage. The elk sausage was terrific with a little spiciness, but not too much. The bison sausage was good, but needed«something» to wake it up. There was a special mustard accompanying this which I wish they had given me more of. I also had the planked wild salmon, topped with a flavored butter. Excellent, but a bit undercooked in the thicker sections. One of my dinner partners had the Rainbow Trout, quite a good-sized piece of fish, which she pronounced to be excellent. My husband had the Chicken Breast. He cleaned his plate. The peach cobbler was thoroughly enjoyed by my daughter. The serving was large enough to be shared with others. They have changed the décor a bit since the place was taken over by Glacier Park, Inc. It is a bit less«lodgy» than it used to me. I am not sure it was an improvement.

Not worth it! the place needs a serious remodel and the food was below average. At least the bartender was great and the martini’s perfect!

I had some excellent food while on my Montana vacation but the food here was memorable! Everything my friends and I ate were sublime… sweet potato gnocchi with walnuts, bacon and blue cheese and the side of sauteed mushrooms were the standout hits. Unbelievable desserts as well. Perfect meal to end a day long hike at Glacier Park! Did I mention they have a wine bar?!
