Subway

I waited patiently for two very old ladies to ask about every single thing on the menu. I was the only person after them. A gentleman walked in, walked in front of me and instead of your employees informing him that I was next they went ahead and took his order. I left with no food and my entire lunch break wasted. I’ll go to the location down the street from now on.

I won’t comment on the food in general, as it’s standard Subway fare and you likely already have an opinion on it. I think it’s average food and fits the bill when you’re hungry and don’t want to put much thought into your meal. The food here tastes like every other Subway I’ve been to.
However, the service is absolutely horrible at this location. Every. Single. Time.
Not sure where they’re finding these people. The girls working there have been the worst (to be fair, there was a guy working once, and he seemed to be a lot better, as he jumped in to ring up my order after I had to deal with a surly girl making the sandwich).
They mess up orders. Get mad when you ask them to repeat something because they mumbled or the music was too loud. Take forever to make a sandwich.
Worse, they are just clueless. One time this summer Subway ran a promo for a special sandwich with avocado. They even had a giant poster on the wall near the check-​out counter featuring that sandwich. I ordered it — the Chipotle Steak and Cheese With Avocado — and the girl looked at me with a blank stare. She proceeded to make a standard steak and cheese, and then started to wrap it up after I asked for jalapenos and tomatoes. I said, «Isn’t this supposed to have avocado and chipotle sauce or something else on it as well?» And she said «No, it doesn’t ‘come’ with anything. You have to order what you want on it.»
I told her that I understand how Subway works, having been there, oh, 1,000 times since I was a teenager. But I wanted the base Chipotle Steak and Cheese With Avocado sub, with whatever that’s supposed to include, from which I could add my toppings. She told me there is no such thing, that I can order a steak and cheese and then ask for avocado and whatever sauce I want as toppings, as she stood RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE POSTER advertising it. Under her reasoning, you would never order any type of specific sub (Cold Cut Combo, Meatball, etc.) — you would just go up and choose your meat an everything else individually.
This defines my experience at this particular Subway location better than any other example. Never really had a problem at any Subway over the years, until walking into this one. Something like this happens every single time at this location, to the point where I don’t go anymore.

So, I am the only customer in the store and I ask for: «a drink, the $ 1.90 one».
She says: «what size?» and I reply, «the $ 1.90 size».
She then proceeds to enter «small drink» and sees that the price is too low and then cancels it out.
Then enters «medium drink» and sees …
Finally, entering «large drink» and we have our Goldilocks moment.
