Denny’s

The burgers here are good enough to keep coming back, but sometimes, like today the restaurant isn’t very busy but the kitchen staff is acting outrageous! I want to relax and enjoy my meal and there is screaming and profanities and yelling and perverse noises coming out of the kitchen and permeating the dining area. Not a pleasant meal at all today. If this happens again I will stop eating here. D– at best.

Love this Denny’s I’ve never had any issues and our waitress/​waiter is always sweet and polite. I go there every year for my birthday for their free grand slam with my family :) always a good deal especially the 2 4 6 8 menu and their food is really good!

Terrible customer service, wait for food way to long, paying the check, nearly impossible since no one is ever at the front desk. Menu items, the wait staff might as well start by telling you what they do have in stock to eat since every time ive been there, they are out of a menu item. I’ll find elsewhere to eat

Great place to go for a simple breakfast. It is a minimal wait… Unlike Chip’s across the street! The remodel looks great and I find that the staff is overall friendly. This location is my breakfast place of choice when I’m looking for a quick and good breakfast! I would choose Wethersfield Denny’s over Chip’s ANY DAY!

I’ve always liked this location and waaay better than the one that opened in Hartford. So since I was in the area for christmas shopping, and hadnt been to this location in about 3 years, I thought I’d drop in. When I walked in I noticed it had been renovated so I thought nice what else is new?! Well I can tell you the customer service and the food is new and not in a good way. First, no lie there was like maybe 6 tables taken so many tables to choose from, yet it took forever to get us seated. New staff and they did not look happy to be there except for a guy named Thomas. After we placed our order it took another decade for the food to come out and our coffee was super cold. The food was AWFUL! I don’t know what happen to them but they fell off completely! The waitress seemed upset when we asked for basic things like sugar and cream that we had already asked for once before. Had to get my bill at the register as we got tired of waiting and noticed the waitress walking around mean mugging. No thanks… will not be back again, think I’ll head to Chips across the street next time!

Food is the major reason for the flow of customers. I am travelling now with a happy tummy which is digesting a double cheese burger yuuummmmm. The restaurant has good choices of food, started with a coffee which was served WARM but tasted good for my indian tounge. Then came the double cheese burger with french fries with a topping of cheese and bacon ooh the moment i pierced it with my knife i could hear godly voices around my head, it was so amazing that the juices just came out of the burger and i knew this is it, even though the burger and the fries had no salt on them it tasted good for every bite i had to shake the salt on them yummmmmm.
Well the dessert did nt stand up to my expectation the lava cake known to burst the liquid chocolate out when it is spooned it never happend it just never came out but still its a dessert it tasted good with the vanilla icecream.
All in all the restaurant looks decent the staff always asks for your needs and checks with u regularly i am happy with dennys i will come back

Came here because Chips was too crowded. Mistake. Food was cold. Never had toast that was cold and hard till now. Never offered a refill on my coffee. Had to go to counter to request my check. Won’t be back.

The service was slow. We had a server who was not able to take the correct order. I ordered chicken burger and I asked for BBQ sauce — but it didnt have any sauce. The fries were okay — I have had much better. The dessert was good, I dont remember the name but it had 3 different types of ice-​cream.

I’ve always loved Denny’s, but I love this location better every time I come to visit my mother this is where I’m at. I love that they redid the restaurant It tells me that they’re here to stay I love the new décor I love the new floors and the staff is always friendly love this place

Always enjoy the simple meals and these restaurant’s are at most truck stops. Friendly service and affordable prices.

Why did we go there? Im already not a fan of Dennys to start with but this place confirmed for me that I would not be returning to any Dennys ever. Horrible service, food took ridiculously long, we weren’t sure who our waitress was at any given time, they dropped plates and food in the kitchen at least 3 times and all the customers were looking at each other like, «dude that was your food they just dropped,» it had to be because it took so long to get it. Then when we made a move to get the heck out of there and of course they start having trouble processing our credit card on their end. I felt like I was in a really bad comedy movie! It was just such bad service and work ethic that one would have to laugh. Uggghhhh thanks but no thanks.

I have eaten at Denny’s in Wethersfield many times, always for breakfast and never had a bad meal. I usually order the senior Omelet (egg white)) with hash browns and toast. Occasionally, I substitute pancakes for the hash brown. Most of the time I sit at the counter and service is always good. My coffee cup is always refilled.
There are usually several coupon offers and if you are an AARP member, you will get a discount.
It is located across from the just opened CHIPS and Denny’s has lost one or more servers to Chips. Chips is a new restaurant and seems to be very busy. But Denny’s gives you more value and the food Is just as good, if not better.

Ive been here a few times and this is my first review for them. I really cant complain about this place. Im always seated quickly and the service has always been great, even when they are busy. I have never eaten anything other than breakfast here and Ive been at all different times of the day.
The pancake puppies are awesome and I usually get the grand slamwich.

First of all this could have been a 5 star review. The service was quick and the food was excellent. The waitress was very pleasant even though she seemed to be having a bad morning when we walked in.
The reason for the 4 stars is because this location is in serious need of a makeover. The entry doors were lopsided and didn’t close. The interior is dated and worn. And although the plates and cups were clean they were extremely worn. The coffee cups had those internal cracks/​streaks that you often see in cups and dishes.
I would eat here again but please Denny’s management at least spruce the place up a bit.

No Restaurant I Have Ever Been To Unless It’s Cafeteria Style Has Ever Served Cold food, I don’t understand why I Recieved My Food And The Whole Plate Was Cold.
Overall Id Rather Have Went To Mcdonalds if I knew it would be this crappy. I couldn’t believe it was this bad, I literally took one bite of bacon. & a bite of bacon And Pushed My Plate Away I Asked If I Meal Would Be Complimentary Because It Was Cold And I Refused To Eat It. The Manager Never Comped My Meal; I Will Never Again visit this Denny’s Again

Warning: going to this Dennys with a group of 14 created great confusion and flustered the staff. We even called 1 hour ahead and still waited another hour to be seated. They didn’t serve our kids table until all the adults finished eating their food. Not a pleasant place at all.

I’ve been to this Denny’s several times. In my experience, this particular restaurant is better than the other Denny’s in central Connecticut.
For one, service is a hell of a lot better. The servers are very friendly and they do check on you now and then to make sure you are satisfied. Sometimes the service gets a bit slow, but that’s inevitable when the restaurant is packed.
The food is great for when you are just too lazy to cook. The hubby and I usually come for brunch and have tried most of the breakfast menu. We always finish each dish that we order and if you want to make substitutions, they are very accommodating and will let you know if there is an extra charge, depending on what you want to substitute. The portions are a bit small, but for the price it’s about right.
One star knocked out because of parking. The complete area is very tight due to other businesses nearby. If you can’t find a parking spot you may have to park your car at the plaza across the street and walk over, that is, if you are REALLY hungry.

It’s a Denny’s…you should already know what you’re getting into from a food perspective…
Place is clean enough… And the value is obviously there…
Been here multiple times and service is always lacking. I get that I’m not heading to a Max restaurant, but I have to wait for 10 minutes to be seated while 3 waitresses look at me and no one moves to seat me? Felt like I was being Punk’d or something.
Messed up my very simple omelette order… twice…just ate the second miss as it was too much trouble to send back and everyone else already ate while I waited for them to remake the first miss…
I need to find a better place to do our ‘Breakfast for Dinner’ outings…

While it gives of a kind of an unkempt appearance, the service is very friendly and the food is beautiful.

This Denny’s is in a lot by itself on Route 99 in Wethersfield. Be careful to choose the correct entrance because there is a tendency to enter the office parking lot next to Denny’s and the two parking lots are not connected.
The restaurant interior looks clean, bright and fresh. The food looked pretty decent, although portion sizes didn’t look terribly generous. Service was the worst part of our experience there. It’s not that the service was bad but it was on the slow side. Also, the manager made a mistake when taking the coupon discount, but our server should’ve just corrected it instead of coming to our table to gripe about it before heading off to correct it.
