This is a great place to go to if you want new glasses or contacts. I would recommend going on weekdays for better parking, but the weekends aren’t too bad. They have a wide selection of glasses to choose from, and the staff are very knowledgeable. Big shout out to Jenni! She is very helpful and is very patient and she helped me try on a bunch of frames before I found my perfect one. Also, thank you so much Dr. Tong for my eye exam and your beside manners along with answering any questions I had. I highly recommend stopping by, everyone is very nice and will do their best to help you out. Thank you again, I greatly appreciate it!

I have been wearing glasses since a young age, so I’ve gone through many pairs of glasses from many different optometries — but Dr. Tong and the staff at MyOptics are in my opinion the best!
My first time at MyOptics was through a referral from a friend. I was going in to get my eye exam for glasses as well as contacts. When I first entered the office, I was immediately drawn into the clean and sleek look of the office. All of their sunglasses and eye frames were organized in a way that it was easy to find a particular brand.
I was immediately greeted by one of their friendly workers who helped guide me through the paperwork and took me to get a pre eye exam. After that I was taken into a second room where Dr. Tong would finish up the second part of the exam. She was very patient and thorough while examining my eyes. It was also my first time getting contacts so showed me how to put on and take off my contacts — which is harder than it looks at first!
After talking to Dr. Tong about my prescription and contact options I was then handed over to Nyvia who helped me with choosing frames. Nyvia was very knowledgable about their selection of frames and helped me narrow down my choices to a pair of Tom Ford eye glasses. She also walked me though the types of lenses they offer to ensure that my lenses would last as long as they have been now!
I would recommend MyOptics to any of my friends and family members. Dr. Tong and her staff will take care of you, I promise!

I had my first experience with this optometry office on 12/​31/​2015. I wanted to get new glasses and to get an updated prescriptions for contacts.
I was astonished with how clean, beautiful, and upscale the office look, and was greeted by Nyvia and Jenni. Jenni took my insurance and patient information form and proceeded to take me to the first part of the exam. She did a wonderful job explaining to me what she was doing and she was really patient and upbeat when I struggled with getting air blown into my eyes. After that, I was taken into a room to finish up the rest of my eye exam. Dr. Tong was very professional, detailed, and patient. She really took the time to examine me and explain to me my results and all the questions I had (and I’m known to ask A LOT of questions). One detail in my eye exam results wasn’t good but she did a great job at making sure I didn’t freak out by being calm and poised. Another thing I loved about her was the fact she took detailed notes. Before coming in, I read all her Unilocal reviews and I loved that she was able to address all the negative reviews with great detail!
I had a frame and style in mind but the shopaholic in me is always opened to trying other frames. Jenni took the time to ask me what styles I liked and she has an eye for understanding which one looks best on me. I loved that she pulled out so many frames for me to test out and was very patient with me when I wanted to try more, even when she was super busy helping other patients. When Jenni was with other patients, I was able to ask Michelle for advice and she was so sweet to talk to. I also love that they are able to order frames that aren’t in store. They had the style I wanted, but not in the size I wanted but they could order them for me. Therefore, if you are already set on a specific brand and frame, bring in the style code and they would be able to order them for you!
Once I picked out a frame, I had to pick out the lens type and coatings. Jenni did a great job explaining each and every option. I ended up going with what she recommended because I trusted her professional expertise. She also took care of the billing, which surprised me cause I ended up paying a lot less than expected! :D
Overall, I really wanted to take the time to thank Dr. Tong, Jenni, Nyvia, and Michelle for making my visit very pleasant. The entire process was so seamless and easy, and you could tell they really cared as they weren’t rushing you or trying to sell you/​rip you off. I look forward to going back to pick up my new frames soon!!! :)

I got an exam for eye glasses and contacts at this clinic. Dr. Tong wrote me the wrong prescriptions for both eye glasses and contacts. After I’ve spent $ 300.00, on the new eye glasses and $ 160.00, on contacts, I could not see clearly with the prescriptions Dr. Tong prescribed. I called Dr. Tong’s clinic to request for an appointment for a re-​examination and they wanted to charge me another $ 75.00, for a re-​examination fee due to Dr. Tong’s NEGLIGENCE.

I absolutely recommend this place for all of your eye care needs. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They answered all my question and concerns regarding my insurance. The clinic is tucked away in the Catinat plaza and there is plenty of parking. Awesome service, easy 5 stars.

I’ve been coming here for several years now and their service is always top notch and consistent. Everyone is knowledgeable, very friendly and polite, and go out of their way to assist you with anything.
My current glasses were getting kind of blurry. so I came here looking for a new pair and also wanted to try out contacts for the first time. The exam itself was very seamless. I must have bombarded Dr. Tong with so many questions but she was patient and answered everything. After the exam they walked me through the process of wearing contacts and made sure I knew how to put it on and take it off before letting me leave. Otherwise, they warned they’ll make me come back another day so I don’t end up irritating my eyeballs by failed attempts lol. Thankfully I was able to do that in two tries and with no red eyes. Woohoo!
I also wanted to check out the frames. Even though there were other patients in the office, one of their employee spent a good amount of time helping me select a variety of frames to try on until I was super content with a pair. She was also extremely patient and cheery, to the point where I felt bad that I was hogging up all of her time.
I highly recommend everyone give this place a try. They take really good care of their patients, their office is clean and modern, and they have a large variety of frames and sunglasses to choose from. They have a loyal customer in me!

This is a phenomenal spot, each associate was beyond professional and Dr. Tong pays extra attention to details! I threw all the questions I could at her and she hit them out of the park! Nice, easy, and very quick service! I came in to get some lenses for myself and and pair glasses for my brother. They have a great selection of really modern frames with really affordable prices. Not only that, the staff is super friendly and gave us good recommendations for our lenses. Definitely coming back here if I need a new pair of glasses!

I’ve been a patient at Myoptics for over 10 years. During this time, I’ve had a bunch of things done: got cute glasses, learned how to use contact lenses, had my eyes dilated several times. With Dr. Tong’s guidance, I also had the lasik procedure (one of the best decisions of my life). I also learned how to cope with some of the annoying ocular issues I was cursed with from birth. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient, It’s a rare thing to find a health provider you can trust with your eyes/​life, and she is definitely someone you can count on.
The staff are all super sweet, polite, and helpful. They’ve helped me pick the right frames for my round face… as well as the proper lens for my lifestyle. Billing is always a breeze, and there are never any surprises. They also have a wide selection of frames and sunglasses.
The team here is professional, efficient, and punctual. I always feel like I am getting the best possible care here, and I am so very grateful for that.

Dr. Tong was very professional. It was my first time coming here and the staff was very helpful and nice. Thanks to the positive reviews on here I was able to chose this optometrist over the rest. They have designer brand glasses for lower the price than many other optometry places I’ve been too. I was able to book an appointment for the following day and one of the staff members took the time to verify if my insurance was covered to be able to see Dr. Tong.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. In fact, I just got done with my appointment. Dr. Tong is an amazing optometrist. She is extremely patience, caring, and most definitely knowledgeable (coming from a girl that has astigmatism in both eyes) The staff are sweethearts. You won’t regret it…

Took wife for eye exam. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Greeted us as soon as we open the door. Having an appointment really speeds things up, especially on a weekend. Place was very well maintained and the AC helped on a 100 degree day.

Needed to update my glasses as it’s been a very long time since my last check up. The optometrist was extremely helpful and nice, and the people working at the desk were even more helpful!

I LOVE THEM!
I’ve been with them for at least 5 years and thought it’s finally time to show some love. They get to the point, never make me wait very long, and the young staff is fun to converse with. Dr. Tong is informative and sweet. I’ve never had a problem with anything. I like their frames here and they give discounts/​have promotions every now and then. They are super understanding about people’s financial concerns. Whenever I bring up buying things elsewhere they’ve never talked me out of it.
No shaddy business here!

I was in need of an eye exam and new glasses so I checked my in network provider and referenced Unilocal for reviews. I found Myoptics to have very positive reviews. Despite a few negative reviews I found Dr. Tong’s personal replies to be a sign of quality customer service.
Upon arriving I found clean, well organized office and was greeting by nice and attentive staff. Dr. Tong was very nice, attentive andb informative during the exam. They do have a quality selection of frames and I was able to find the same exact Ray Ban frames I previously had.
I saw someone posted a review with negative comments about their prices. Maybe if you dont have insurance then it can be steep as i have hae no vision plan at times. Having a good insurance/​vision plan does make a significant difference in the price you may pay.
Overall I was very happy with my visit to Dr. Tong’s Myoptics, her staff and my glasses (which I received in exactly one week) and highly recommend her to any friends, family and folks looking here on Unilocal

A family member recommended this place for me to go once I needed glasses. Came here a couple times, wont be coming back again.
The first time around I came for glasses. I was told that if I got a check up and bought frames from them, I would get half off discount of any pair of sun glasses they had on stock. Insurance ended up paying for my frames and lenses and all I had to pay was $ 110 for a pair of ray bans. If I opted for the polarized version, they would tack on $ 70. So I decided to buy the normal version and thought nothing of it. Little did I know I should have done my research.
When I drove that night with my new glasses, everything was glaring and signs I can easily read on my old contact prescription were now harder to make out. I took my glasses back and got reexamined and she told me that the prescription I has was the correct prescription. She continued to say that it was probably the lenses that was the problem and that if I wanted it fixed they would charge me extra to replace it… So they knowingly sold me a product that is known to not work well at night, and now that I brought it back to get fixed, I have to pay for that?
I also ended up losing my sunglasses in Vegas and looked online to see how much they would be to replace off the official Rayban website. Rayban was selling the original one I bought from MyOptiics, which was $ 105, for $ 145. Oh and the polarized version? Only $ 190 off the ray ban… they were going to only discount me $ 15 for the polarized version… so much for half off discount.
I almost forgot to mention. When the screw on my glasses fell out, they replaced it free of charge. That was nice of them, too bad it was with the wrong screw. I came back and told them this, and still this resulted in it falling out again and getting fixed not once, but twice. They used the wrong screws, twice… I don’t get how they couldn’t see that the screw was too long or too short.
A year later I went back to get my contacts done. After the check up and pricing… they told me insurance was going to only cover 3 boxes, any more and I would have to pay upwards of 80 bucks. At the last optometrist I came from, I was able to get more than twice the boxes they offered! That was the final straw.
Service is friendly and they are very helpful. That was the main reason I came back for my second check up, but that’s all this place has going for it. The prices are waaaaaay too expensive. I looked over many reviews before going here and really thought this place had great low prices but really… people must be shopping at all the wrong places. I don’t understand how they get away with it. Their discounts? a joke. Their repairs? a joke. Their low prices? Non existent.
Its a shame, I really hope my old optometrist will take me back with open arms

I love Dr. Tong and her staff members.
They provide quality service and care to their patients. I would miss my appointments countless time but are always willing to take me in even when they are busy.
Dr. Tong is very professional, explains throughly what she is doing and will answer your question as best as she can. Her staff are very courteous and friendly. They assign one person after your exam to help you pick out frames.
I would recommend this to anyone in Bolsa who needs eye exam and glasses.
