A friend from work suggested that I go here, and thank God she did! Mary was amazing and made a beautiful bouquet on the spot for me, and Webster, her dog kept me company! Such a warm and friendly feel! Also, once you buy 5 bouquets, she’ll give you a card to get the 6^th free. It was such a great experience, and the flowers were perfect for the occasion. She was so kind and thoughtful. I will definitely be back!

These people are thieves! They take your order AND YOUR MONEY but never deliver the flowers you purchased. When you complain they attempt to lie their way out of responsibility for their devious actions BUT the lies quickly turn to mocking remarks and then to threats! When I demanded my money back for flowers never delivered I was threatened with bodily harm by a cretinous man named John. Between slurs and with a profusion of crude remarks and language highlighted by four letter words beginning with F, he claimed to be one of the owners. BEWARE OF THIS MAN! BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS! BE SAFE! GO ELSEWHERE!

Without a doubt the worst experience with a florist I’ve ever had. I placed my order on Thursday afternoon using one of their websites and opted for same day delivery since it was an option. I was slightly doubtful it would go out the same day but I was okay with that as long as it sent out the next morning. After placing my order I realized the company has two websites and wanted to verbally confirm my order to be sure they received it. I called multiple times Thursday afternoon with no answer (they were supposed to be open until 6pm…). Okay maybe they were busy so I just decided to call Friday morning.
Someone answered (I think her name was Frankie and this poor girl was VERY helpful and tried really hard to figure this mess out which I do appreciate). After multiple call backs she finally found my order. Apparently one of their websites is an external site and orders are not made directly through Halls of Tara. I guess they have a rule that this site should not be accepting orders under $ 50 for delivery (fault of the website not the florist). Of course the one I ordered came to $ 37 and I was told by Halls of Tara that I needed to pay the extra $ 13 JUST TO HAVE THE ORDER FILLED without any upgrade on the order! If I wanted to spend $ 50 I would have just ordered a more expensive arrangement. I was not about to get ripped off but the florist called me back and said they were going to fill my order as is for the $ 37 and it would go out that day (Friday). Awesome.
Friday and Saturday go by… no flowers were delivered. I figured there wouldn’t be any deliveries on Sunday so I called first thing Monday and briefly spoke with Mary the owner. She said she was going to look into it and call me back. About six hours go by and I hadn’t heard anything. I called and left a message hoping she’d actually call back.
At this point 4 days have gone by since I needed them delivered, and I don’t need them for the event anymore and want to cancel my order. Spent all day today (Tuesday) playing phone tag with the owner who finally called back to admit they lost/​could never find my order even though I have a confirmation email and voicemail saying they were sent out Friday.
While I was on the phone with her she magically found my order saying «Oh look at that I have it right here, I found it!» Well that’s great considering I ordered them FIVE DAYS AGO.
I was trying to support local business but I should have just ordered from Kabloom or 1 – 800 Flowers. I finally got a refund but this was the most frustrating experience.
No one wants to receive grievance flowers five days late, thanks for nothing.

Nice neighborhood florist in West Roxbury with super-​friendly people, and also home of the BEST Easter Bunny mascot in the area! Seriously, had you passed by in the days before Easter, you would have seen the bunny himself out on Centre St, danicing up a storm! Rock on, Bunny!

Mary was very helpful and was responsive with a request that required a relatively quick turnaround. The arrangement was presented very well and it reflected the occasion. The price was reasonable and the experience was good.

Cannot say enough nice things about Mary and John at Halls of Tara. Every time I come by they are always so happy and helpful with selecting the right arrangement (at the right price) that it just reinforces why I come back to them rather than continuing to get nickle and dimed from the online stores.
Definitely worth the trip!
