Absolutely phenomenal food. Went there for dinner with wife. Vegan food that’s exceptionally fresh and tasty. Had the palm cake and soba noodles for appetizer, and blt sandwich and gazpacho… finished off with the hummingbird cake. All portions were just right with the exception of the dessert that was huge! Tasty food and a great open air atmosphere. Even though it’s summertime in South FL, it was quite nice(7PM). We’re going back for sure…

I am no vegan eater, but my sister is so I have to abide. She comes here religiously. We came on a Saturday around 730 and a reservation would definitely have done the trick but we didn’t care so we sat at the bar. I shared a Caesar salad and then got the black and blue veggie burger. Salad was great, and I normally hate salads. I took a taste of the tomato basil soup but it has a weird taste that is probably something vegan that I’m just not used to. My veggie burger was pretty good, on challah bread, but the consistency of it just wasn’t my ideal(I’m a real meat girl I’m sorry) but the taste of it and flavors they use are definitkey a plus. I also subbed the tofu blue cheese they give with something at my waitresses recommendation and was into that. Their French fries are also UNREALLLLLLLLLL like please do not go there and not get the fries. Some pasta dishes came out and LOTS of desserts that all looked absolutely delicious. I’m sure I’ll be back so I will update soon, but for all my Gf peeps, they do have bread and I think pasta options for you! And you can bring your pet :) Sunday’s 5 – 7 you get either 15 or 20% off your meal if you! PUPPYPERKS

I’ve been here a few times throughout the years but I must say my recent dinner just blew me away. The black bean«sausage» sliders were as good as it gets. My 19 year old son who is a sworn carnivore loved this place. The kale salad was awesome with a garlic dressing that went well with the bite of the kale. My main dish of grilled cauliflower with chutney and spinach was superb. The deserts were to die for with us barely able to finish the brownie and strawberry shortcake. If there is any thing they could improve on it would be the service. I needed to flag the server down to get the slaw for the sliders which came out a little late and to get my wine refilled. Other than that the service was fine with a friendly staff. I can’t wait to come back. Oh and by the way prices were reasonable.

Absolutely incredible… everything from the wine, to the tostatos, and lasagne. Im a big meat eater and my father secretly brought me here. Not to mention how good I feel after my meal. I wish I could eat here every day. Also our waiter David, super friendly and his recommendations where spot on!

I’m always on the look out for vegan restaurants and let me tell you this one is amazing! My boyfriend(who is not a vegan) and I visited on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed, we were pleasantly surprised at how relaxed the ambience was. The food was great, and service was amazing. Cannot wait to go back! Also, the portion sizes are huge so you do get a bang for your buck!

I was very pleased with my visit to Darbster. 1. They allow dogs, a man’s best friend to join you for dinner. We brought two dogs with us. 2. The service; so friendly and attentive! 3. The food. THEFOOD! So many options. The friends I was with are not vegan but were so pleased with the burritos, macaroni and cheese, nachos, and BLT they had ordered. I ordered the Milanese. The kale was delicious! I wanted more of the kale and heirloom tomatoes on my plate! The panko-crusted gardein was yummy as well; but I am more of a vegetable lover over faux meats. Still though, it hit the spot! The ambiance is so calming, with the overhead ceiling fans, and breeze flowing through. If I visit this part of Florida again, I will be back to Darbster Bistro!

I would like to start this review by confessing something. «I…am not a vegetarian.» I know, I know. Still, you have to admit it takes a real man to say that these days. Yet, at a place like Darbster thankfully, someone like myself would never know they are eating vegetarian. First and foremost I would like to thank Darbster for creating a restaurant that is «DOGFRIENDLY»! Did I all caps that just now? Sorry, not sorry. We dog lovers who love our dogs love taking them out to dinner with us and to be honest, I find that it says something about the owners. #Doglovershavesouls The food is absolutely delicious. If I may suggest anything it would be to try The Wellington. It is a flaky pastry stuffed with gardein and mushrooms over mashed potatoes and a vegetable based gravy. As opposed to a Beef Wellington which has, you know, beef, Darbster’s Wellington is 100% Vegetarian. It’s like eating meat but, not. It’s delicious and to be honest, as a meat eating man who is very health conscious it made me happy to find a healthy alternative to an otherwise calorie heavy dish. The dining areas are also very pleasant bordering on romantic. Inside, it is dimly lit, open and airy. The outside patio has wonderful hanging lanterns and has just enough room to seat 6 or 7 tables. They also have a small strip of tables overlooking a tiny creek. This area is covered with a thicket of trees with a few subtle hanging lights for décor. The wait staff was super friendly even with my dog Juno. Juno is a 50 something pound Husky. Though it was a little on the loud side when we went, it was still a very accommodating experience as they were happy to sit us in a corner with a water bowl for Juno. Darbster earns a 5 star rating for it’s innovative dishes, it’s sparkling ambiance and it’s wonderful atmosphere

The food was fine, but the service was so painfully slow that it made me want to scream. And the place was at least half empty at the time, and there were plenty of folks working. But from the moment I walked in the door… it…took…at…7−10…minutes…for…anyone…to…acknowledge…my…existence…and several more minutes to be seated… out on the mosquito-haven known as the patio. Then it took several more minutes to be re-seated indoors. By the time my food finally came, I was so hungry that I was about to just start eating from the plates of the folks at the next table. It also took way too long to get the check, for my waitress to pick up my check & get it back to me. I only ordered an entrée, as I am but one person, and had no one to drive me anywhere(so no alcohol) and no one to share my food with, and my waitress was clearly disappointed that I only ordered one item. The tacos were delicious(hence three stars instead of two), and they weren’t too expensive. But the service is so slow and not friendly(at least not to new faces — the folks at the next table were clearly regulars who spent many many minutes talking to their server) that I would recommend calling ahead to just order take-out.

I am very happy for this vegan paradise. It is my all time favorite not only for awesome vegan food but for the great music which is never loud and it is just nice sitting next to nature outside. Actually I could come here in a kayak or other watercraft from inland. Best wishes to the chef. I visited this place more than a dozen times and it is definitely one of the best vegan restaurants in South Florida. Every town should have a great place like this whether for vegans or not.

We went here for lunch. The atmosphere is really warm and inviting! I got the tuna club. It was made out of almonds and was on flax bread. It tasted so fresh and light. It came with a carrot ginger salad. I think there was slightly too much dressing on the salad for me, but it still tasted great! We got the carrot cake for dessert. I don’t know how they can make this taste so delicious! I wish they would re open their location in Boca! Great place!!!

I ended up at Darbster Bistro completely random because my boyfriend has a friend who’s girlfriend is vegan(yep, that’s a long chain) and we wanted to do brunch together but didn’t know where. Since we’re all very open to new experiences, we were actually excited about coming here. Just as we walked into the place, it gave us great vibes. We had to wait for about 2 minutes while they cleaned the table but that gave us the time to wander around and get a better sense of the place. The best selling point for me was the live music on the patio. So chill, so nice. Anyway, My boyfriend and I did halfsies on the plates our friends recommended: the Banana Crème French Toast on Challah with tempeh bacon and the Breakfast Burrito. The French Toast was delicious. Even for me, that I’m not a huge fan, I thought it would be a «safe» plate to go with and it worked. Just the right amount of sweet and savory. The burrito, however, was on another level. I would actually order this even if I wasn’t at a vegan restaurant. There’s really no words to describe it because I don’t even remember exactly what was in it but it tasted amazing. If you have friends that are vegan but you’re not too into it, try this place out! Also– they have $ 3 mimosas on brunch but unfortunately I didn’t get to try them because we found out only after we paid because the promotion was on the foot of our bill. Cheers!

My bf suggested we go out last night which is a rare and precious opportunity as we’re both pressed for childcare and quite frankly, spare cash flow. He’s vegetarian and I’m on the verge. He’d driven by a time or two and was curious. I’d been to the location in Boca. Well we couldn’t have had a better time. From the app of nachos to our entrees. I had the seared«scallops» and he had the tempeh loaf. Both w mashed potatoes, mine w delicious garlic spinach. We shared a bottle of wine and were thoroughly stuffed so as to have to decline dessert. Next time we’ll try the carrot cake though! Ambiance was romantic and service was attentive without being pushy or intrusive. A lovely date we had indeed.

I’m a carnivore in a vegetarian restaurant. It took a bit of push to get me to agree to come here. When I think of vegan or vegetarian cuisine I’ve always equated it to eating something of minimal flavor and then being hungry thirty minutes after my meal. This establishment has changed my thinking. And though I’m not ready to give up meat altogether the cuisine here pulls me strongly in that direction. How can vegan and vegetarian cuisine be this good? It just is. The word I’ve added to my vocabulary is Gardien. The pulled«not pork» sandwich is as good as any pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had. Plus they spared porky. There’s a totally happy pig in slop hanging out somewhere thanks to Gardien — a combination of herbs, spices, and other assorted magic. Vegga-meat. I never thought I’d hear myself say it was amazing. Entrees and soup are delicious here, too. Ambiance is nice. Some chill live music played on my second visit but didn’t overpower the conversation. Cool lights add to the atmosphere and the knowledgeable wait staff not only explains ingredients but are also true advocates of this restaurant. And to dispel another incorrect personal opinion — when I left here I had a belly full and by no means felt hungry soon after. Yes, you can fill up on vegan and vegetarian cuisine! This place rocks. I challenge any fellow carnivore to try it and not walk away satisfied.

Ambiance was relaxed even though every table was booked on a Sunday afternoon. Seating is plentiful both inside and out, and the outside seating has a certain unique serenity to it despite being located next to a main road. Food wise, every course was impeccably presented, large in portion and phenomenal in taste. My table did the Pesto Pasta, Raw Sushi, and Flak Sandwich as entrees. For desert, the carrot cake, fruit tart and gelato. Service by Connie was knowledgeable, timely, and pleasant. For dog lovers, this location is very canine friendly. Reservations are reccomended as it can fill up fast.

I like to try new things every once in awhile and have to be honest and say that I’m really not familiar with the vegan/vegetarian world, however, I’ve been to Darbster twice now and have not been disappointed. The first thing I will say is that I think they enjoy animals more than people– which I can get on board with. Profits from the restaurant also go to helping animals, again, something I support. Darbster has the feel of a large restaurant, but with a certain intimacy to it. The parking lot is small so time you visit right or you’ll have to find street parking. And for being so close to the main road, it’s oddly quiet. Just don’t get so perplexed as I did if you go and see cats everywhere. It’s again part of their thing; they feed strays so they tend to hang out there. Now onto the good stuff– the food! Being a meat eater, I get worried at times trying fake meats and I’m not even going to try to go into the ingredients and be specific like that because again, it’s not my thing, but what I will say is that for someone who loves his mother’s meatloaf, the meatloaf here comes a close second. It’s so full of flavor and comes with mashed potatoes and veggies. Very filling and reasonably priced. I also had their BLT which is my personal favorite and their sweet potato fries. I think they slice up about three potatoes and put them on your plate. Delicious. The service is always great, the prices are reasonable and portions are large. You don’t need to order too much because you will leave stuffed. Whether your a meat eater or not, Darbster will satisfy pretty much anyone.
