Today I was in the area and was pretty hungry. This place was on my way. While driving I was looking for some nice place to eat, and right in front of this deli I could find the parking spot. When I ordered from this deli, I did not know what to expect. I just randomly picked this place. I got tuna sandwich with tomatoes, onions and cheese. I took it to go and 20 min later I tried it. I should mention that I usually don’t like any sandwiches and I rarely order it but since I had no option I gave it a try. And I should say that it was the best sandwich I ever ate. It was just amazing, fresh and tasty. I was so impressed that I even writing this review. I would highly recommend this place and definitely go back.

Came here on my lunch break and we must have came at just the right time, because we had no line, but when we left the line was almost out the door! I got The Roxy with swiss on rye and it was so fresh! Large portions, definitely enough for dinner or lunch the next day. On Fridays you get free chips the purchase of a sandwich or salad. The food was great, but the service was even better! So attentive and the owner even gave myself and 3 coworkers chocolate hearts for an early Valentine’s Day present. So sweet!

Put a superintendent and project manager(ex-construction workers) in the same vehicle running late to a scheduled residential home visit in Brentwood Circle, one can’t help but be more late by stopping at Sunset Deli. My partner Alan is a repeat customer and this was my first time. I’ll explain why I am so gracious in giving out 5 stars and it’s very simple to explain. A unique storefront located on the bustling Sunset strip surround by rich history especially in the music industry with unknown artist’s walking these streets in the 60’s and playing at local famous venues who have gone on to be musical influences and legends. You have Sunset Deli that sits quietly on the north side of Sunset with your average signage, pair of glass door, large glass windows to the left and right, outdoor seating with umbrella’s and 4′ brown ornamental iron fenced off from general public. Anytime you enter a retail store that utilizes a pair of doors verses 1 single door is so much better. Sunset Deli is different and I myself haven’t experienced this type of welcome in a very long time. My partner lead the way and was received like a celebrity, addressed by his first name and that really does say a lot about any type of business you patronize. The menu is directly to the right of register and it’s very big and fancy with a complete breakdown. Considering we were pressed on time, I decided to get a «The Roxbury» named accordingly. It’s a veggie sandwich with your choice of bread, cheese and it comes loaded with just the right amount of goods. I got mine with everything which includes avocado, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumbers, sprouts, pickles, pepperoncinis, spicy mustard on wheat and provolone(no mayo). We got our drinks from a free standing refrigerator and courtesy bag of chips on Friday only. So as you stand at register, one can’t help but notice the other two employee’s who are the one’s preparing your food who appear professional with smiles. Marshall is the owner and has his son Darren taking orders. This is were it get’s very good with the small chat one naturally develops and it doesn’t stop, it’s very unique and I was totally blown away from my experience. I love to talk and I was lost for words LOL. A lot of happy chatter with no end and I was officially a new customer. I had a few words with Marshall about how«service» has gone down the drain and I said, there is no shortage at this establishment that is managed by old ethics who treat a customer with solid service from every angle. We sat facing Sunset and within a few minutes, Marshall brought our food in standard plastic trays over white paper and said enjoy. Immediately after that, Marshall brought me a cup with ice for my FIJI water. As for my food, it was definitely on the bigger side with volume and sliced in half with a sweet pickle. My palate was fully primed from eating Miss Vickies sea salt and vinegar chips and my first bite went into a state of bliss. A perfect blend of chilled veggies all naturally infused with neither veggie too dominant. I didn’t dare to put my first half down and finished it soon after. I gave my second half a thought and said to myself«go for it». A few things that caught my eye are, Marshall is everywhere inside of this tiny place making sure things are where they need to be. I saw him adjust the lid on a fancy plastic recycling container, he adjusted the lid on a very clean trashcan. Marshall also act’s as a door guy if he happens to be there to let a customer in and right away it’s happy talk. They deliver your food to your table and repeatedly check up. That is definitely attentive service above and beyond, you’re not alone. Marshall took away my basket and all I did was dispose my plastic bottle accordingly. This family business has been in service since 2010 when Marshall bought out the previous owner. It really is a down to earth family business and everyone is treated fair from what I saw on my first visit. The décor is appropriately themed after music, instruments as wall displays, a wall cladded with 12″ album covers and I think there are signed glamour headshots. Too much to absorb and too little time :) Parking is very limited and it’s mostly all metered if you can find one. I typically would not stop with these type’s of parking conditions especially on a busy boulevard. I’ll be the first to say, find parking and walk the distance, NOREGRETS. Marshall and Darren, you guys are setting the mark with customer service with your fine selection of meats, veggies, breads. .. .. .. I’m looking forward to many more visits. Delivery service is available and phone orders. Proudly serving breakfast and lunch. Pet friendly Pura vida :)”

The Marshall’s Hoagie has three different kinds of ham plus bacon. The sandwich would have been better without bacon(and that’s saying something for me). The bacon wasn’t quality and otherwise cold on the other meat slices. The bread was too soft as well. I did like the amount and volume of the meat.

I’ve always gotten delivery via eat24. The food gets to me fast(15 – 40 min) with a $ 1 delivery fee. Everything I’ve ordered has been good quality deli food. I like the sides, the specialty sandwiches, and the standard sandwiches. Bread is good, meat is boars head, veggies are fresh.

I really really like this place. What a hidden gem. I went in and to my surprise it was SUPER busy. I hadnt heard of this place, but soon realized why it was so busy… because its da bombbbbb! I asked for 3 sandwiches and I waited for a good amount of time but I also had specific requests to them and they met all my demands. The freshness and quality of the sandwiches was on point. Also I believe it was the owner ringing me up but he was very friendly and helped me pick the sandwiches. Will be back here and my recommendation The Godfather.

That Godmother sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a really long time. It’s hard to find a good sandwich out there because most places don’t really take the time to care about the quality. Sunset Deli boasts about the Boar’s Head meats they use. That’s the first sign that you are in the right place. The next thing that I really liked was the fact that the regulars came in and by the conversations they were having, meant that there was a history of good food and good service. Check out my pics of the Godmother and see for yourself. It was a great lunch for about $ 13. You can get 2 hours parking at the meters and they have indoor seating and an outdoor patio. Enjoy!

Just have to say the owners and employees are super customer friendly. Additionally, the very best French Dip sandwich I’ve ever had. Everything I’ve had there is good big tasty and they use great bread and Boar’s Head meats.

Caesar salad is to die for! Especially with chicken. Portions are HUGE! Freshest ingredients, Boars Head meat is the best! Great prices, extremely friendly staff, ALWAYSBUSY! I suggest calling ahead because you can wait 20 – 30 mins for a great sandwich especially if you’re out grabbing lunch.

First, while I live in the area, I have never actually been inside the deli. This review is regarding delivery. To start off with some positives, the sandwiches are very good. The portions are substantial(which is a prerequisite for me). The white bread is fantastic and the other ingredients usually taste super fresh. I usually get the godmother or the key club. I’ve also had the chili. No major complaints food-wise. I actually really enjoy their sandwiches. Delivery services, on the other hand, may need a bit of work. I think the first time I ordered, my 30 minute delivery quote turned in to an hour and a half. I wrote the place off after that, but eventually decided to give them another try. More recent experiences have been slightly better, though still lacking in timeliness. The one thing that hasn’t changed about delivery has been that every driver who has shown up appears with a scowl on their face like a second grader being forced to do his homework instead of watch tv. I don’t need anyone to candy coat my delivery experience, but I’d also not like to feel like I did something wrong by paying for(and tipping adequately) for a delivery service provided by the deli itself. I’ll most likely order from here again because I really enjoy their sandwiches, but each negative impression reduces that likelihood. Hopefully, the Sunset Deli will work this out.

This is a Beautiful Little Deli, everything you expect out of a good deli and happens to be on Sunset Blvd. I had The Key Club Sandwich and it was a really good, LOADED sandwich with good flavor. Also, their deli mustard is delicious. Make sure to ask the owner Darren for recommendations if you’re have trouble deciding from their menu and he’ll take care of you. I’m going here whenever I’m on Sunset Blvd.

What a TERRIFIC discovery. Love this place. The owner, Aimen is so cool. Very friendly and the prices are reasonable. Food is fresh and of the highest quality. Parking can be a little challenging, but this is how it goes. It worth finding a parking spot and coming here. This is a great idea if you want to pack food to go and head over to the Hollywood Bowl. This is a one stop Deli. Look no further. It’s all good and a large selection of food and sandwiches.

Great deli, Great owners, and Great employees. I work nearby and grab my lunch here at least 3x’s a week. These are great. They know me, they know what I like to order and will see me walk in at times and ask if I want the usual. They’re already making my sandwich while I’m waiting in line to «order» and pay. The owner and son are really nice and incredibly generous. The employees are cool and nice all around. They have high quality meats and definitely worth a stop in if your’e in the area and in the mood for a good meal. For you challenge people out there, they do have one. Never tired, but it looks really good.

–Great customer service — Nice selection(mostly meat sandwiches, but I took Vegetarian one and it was perfect!) — Fresh ingredients(not your typical half-rotten veggies and moldy cheese) — Bread!(really tasty) Plus: try their pumpkin chocolate chip bread! Sounds delicious and tastes like it! :))

Great place with great sandwiches. This place has a huge selection to choose from that it will take you a while to order. The owner, Marshal, is nice and friendly and he even helped me out with a parking space in the private lot when the meters in the front weren’t working. I’m so glad they’re open for breakfast!
