I used to come to this location, due to convenience, but the parking was always a horrendous and inconvenient. I’m not surprised this location closed because the valet men didn’t seem to care where they put your car, and the parking in the area was always a challenge. The food was okay, but they could cut back on the grease. I surely hope their new location has an Executive Chef and Sous Chefs who are more conscientious to the clientele in their area.

Not good not bad, we ended up there just by accident, I used to come more often and it used to be a lot better and more crowded late/early in the morning; slow service try to pick something that will not mess around your stomach if it is not already messed up by «other» stuff. I know it is hard to go wrong with this kind of food, a sandwich is a sandwich no-matter what is inside it! Guys like these kind of places more…

After waiting 45 minutes for a turkey burger and potato pancakes we canceled our order and went home. It wasn’t even busy.

Terrible service, it took them 35 minutes to bring a cheese burger and a roast beef. The food tasted pretty bad. Our food was supposed to come with 2 different sides(potato salad and chili) but they forgot to bring them and when we asked them to bring the sides they said they don’t come with any sides ??(So why did you ask us what do we want as our sides?) Overall I don’t recommend this place, the quality and the service suck.

I am over Jerry’s Deli. Their hours annoy me, I have written about this for the Costa Mesa location. But, here we are, last night got out of a show and wanted a late night nosh. Actually, we had been planning to go to Jerrys, but still. To anyone posting this 24 hours crap, I have not found that to be true. Ever. We arrive, I walk in and ask if they are still seating at 10:55pm. They said sure, we are open til 12:30am. I said great, because I don’t want to be keeping anyone. So we are seated and a few minutes later the doors are locked??? Ok, then people want to leave, so they are unlocked again and left unlocked, so about 11:10 a woman walks in and they announce that they are closed. Closed??? They just told me they are open until 12:30. So, she says she just wants soup and goes and joins a party that is already seated. Service is now in the suck mode as the servers now know they are getting to go home early and start clearing the tables and spend all their time in the back refilling salt shakers or whatever. When they brought us the Monte Cristo we ordered, it was more like a Monte CRISCO. The sandwich was literally swimming in plate full of oil. We didn’t even eat all the fries because the ones on the bottom were soaking in the pool of oil. Definitely not worth the $ 19. Time comes, we have the find someone to ask for the check, not that we could go anywhere as the doors are locked again. Leave cash and the waitress tells us we have to use the other door. So we walk half way to the back of the restaurant and there is a door to the patio. We go out and there is an awning like material that is torn from everyone else exiting, which we have to climb through, and considering we were the best dressed there, my girl in a dress and heels, it was not the best end to squeeze between the post and tarp to on to the street. Because people talk about being towed and not being able to read the meter we parked in the lot. Seriously, you don’t make enough on your way overpriced food that you need to gouge diners for another $ 7 to park there for the 30 – 45 minutes it takes to eat a sandwich? Lastly, the TVs were on showing Austin Powers Goldmember. Seriously? It is one of those things you cannot help but avert ones attention to, and seeing Fat Bastard going through is toilet trying to figure out when he ate corn is not really appetizing while eating. Just saying. Jerry, it’s been fun, but probably will not be back. — Poor service — Poor hours — Poor Quality of food — Overpriced food — Overpriced parking

So my homies and I made the mistake of eating here one day and I get my cup of coffee. Sure enough, it tastes like bacon and eggs! I send it back and when my turkey burger came, it looked like a missing piece had chipped away. The manager came out and said that a piece of meat may have fallen off when the burger was being cooked. It’s funny, every Jerry’s deli I’ve been to I have seen something nasty. This joint charges way too much for basic foods that you can make for less than $ 1. Lieterally!

Whilst still a chain, I’ll give this Jerry’s Famous Deli four stars. I’ve been going to this location for twenty years and the food is always the same. The service is not the fastest, but sufficient. Over the years I’ve seen plenty of celebrities and I love the fact that it’s 24-hours. Come on in! It’s nice in here.

Came here for the first time last weekend. Food was good. Service was ok. Overall it is clean deli food. However, beware if you choose to park outside of their parking lot. First, their parking lot charges $ 7. We tried to get around this by parking at a meter, but apparently not all meters are the same. After dining for approximately one hour, we left Jerry’s Deli to find that our car had been towed. It was ridiculous. And to top it off, when we picked up our car from the towing company who charged us $ 150, there was a $ 90 ticket for parking at that particular meter. Lesson learned, read the meters very carefully before parking. Or do yourself a favor and park in the parking lot and pay the dang $ 7.

After hearing so much about this place I decided to try it once I was in the area. I ordered a french dip and will admit it was a good sandwich but it sure as heck wasn’t worth $ 16! I get a place being famous etc. but I can have a nice salmon dinner at a decent restaurant for the same price as a measly french dip from this place. been there done that wont do again. oh and the waiter was so straight out of children of the corn he kinda scared me!

I’ve been eating here for over 15 years. I enjoy it. The place is open late and has a HUGE menu. It’s good for groups because they’re bound to have something that everyone likes. They’ve got a full bar. Valet parking lot behind the restaurant. I usually get breakfast dishes here(which are served all day). I also like the corned beef. They’ve got a pretty good matzo ball soup. Their plates are big and I rarely have room for desert but sometimes I take a slice of chocolate cake home… mmmmmmmm

I had been wanting to come here for sometimes now… so I finally made it here and I was not impressed, actually I was a little disappointed. The price was a little high(compare to Brent’s in Northridge), but again this is West LA and across the street from Cedards Sinai we’re talking about. As for the food, it was just ok. I ordered corn beef Ruben, it was two pieces of breads, little sauerkraut and 4 oz of corn beef(too much meats for my taste.). However, I do have to say, the corn beef was good, not salty. The bottom line — most likely I would go to Brent’s instead of here.

Simple deli food in a clean, good looking environment. I believe it was redesigned recently because my friend was telling me there used to be lots of old pictures of Hollywood stars and that is not the case now. It feels modern with hints/a tribute to delis of years gone by. The food won’t blow you away, but it’s just what you’d expect from a standard deli. That being said, the pickles are some of the best I’ve ever had. Portions are on the small side for the price and service is fine. Visited on Thanksgiving of all days and it wasn’t packed at all so I can’t comment on wait time.

The minute I walked it and sat down. It just seems gross and unsanitary. strange feeling. Food was basic deli style. A plethora of options. service started well and then she went on break without telling us and the replacement server NEVER came by. Um. Yes. I like to eat without WATER!!! geesh. The potato pancakes. gross and dry. what was that? GROSSANDDRY. That was the worst i’ve ever had. I had the lox. that was questionable. I ordered the onion bagel. It came with the everything bagel. awesome. My friend ordered coffee with a side of lipstick on the rim. you know, places like this. i wonder how the stay alive.

To echo everyone else, their service is sub par at best. Their pastrami sky high and matzo ball soup keep me coming back. Just go in expecting shitty service and be pleasantly surprised if this is not the case.

My coworkers and I came here for lunch and I left happy and satisfied with my meal. I ordered the Teriyaki burger and it was delicciousss. The burger was the right size and it was so flavorful & juicy. I love the grilled pineapple slices they put in the burger. Definitely made the burger flavor stand out. I also like how you can substitute onion rings instead of fries for no extra cost. Yes, the prices are a little bit on the pricier side, but not crazy crazy expensive. I ended paying ~$ 19 for my burger, onion rings and a soda. Service was great too. Our waitress kept coming to check up on us so that was nice. Next time I want to try their desserts :)

Let me start off on a positive note. The pickles were ok. The scene is set: It’s Friday night and my girl wants soup n salad. I tried everything in the book to sway her towards a more fulfilling meal, but she wants what she wants and she gets what she wants. The order was matzoh ball soup, veggie soup, veggie burger fries and two salads. Here’s what each menu item tasted like: SALT, salt, salt, salt. Literally one of the worst meals I’ve had in years. The delivery guy also forgot the ranch dressing and bagel chips. Maybe I should thank him, since it probably saved me from additional sodium. I drank water all night to cleanse my body of the salt fest Jerry’s employs as their main ingredient. I’m saving my deli splurges for 2nd ave in NYC.

Honestly, why is it «famous» again? Ah yes, the late-night couples that eat there and display PDA to the extreme — like it’s their own private bedrooms. Disgusting. I even told the waiter, «can you tell them to get a room?»(pointing to the couple that had their tongues down each other’s stomachs — yes.that deep) THAT’S WHATSHESAID! LOL. Ahhhh… just wanted to add some humor to my night that’s all. I knew he wasn’t gonna tell them that of course. Food was blahhhh.

First off, I would not call this place a deli. I am from the east coast and delis are mostly take out small places with made to order sandwiches. This place is set up more like a Denny’s in terms of size and yes it’s also a chain. They offer a big selection of sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, many fried items, some salads, and a small selection of vegetarian friendly items. My friend and I shared a veggie wrap with hummus, which was good but nothing I would go back for. The others at the table ordered a burger and a tuna sandwich. The sandwiches are ridiculously overstuffed and even more absurdly over priced. When we first sat down one of my friends made a comment about the $ 15 price tag for a sandwich which does not include a side. I totally agree. It’s stupid how much they charge. For the positives: The pickles get 5* b/c they are very tasty and I like that every table gets them like you get chips at a Mexican restaurant. And our server was attentive, friendly, and knew we were short on time so gave us our check right away. They do offer a take out menu, which is convient for families that have to spend time at Cedars, which is right across the street. But I wouldn’t go back to Jerry’s. If you want a good sandwich, try Bay Cities in Santa Monica or All About the Bread on LaBrea and Melrose.
