It pains me to give a negative review for such a special occasion as Mother’s Day, but sometimes the need is so great to inform others so that they do not become victims of such offensive practices. My son lives in NYC and sent me flowers, as he always does for Mom’s Day. I know the expensive inflated holiday price that he paid and cannot believe that this florist could send such a pathetic arrangement and expect it to be representative of what was charged. I went to the florist’s web site to see what type of bouquet is offered in my son’s price range and the difference between the online photos and what was delivered to me is astounding. My flowers consist of four limp and opened SMALL tulips, one spray of pink MINI carnations and two sprays of LIMPID pink roses which I am certain will not make it till tomorrow. Also included is a single stem of the typical grocery store phlox and the rest of the mix is florist sub-standard greenery filler. The driver would not come to the door. He called me from the street and I had to go and meet him to receive the bouquet. Wonder what would have happened if I wasn’t at home. I tried to contact the florist directly via the email link on their web site, but it was ‘temporarily unavailable’ and rerouted me back to the main page. I guess taking orders is more important that responding to customer complaints. My son made my day by sending me flowers. The florist ruined my day by ripping of my son. Caveat emptor!
