Taco King

Eh Taco King.
Food was just okay. Burrito was the size of a baby. But the taste isn’t there. It feels like a Taco Joes.
The signs say they use fresh ingredients which I can’t complain about. The rice was dry but they could just naturally make dry rice. The place itself doesn’t feel clean and the wall of taco eating contestants is a little confusing. There’s people up there that eat anywhere from 7 – 25 tacos in a half hour or something like that. Like what are the terms? The 25 sounds impressive but what’s the deal with 7???

I would always see this place when driving up Hempstead Turnpike and never thought twice about stopping there. Well today I was hungry and wanted something different and was just thinking about what to eat and I figured what the hell let me just go to Taco King. I got the rice bowl with steak, chicken, and shrimp and let me tell you I am so upset with myself that I waited so long to go to this place! The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Taco King, you definitely have me as your customer!

Ordered the grilled chicken rice bowl and chicken quesadilla for dinner last night. Delivery was within the time as promised. Food was delicious and it did not cost an arm and leg for it. Would definitely order from this place again.

Three takeout orders in a row gotten wrong. I’m done with this place.

made to order… excellent tacos and burritos. no frills kind of place. all about the food. quesadilla, nachos, rice dishes etc available

Good food. Love the quesadillas… guacamole was ehhhh, nothing special. Steak dishes are always hit or miss. I always feel like when dining in, they do a better job with my food rather than take out. The only downside to this place is that the prices keep getting higher and higher.

Came here with a friend to do the taco challenge, not much of a challenge. Tacos were quite good but after about 16 of them… they got a bit bland.
Will go back.

Taco King has good food and my family always orders taco King because the like the free delivery just want to put up this comment because I like tack King I my my favorite restaurant that does delivery

I am obsessed with Taco King. I think I order from them at least once a week!
When I lived in Queens, Taco King was a favorite of mine. And praise the heavens because I moved right near another location of theirs! What I love about TK is that everything is super fresh and super filing. The 1 Pound Burrito and Black Bean Quesadilla are my favorite items. I’ve yet to try their tacos, but I’m sure they’re just as tasty!
The West Hempstead location is quite large with lots of seating. Service is also very friendly and quick.
Make sure you ask for the mild sauce!

It’s okay and a quick option for when you’re really hungry. The inside of the place always looks a little dirty and disheveled which makes me question why I’m there – again for the really hungry.
The chili tacos are an exact replica of the tacos served in elementary school where everyone would spend the rest of the day farting. The burritos are okay. The nachos are okay. Again, this is an okay place. Okay?

I have always heard raves about this place and saw the sign taco Tuesday’s so I figured I’d go for a try seeing as it’s Tuesday. It’s 99 cent for chillie tacos but I decided to go for the grilled chicken… It wasn’t that cheap $ 4.89 for 2 of them, but I figured hey I am being healthy by getting the grilled chicken… Well I’m not sure if this is even chicken or just really dark meat, my sister thinks it’s pork but we are really not sure.
My other friend got the one pound chicken and steak burrito which looks a lot more appetizing. I tried a piece of the steak and it was better.
Definitely not worth the 10 minute drive when Taco Bell is around the corner… But I’d try it again maybe I just came on a bad day.

Quesadillas are there best and there just ok
Came here with my family to grab a quick bite to eat.
1. Quesadilla was ok
2. Soft Tacos was nasty
3. Hard Tacos was nasty
4. Burritos rice and beans taste old
All in All — I liked this place a lot ! But it’s just way too dirty it’s like you guys never clean it EVER ! Plus the food quality is going down the drain ! …I Hope things will change for the better here in the near future

The good– the food. The bad– delivery service. Delivery takes over an hour and the food is always cold. Also, on two separate occasions I ordered for delivery and the food never arrived. I called to check the status of the order and the girl said, «it’s still cooking», that was after a 2 hour wait. In other words she never placed the order. After multiple orders, and I mean multiple, I have given up. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else. Their food is certainly not worth the wait or the headache.

Came here for lunch yesterday and I didn’t realize how expensive they were for two little tacos and a drink. I felt like I ordered a kids meal for $ 10. Why so much for nothing? I rather go to taco bell and get 3 tacos for $ 4 lol.
This is just me other people love this place.

I used to go here often before I moved. good food nothing mind blowing but better for you than Taco Bell. Service is very quick and they never got my order wrong. I wish they delivered, I guess that’s my only complaint besides the menu being somewhat limited.

I went to Taco King for the first time the other day. I ordered a mini chicken burrito which was pretty good. I had no complains about it. Will probably go back.

I just can’t get enough quesadilla from here!!! Specially the steak and shrimps!!!
They homemade flour for quesadilla, u must try and have it right after from the kitchen

Bought Rice Platter, came in Styrofoam container like Chinese food. Paid like $ 10 and quantity was much like for kids. Chicken taste good but otherwise food was ok. nothing special.

This is another Asian run Mexican take out place. Most of the food isn’t very good, and it’s not authentic Mexican at all. However, they have a taco Tuesday special with $ 0.89 hard and soft beef chili tacos. These tacos are like tacobell tacos only way better. It is easy to become addicted to them. I recommend checking out taco Tuesday here, but that’s about it.

Not a place you’d normally expect to have decent food but it’s pretty fresh. Definitely a step above Taco Bell but with comparable prices. The quesadillas and double shelled tacos are very good. Their tostadas are a little over priced for what you get.
The salsa bar is key if you are a fan of spice. You can pile on as much as you want.
