They were rude, the food was really subpar, and I’m fairly certain I saw them spit in my drink.

I had been once before for drinks but decided to check it out on Father’s Day with my family. There were plenty of tables available just inside the garage doors. It’s really a nice set up, you get the benefit of the open air without having to deal with full sun. Got the garlic parm wings and the big pretzel with cheese sauce for apps. Both were great. The wings were meaty and the massive pretzel goes well with both the spicy mustard or the beer cheese sauce. Meals were a bit more disappointing, the chipotle chicken sandwich was boring and overcooked. Spoiled with my sous vide chicken breasts I guess. The fresca margarita was just alright, the strawberry caipiroska had 0 alcohol in it. Probably would stick to the beer next time.

I’ve been there twice. Two times too many. I ordered a bourbon on the rocks. When we get the bill, we notice on the check was $ 10 for the bourbon, then $ 2 for rocks. We were shocked to see a charge for ice! The food is crummy bar food, not good bar food. About 5 months later we went back with a friends we met on the street. Again I ordered bourbon on the rocks and our friend ordered a bourbon straight up. We get the check and sure enough, $ 2 for rocks for me, $ 2 for rocks for our friend. He never even had ice. I think they try to slip it in to make extra money. Needless to say, both times after complaining we did not pay for the ice. I will never go back there. Due to this experience, I don’t trust them.

We stumbled across the World of Beer on our way to our usual joint. The name was enough for the boys to want to walk in, and I was tempted by the outdoor/indoor patio. Our server Chris(Christian??) was fantastic! When he learnt I didn’t like beer, he brought out all kinds of fruity beers for me to try, two of which I actually really liked. The cocktail I’d already ordered was decent, nothing to write home about but then again this was the World of Beer. The food however– possibly the best pesto hummus I’ve ever had! We just shared appetizers, but both the flatbread and hummus are recommended. We’ve already been talking of going back, Hubby for the beer and me, for the hummus of course!

Way over priced liquor served by a young clueless staff. Stale beer smell and the usual fatty, salty, fried pub fare. I was meeting friends from work. Otherwise I would never go there.

I have only been here once, and all I ordered was a shot and an appetizer… but there was a live band and a free table right away on a Saturday night… so four stars! PLUS my hubby has been here a handful of times and really loves it and the beer selection. The bar itself is nice and spacious with outside seating, We ordered the huge soft pretzel which was buttery goodness with spicy mustard that was so spicy it cleared my nasal passages. I had the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shot which was good but mainly just tasted like a fireball in milk. We stayed for about a handful of songs from the live band and called it a night, but I would definitely come back based on my experience and order some more grub and different drinks!

World of beer is like the McDonald’s of Craft beer bars. It’s a chain so you are not going to get the authentic-feel of a craft beer spot. I was disapointed when they didn’t really have all of the beers that they list on their menus and wall displays. It could be that they have kicked those particular kegs when we ordered but it’s not a great beer experience. The service we had was good. The noise level makes it too hard to talk unless you scream. The cover band they had was pretty good they covered a range of old and new music. The prices for special beers are a little inflated.

Maaaa! Geez we where here with a group of people took forever to get your Beer & Food took quite long for what was ordered. And I really don’t think the Giant Pretzel and Tator tots are made from scratch so I don’t know what the delay was. This is more of a Bottle beer establishment. Couldn’t find any of my favorite beers here??? IPad was a pain in the but to search for beers you were better off skipping a table and sitting at the bar to find anything with ease. Also the server didn’t seem to knowledgeable. So it just made for a drawn out frustrating experience. Menu is very limited… actually went next door for take out…

Pros — Pretty good variety of beer. Especially when it came to their bottled beers. Decent service. Nice location and environment. They let you sample the beers before choosing one. Cons — When we arrived, it was very unclear whether we should wait to be seated or seat ourselves. I guess you’re supposed to seat yourself. Since you have to seat yourself, you may have to sit at a table which has yet to be cleaned off. Surprisingly small menu of foreign draft beers. For a restaurant that specializes in beer, the appetizer menu is surprisingly short. We basically had to choose from wings, potato wedges or crackers & hummus. The wings I ordered seemed slightly undercooked. Not crisp at all. However the flatbread & hummus that my friend ordered was excellent. Overall, I’d rate WOB in Blue Back Square to be an «OK to good» experience.

Stop by on a busy Sat night and were lucky to get a high top table by the front. A nice couple leaving flagged us down to offer the first come first serve table. The bar area was 3 people deep. So much that some people left after getting tired of waiting . We ordered some garlic parm wings. Which came out really quick. They were crispy and well coated. Great flavor. We also ordered 2 beer flights. The waitress was super helpful at helping us selecting beers. The hard part is remembering what we ordered to try. Next time I will take some notes in my phone. I great place and we will be back to try some more beers.

This place is awful. Patrons walk in the door expecting some direction from the staff, but all you’ll see is a frantic wait staff who won’t tell you that it’s seat yourself dining. If you happen to see the tiny sign indicating that policy, good for you! Next, you will be forced to skulk between the crowded aisles is search of a vacant table like a creeper, dodging wait staff and other patrons. We patiently waited for a table to open. There are people waiting as well who had arrived after us. We were completely reliant on the honor system that those people would allow us to get the next vacant table without swooping in for themselves. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive despite being swamped. She alone allots for the two stars. We tried twice to order beers, but each were out of stock(take them off the board of that’s the case!). Next we ordered soup and wings. Both were sub par. We decided to dine for our entrees elsewhere. We asked for the check, and no sooner did the bill arrive in the sleeve that a young woman came and sat down with us in order to «save the table» for herself and her friends. This was completely inappropriate and rude! I blame the seating policy. Please amend this. It’s ridiculous. The food was bad. The experience was worse. I won’t be back.

Have been here a couple of times for drinks, trivia, dinner and now brunch. I was pretty excited they started serving brunch, but ended up being disappointed. I got a Beermosa & breakfast tacos. The Beermosa came sans orange slice(it’s the little things!) and the tacos were pretty bland. I think for the price, I’d rather grab brunch at avert or elbow room. Other times I’ve been here the food has always been mediocre — they do have an incredible selection of beer & the flights are awesome. I’d say best to go here for a couple of drinks — especially in the summer when they open th garage doors, but skip the food. Would have given 3 stars, but the waitress was rude to customers as they came in and that’s just not cool.

First time visiting WOB so I can’t really draw a comparison to the chains around the area. Came here on a Saturday night and it was packed. The place was packed with TVs streaming the NBA all star weekend which was great. Cool atmosphere and service was really friendly! As for the beer selection, I can’t compare it to other WOBs but compared to the places around Blue Back, it definitely has a great selection. Prices are fair and they have cool flights! Local flight is $ 10, belgian is $ 14. Pretty cool place to have a couple of good beers. They had a live band playing and they were actually pretty good too! Location is convenient. Will be back!

I must be upfront in my review and state I am not a beer drinker, so my review of a place called«WORLD of BEER» may be deemed invalid by some Unilocalers, but I had a pretty good experience here last Saturday and thought I would share. The bar area was reasonably crowded for an NFL playoff saturday. However, our server alerted us to a table with guests that had just paid so we were able to snag seats relatively quickly. I ordered a mix drink called the Strawberry Caipiroska, a twist on the very popular brazilian caiprininha. As my brother and his wife are Brazilan and I have enjoyed many of their caipirinhas, I thought this was a good bet. I was wrong. The drink was not good. However, I must say that when I decided to order another drink, my waitress noticed that I had left the strawberry caipiroska untouched, and she told me she would return it and take it off the tab. I very much appreciated that and I was impressed with the service. My party also ordered a round of shots. We went with the«Washington Apple» and, as far as shots go, I didn’t think they were half bad. I didn’t have any of the beer, but the people in my party seemed satisfied with them. However, one of my friends appeared to order the last bottle of one of the lagers and when he tried to get another, it was sold out. So I guess thats a ding against a place called WORLD of beer. When it comes to food, this place has, by far, the best soft pretzel I have ever had. I don’t know if that’s damning with faint praise, but it is what it is. Order the pretzel.

No reservations so assuming you split your group of friends into different corners of the room and all have walkie talkies, you may be able to awkwardly stalk a table of people enough into leaving. And if the other 18 people fighting you for a table don’t get to one first,… …you’ll find it’s a great spot for beer.

Beerunch? Beermosas? These are not just slightly poorly-mashed Hollywood-couple-type names, these are genius ideas that should be celebrated with… well, with a beermosa! We walked into WOB promptly at 11am on Sunday morning, ready to fight the crowds for a table and a drink. Luckily, no one else shared our ideas so we had our pick of a table. Our waitress knowingly handed us drink menus before the food menus(was it that obvious?) and gave us a few minutes to peruse. I went with the«Blueberry Wheat» French Toast and my friend settled(after much back-and-forth) on two Breakfast Tacos. We each ordered a beermosa as well. ((BTW, I love that the brunch menu gives you suggestions on beer pairings for your breakfast dish. This is the breakfast place that alcoholics dream of.)) Our beermosas came, with a wedge of orange on the side, and I was hooked. It wasn’t too beer-y, which I was worried about because, really, 11am is a very early start for me when it comes to drinking. The food was good. It wasn’t amahzing, mind-blowing, any of that — but it was good. A little expensive for brunch($ 9 for 3 slices of toast?) but I would go again. I glanced at the beer list up on the wall as we left and saw some things I haven’t tried yet, so I definitely want to go back. I’m giving this place 4 stars for now and will update once I’ve been there for dinner/drinks.

50 rotating taps and another 500 or more local, regional and international beers by the bottle … Need I say more? That’s all you need to know. Beers are available for sampling in flights of 4. Be prepared to wait, wait for seats, wait for beer wait for food… If u are in good company it’s not that big of a deal else bless you. I recommend the giant pretzel and garlic wings.

Going to give it a 3 star simply based on the service. good GOD was it excruciatingly slow. and there was no need for it. It just wasn’t that packed. My girlfriend and I sat down immediately at a 2 top table right by the bar and had to wait, no lie, nearly 10 minutes for a server to even approach us and then it took another 6 – 7 to get our drinks. We both ordered the Ace Pineapple Cider that was hooked up to the infusion line of peaches, blackberries and raspberries. Holy mother was it good. So refreshing. Just what we both needed after a long day working in friend ordered the pretzel and it was bigger than her head.omg.ridiculous! She said it was amazing though. Ihad the Crab Cakes because they were gluten free and what crabbies they were! so yummy! They didn’t taste like they were GF at all. which is a testament to how good they are so even if you aren’t GF. order theses, you’ll LOVETHEM!

I like World of Beer for what it is. It’s got tons of beer selections, decent bar food, and at times, a very crowded atmosphere. I’ve only been twice so far — once on a quieter Tuesday for Happy Hour and once on a Friday evening when it was packed and you could barely get a place to stand. I prefer the quieter atmosphere, but it’s nice that WOB can offer both. The Happy Hour specials are great. They have cheap drinks and food. The highlight for me was the biggest soft pretzel I’ve ever seen. It comes on a hook with beer cheese. It was definitely larger than my head! When we did Happy Hour, it appeared they were between shift changes and the service left something to be desired(pretty slow and we got the wrong food) — but nonetheless a good experience. Overall, WOB is a clean bar that will definitely be one of the most popular places in Blue Back /WeHa Center.

Spontaneously(!) came here with Joe B. for a drink. I dig the technology-savvy, iPad list of bottled beers. Draft beers are extensive and probably one of the best in town. Prices aren’t particularly competitive, but they know they have something unique and originally missing in town — a huge beer hall that is both family friendly and fun. Taters($ 7) were a bit high for what they were, but the beer cheese that is poured on top helped make them a bit more interesting. They didn’t skimp on the bacon. Kristen, our waitress, was sweet. I am digging the outdoor seating option and would definitely come back for a drink.
