Small place with homemade cooked meals delicious each time! Love the phở! And the spring rolls, one time I had the Vietnamese pork chop and that was delicious as well… This place is a gem!!!

This was my first taste of Phở. Both the food and service was good. I will defiantly try it again.

This place was ok. I am a big fan of phở and do not like the broth to be overly sweet but in my opinion it was. I ordered the meatballs and they did not give enough meat or noodles. For such a big bowl of broth, I wanted more stuff in it! We ordered the shrimp rolls and I didn’t realize they have bean sprouts it then. And I don’t care for bean sprouts. My boyfriend ordered spicy phở and he enjoyed it but my meal was only okay.

Very good phở. Weird interior and the world’s slowest service. Good food makes up for all of that though!

I haven’t been to Phở 206 in a few years but a lot has changed — and in a great way. The menu has been expanded a bit and the phở tai(rare beef) I enjoyed tonight was absolutely outstanding. Fragrant, delightful broth, fresh add-ins(sprouts, basil, lime), and wonderful meat. Perfect for a chilly October evening. The shrimp spring rolls were an excellent starter!

Been a loyal customer of Phở Boston for years and decided to venture out to other smaller Phở joints, ended up here. The place is a little hole in a wall restaurant and has many flowers and plants everywhere, which is kind of cute. Anyway, food… mediocre. I was disappointed. We had Beef vietnamese pancake and chicken phở. Pancake was minimally prepared, meaning very little meat and ingredients inside. Chicken phở was a little better, but the broth??? Tasted like beef buillon cube. Added tons of basil and bean sprouts and lime and hot sauce and that helped, but couldn’t help but to notice the overcooked noodles too. Chicken was okay but didn’t taste freshly cooked. I guess we will be trying out other phở places!

I just moved to WeHa this week and Phở 206 is right up the street. I placed an order for pickup and the woman was very nice, and food was hot and ready when i got there. Phở w/chicken was great ad I’ll be back again!(only reason its not 5 stars is the noodles were on the underdone side.

If I could have given this place a half of a star I would have. We walked into the place on the snowy day and no one was in there. I said hello several times, then finally the«old lady» came over with a grimace on her face I’m not sure if it was because we interrupted her Asian soap opera or because she had to get up, but she was clearly not happy that we had come in. I asked her several times are you open because of the snow. I said we could gladly come back another time If she wanted to close due to the inclement weather. Her response was, «I don’t speak English.» The«old lady» be grudgingly took our order and then proceeded to the kitchen. We ordered the scallion pancake the shaking beef and some spring rolls to start. In the kitchen I heard microwaves going followed by dinging. Then«SURPRISE«our meals came out. Need I say anymore! I think even the rice was microwaved!!! She never came back! We had to go up to the counter and ask to pay our bill. Umm. Nope, never going there again!

While this place lacks in ambiance and décor it more than makes up for it with delicious phở. And cheap delicious phở. I love to come here on a cool night and get a steaming bowl of phở. Don’t be dissuaded by an empty restaurant, the family that runs the restaurant is very friendly. Often I leave with leftovers and I’ve never been disappointed. This place has become a go — to restaurant for me in West Hartford.

Came in on a chilly Saturday night with H. Parking was easy, convenient and off-street. The shop was dead. Completely. The hostess was playing on her phone with her feet up(no judgement, I might’ve done the same if it was dead). We promptly sat wherever(just as the hostess insisted) and quickly ordered. H ordered a large bowl of phở(one staple with which we judge Vietnamese food) and I ordered a typical SE Asian dinner– #51 fried eggs & beef atop a bed of rice. H’s phở was just meh. It had a nice kick of ginger for a hint of spice(but seriously not spicy– don’t be scared), but otherwise it was bland and flavorless. To make his soup worse, his beef tasted as if it was swimming in the pot all day… The making of yucky meat. Blech! My #51 was just ok. Nothing special and nothing flavorful. At least the tomato tasted fresh. Also, I’d like to mention that well into our meal, a few other customers came in to enjoy warm meals. It was nice hearing the hustle and bustle of others. Haha. All the while, the hostess was difficult to find… Typical waitressing(it’s everywhere, not just CT) in an Asian establishment. Really not sure why. This restaurant is literally within walking distance from my apartment. I’m not sure I’d walk over…

My parents are huuuuuuge fans, so I decided to tag along one night. They both ordered Phở, my dads a super spicy variation and I ordered some egg roll pork noodle dish. No, really, it was cut up egg rolls, pork and noodles. I also ordered a diet coke, which came out in a can with a plastic cup. After drinking half(before any food came out) i noticed a greasy film on the top of my drink. After bringing it up to our waitress, she brought me a new one with a glass. Not the biggest fan of what I ordered, but will be back, I’m sure, to try the Phở.

My bedroom window looks into the back of the restaurant, so this has become our go-to. I often go in my pajamas, little girl wrapped in a blanket, to order and pick up. They make a spicy Hue soup(Hue bun bo) that my daughter really likes; its the only place around that I’ve seen that makes it. I’m not a huge fan of phở; but, the proximity and my daughter enjoying their soup tips the balance in that direction. The staff has always been very friendly to us. Yeah, not overly attentive, but thats the way t’is for many of the little shops in VN(daughter’s mom is VN). The digs are a step above Huang Viet; just a touch better interior decorating. Huang Viet DOES make a gua ga(shredded cabbage salad with chix), which is my fave; phở 206 does not. What they do have is good, solid phở and rice dishes. Very competent spring rolls.

Our thermometer was reading 100 degrees. I was surprised when my son said«I don’t know why, but I am craving Phở!» We decided to head over to Phở 206 and have lunch. My son had Phở, I enjoyed Shaken beef, my wife ordered number 34 a cold dish of noodles with a spring roll sliced up on top and other ingredients. As usual, the meals were excellent. The air conditioning was working fine(Thank Goodness). We were waited on by a server who I believe is related to the woman who is the cook here. He was very helpful and polite. We all enjoyed our dishes.

As a Vietnamese-born American who has lived in California(San Jose and Orange County reign as the largest concentration of Vietnamese people outside of the country itself) most of my life and as part of a restaurant family, I know the culture and cuisine well. FOOD: the chicken phở was just okay. The broth was not as clear as it should be and the flavor was a little off – not as rich and dynamic as true phở should be, and perhaps a little too salty. Contrary to other reviews, the bean sprouts and mints were actually pretty fresh and they give you slightly pickled cut chili peppers as an additional garnish. The Vietnamese iced coffee was pre-made, but tasted fine. SERVICE: was pretty inattentive, as others have stated, even though the restaurant was not that busy when I arrived. The waitress was not very friendly. They do accept credit cards. I do have a special place in my heart for family-owned restaurants, but one of the benefits should her more personal service, right? LOCATION/AMBIANCE: parking on the street is hit or miss. Inside, the place is small, but fairly well-kept. VALUE: the prices are pretty reasonable, but I think, overall, you could do better in terms of what you get for it.

I’ll risk it and go against the grain here– I actually found the phở broth to be better than the broth at Vietnam Restaurant or Phở Boston. Just sayin… Noodles are standard and toppings are standard(though they could’ve been a bit more generous with the limes). They were out of tendon, which is my favorite, so that was a downer. I suppose they can be excused given we went on the Sunday before Labor Day, but reading some of the reviews below, it seems they’re always empty. It makes me wonder if they consistently keep a low supply stock. Only way to find out is to go back again! Yes the service is almost non-existent. I ran out of tea in a matter of minutes, and got no refill. The waiter was completely absorbed in a Viet soap. It’s fine– I actually would’ve felt guilty tearing him away from his precious screen.

My favorite spot for phở is Phở Boston but after hearing so many great things about Phở 206 I decided to give them a try. I went on a rainy day so the place is empty. Beside my table there was another table with a man and his son. I was excited to order after seeing the menu as there was a description of northern and southern style Phở. I ordered a vegetarian broth and my boyfriend got the meatball Phở. When my bowl of Phở arrived I was disappointed to see a few broccoli pieces floating at the surface. When I dipped my spoon into the broth I noticed it had a beefy scent. For someone who doesn’t eat any beef I was extremely disappointed. A true vegetarian Phở broth is prepared with carrots, celery and an array of spices and herbs with no meat at all. When asked if the bowl served was vegetarian I was reassured it was vegetarian. I guess their idea if vegetarian Phở is simply using the beef broth and adding vegetables. I was not impress with Phở 206 and will continue being a regular at Phở Boston. The prices are similar to Phở Boston. The only pro was there was no wait here.
