We have been eating here for years, and nothing can beat this. The bagels: perfectly cooked, timed so they are as fresh as possible in the morning. The variety is plentiful, and usually a special flavor is added for the season or holiday(i.e. green bagels at St. Patty’s day). The people: mostly Wellesley high school kids on a busy Saturday morning. The kids look you in the eyes, greet you warmly, work hard to get your order right. The eagle eyes of the long-time managers don’t miss a thing, and it’s refreshing to see kids being«raised» to learn how to work quickly, accurately and friendly with the guidance of benevolent managers. There is usually a line here, but there are plenty of folks behind the counter to keep it moving quickly. To us, this is our local bakery, where we can grab a delicious bacon, egg and cheese sandwich before a busy day of errands, or a toasted cinnamon sugar bagel with melty cream cheese on a leisurely Sunday, sitting outside on the sidewalk on a beautiful day and watching the world go by.

Best bagels in the world! Cinnamon sugar bagel is amazing! So many options for cream cheese… I love the honey walnut, I could eat it straight from the tub!

Employees were very helpful– considering this was my first time at Brueggers. Restaurant clean. I got a free bagel by signing up to the email club. A free bagel — no strings attached!

I ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese. I was watching her put the cream cheese on the bagel and noticed that the bagel was burned a bit, but I figured I’d let it go since I was hungry and wanted to get my meal. But what struck me was how fast I assumed she had toasted the bagel since it seemed to happen really quickly! After I got my bagel and cream cheese and went outside to eat it, I understood completely how they had toasted it so quickly: the ‘toasted” bagel had been sitting around, they hadn’t just toasted it(maybe they toast the bagels in the morning and keep them around to give to customers who order toasted bagels!!). I was thinking I would have a warm toasted bagel that would melt the cream cheese and taste yummy; instead they gave me a previously over-toasted(really burnt) bagel that was cold which they put cream cheese on! Stay away from this place if you can! It was disgusting!

Addictive! This is the best way to describe those heavenly NY bagels. Cinnamon Sugar bagel(320 calories), Everything bagel(310 calories) and Plain bagel(300 calories) were blessed with a moist crust and puffy interior. I ate them all within minutes. Please remember to register to the«Eclub» on their website to get discounts and free products.

Bagel breakfast sandwiches are quite good and they have a nice variety of bagels(choices). Not the fastest service, so if you are in a rush in the AM, probably not the place to go.

Food/Service: Good. Coffee: Good. I’ve been a regular for years… its always been a good place for me to stop. but I’ve been avoiding it lately. Why? The music is just too loud. You are driving me away to your competition down the street! Turn It Down… maybe change the channel too. I don’t need to feel like I’m in a rock-club 1st thing in the morning on my way to work. I want to decompress. Usually I sit in the restaurant… I can’t take it anymore. Please do something about it. thanks

I love bagels. I’ve eaten them all over the world. I travel a lot and whenever I’m going through, or to Europe I often stopover in Prague simply because they have the best bagel place in Europe. So I know what I’m talking about. Earlier today I drove to the Bruegger’s in Natick for breakfast, but it was closed, so after a bit of research I saw that the Bruegger’s in Wellesley was still open so I drove there. I ordered two toasted poppyseed bagels with lox cream cheese and tomato and a large coffee. The coffee was ok, though not nearly large enough, but still, they’re not the only place with smallish coffees. Not a big deal. However, the bagels were a different story. Now I’m used to really good bagel joints, places that that are generous with their schmears and their ingredients. What I got at Bruegger’s in Wellesley couldn’t have been more disappointing. I’ve included pictures so you can see what I was given. When I unwrapped them you could barely tell that there was even anything on them, just a micro-thin stingy layer of cream cheese that didn’t even cover the whole surface of the bagel, and a single, smallish slice of tomato. The flavor of the cream cheese was fair, certainly not the best by a long shot, but not the worst either, but there was so little of it that it hardly mattered. You expect a crappy bagel at Dunkin Donuts or other donut shops, but not at a dedicated bagel bakery. Totally disappointed, just terrible. Had I not been in somewhat of a time crunch and already on my way back home I actually would have gone back for a refund. I won’t be back. And if you’re looking for a good bagel there are two much better places just down the road in Framingham, one is Ashland, and one in Wayland. Avoid this place. It’s no wonder that they’re struggling.

Their bagels here are pretty good for the Wellesley area. Especially if you can get one hot out of the over, which tends to happen to me often. The breakfast sandwiches and deli sandwiches are super satisfying and decently priced. I ordered catering from here once as well and they did a great job. Lines can be long, but they move pretty quick!

Brueggers bagels are delicious! There aren’t too many quick food options on Central Street, but this is definitely one that is worth the visit. New York style bagels generally have a nice moist crust and the inside is nice and puffy. My favorite is their Sriracha Egg bagel. It’s basically an egg bagel sandwich with sriracha sauce and green peppers. The actual location has plenty of seating and there’s even free wifi. Not a bad place to plop down from a day of shopping on Central Street.

The bright and clean store is exactly what you want in a restaurant. Like most baked goods shops, the aroma when you walk in is intoxicating. DONOT enter if you are hungry. You will buy everything. The bagels are the staple of this business. Good, soft, and tasty. There are a number of interesting flavors. Combined with the variety of schmeers, you’ll never be bored. The coffee is also good and flavorful. But most importantly, always fresh. The condiments area is always well stocked. My only«complaint» is the quality of the other baked goods. Very hit or miss. Sometimes AMAZING!!! But other times«meh» is an undeserved compliment. Just remember that it’s Bruegger’s bagels and not«Bruegger’s Croissants» and you’ll be fine.

Brueggers has very friendly and fast service for when you’re in a rush in the morning. Their bagels are delicious, and this location has many free samples. My friends and I went by once for a meeting, and one of the employees came around and offered free cookies for us. I will definitely be coming back regularly.

It took them SOLONG to make one frigging bagel. They seem to have the worst system in the world. I really don’t think their bagels are so great either. It’s consistently messy and dirty — they don’t seem to take the time to keep it clean. The girl was nice at the register, so I gave them one extra star.

Bruegger’s bagels are hard because they are coated in egg before they are baked. Their signature smoked salmon bagel sandwich is very delicious(it’s basically a lox sandwich with capers, cream cheese, onion — you know, just sandwiched), but the bagel is so hard that the smoked salmon slides out of it with every bite. Boo! I’ve been to better locations — the set-up of this place is a bit awkward inside, almost too fast-foody, and they need someone to go ’round the tables and wipe them down in between customers.

I might preface this review with the fact I am from the tri-state area, and I’ve had much better at even the most average store in my hometown, but even if I weren’t from the tri-state area, the bagels are merely passably OK and nothing to really even write about. The employees are uncomfortable shells of people who are extremely offputting to interact with.

I love me some bagels, they are my go to breakfast food, as long as they have bacon, egg and cheese on them. And I realize that there will never be a bagel as good as Ess– A or any bagel from any location in NYC and the closely surrounding areas. So I know I should have low expectations for Massachusetts and I do, but I gotta say, I love me some Bruegger’s. It’s walking distance from campus and it’s reliable, it always tastes the same and hits the spot. I always tend to face the dilemma of whether or not to get a bagel and cream cheese or a BEC, and sometimes, if I’m hungry enough I’ll get both because the bagels here are so small. I have to admit, by midway through the semester I forget what I’m missing and get super pumped about nabbing a Bruegger’s on my way to wherever. Their coffee is good too and I love that they always have Nantucket Nectars. Either way, I gotta admit, I really like Bruegger’s, it’s rather excellent.

Loved my spinach and cheddar omelet bagel sandwich! Iced coffee was perfect and sooo good! Great location, very pretty and scenic. Only 4 stars because my guy gave me no option for what kind of bagel to make my sandwich out of.

The clientele here and the one borderline-uncomfortably-jovial employee take this Bruegger’s rating from a 4– to 3-star review. Still, I’ll be back anytime I’m visiting the area. I snuck out of the house on a Sunday AM to nab bagels and cream cheese as a «Thanks for having me!» thing for my lovies. I walked down the street and was a little caught off guard when all of the patrons at the outside tables stopped talking and gave me the more-than-once over as I approached the shop. I thought, «They must never have seen a hair model before!» and I continued on my merry, bagely way. Then, when I entered the shop proper, I crap you not, ALL conversations stopped, ALL chewing and drinking was put on pause, and ALL eyes either shot a — or slowly turned to — glare at the outsider. EVERYONE’S gazes literally followed me to the counter. Conversations and chewing slowly started back up after a hot, very unwelcoming minute. This made me think, «My, oh my, does Wellesley need more hair models or WHAT!!!» ;-) Fortunately, the overly-enthusiastic employee behind the counter treated me just like he was treating everyone else, in his rather unsettling, maybe simply WAY over-caffeinated manner. The breakfast sandwich he made me with great care was PHENOM!!! Pesto asiago bagel with sausage, egg and muenster, what!!! YES, PLEASE!!! The day old bagels were still fresh and significantly lower priced than the same day ones behind the counter… and they came shaped as squares for easier toasting! The cream cheese variety was nice. They offered some flavors I’ve never seen anywhere else. And the total at checkout was quite nice. I could NEVER have purchased all I did with the quality of product they offer at such a low price in NYC! Mind you, the standoffish energy I received from the cashier was not so nice. But I had my Bruegger’s, which I can’t get in the city, I knew my lovies would be happy and fed, and that was all that mattered. I think next time I’ll wear a neon pink lamee moomoo and unicorn head band to accentuate my naturally wavy curls. I’ll blend in better that way ;-)

I swear, this Bruegger’s location has more free-bagel opportunities than any Bruegger’s I’ve ever been to. Some of the free bagels came from coupons in the paper, and some of the free bagels came from special in-store events. So my point is, if you love a Bruegger’s bagel, it is worth checking your mail for coupons or stopping by here, because you never know if your bagel is going to be free! But if, like me, you love a Bruegger’s bagel(I’m a simple person: plain bagel, plain cream cheese), you don’t need to get ‘em for free. This location is a fine place to buy a bagel, to sit and eat it outside(during the warm months), or inside. It’s not very big inside, but there’s room to sit and eat, if it’s not busy. The service at the Wellesley spot isn’t always with a smile, but they serve a trusty, crusty, reliable product. And annual-subscription bottomless mugs of coffee(I’ve never bought one, but they seem an okay deal if you drink coffee every day, which I do not).
